"Of course, a meeting at a later date would be much appreciated." He would have a chance, as would his brother, to show off what they could do. If they could find a home, a place to settle, Avignon was certain they could both expand their skills and create even more exquisite pieces of art for others to wear. That was what he wanted to do, it was what he was good at.
At least the other was forgiving him for speaking buisness here. In all honesty he didn't know where to find the clan mebers to speak with, at an event like this he figured that would be easier to manage. "I thank you for your forgiveness and allowing us to speak again." He was pleased with the outcome, even if he could have done better, it was the best he could hope for and he knew it. "I'll leave you to your party. I believe I'd like to see more of this masterwork of a party you've blessed us all with."
That and he should find his brother, and get his drink, so they could enjoy the evening. "Lady Fleur." He wasn't sure if she'd hear him, but he'd speak anyway. "Thank you for finding y our husband for us. I hope you have a wonderful evening." And perhaps they'd speak again in the future, depending on how things went.

- Hearing Avignon she smiles- " Your very welcome Avignon, I was glad to help. I hope you and Paris get whatever your seeking. I would love you to find a place near us so we can visit again. Have a good evening." - She snuggles Kitye-
- looking at her husband . She yawns and toys with his mask on his face.- " its getting late my love. I hate to leave you but I need to call it a night. I will leave you to your guests. Join me in our bedroom later? I would like to snuggle more. I have missed you so."

Oh dear. The Marquese was quite right, of course. What trouble there was on the dance floor, if it could be called that. "Perhaps a turn around the room might be better, under the circumstances?" she mused softly. What manner of creature was that Malkavian, tossing her faucet about in such a way, barking, as though the thing was some sort of pet? But then... the Malkavians had such a unique way of looking at the world. It was only good breeding that kept Alessandra from curling her lip in distaste.
The power she'd sensed before seemed to flare for a moment, but then quite abruptly vanished. She resisted the urge to turn toward where it had been. However palpable the power was, she did not desire her current company to know that she'd been attending to it. "My lady, if you desire to dance, then dancing you shall have... but perhaps it would be better to dance elsewhere?" A little further away from the rabble and chaos.

There were as many legends surrounding Ishtar as there were stars in the sky. Thousands of years ago, the most prominent among them was that she was a goddess. A goddess whom Shamhat herself had worshipped. A goddess with whom she had fallen into a dazzling love that had seemed so pure that even the heavens could not have blessed it more. In the embrace of the Disciple, the sacred prostitute had known true bliss. When Ishtar had moved, the world moved. So blinded by that love had Shamhat been that she had failed to see the inconsistencies within the lies her lover had told. For as much as Ishtar had yearned to be mortal or at least among the mortals, mortal she could not be.
One fateful night, the vampire had hungered too deeply, and in so doing had brought her beloved to death's door. As she lay dying within the circle of Ishtar's arms, her 'goddess' had fed her of her own vitae, and from that moment Shamhat's life was forever changed. All of the daydreams and fantasies dissolved in the face of the stark truth: Ishtar had deceived her. And in that deception, she had forever damned her priestess, creating her antediluvian in the hope that they might be together eternally. That love was ashes in Shamhat's mouth.
Never again to know the touch of the sun, never again to know the innocence of her own belief... any children she might have doomed to be damned, just as she herself was. The temple had been rent with a scream of despair and hatred that seemed to go on, and on, and on. Love broken, betrayed to her very bones, Shamhat had fled Ishtar's side, and in that night she went on to ravage the nearby lands, drinking too deeply of those she met, from the first temple servant to the lowest shepherd.
When she became conscious of what she had done, remorse filled her near to the brim... and then dissipated, as though it had never been. In the years that followed, she went on to sire childer of her own, and along with Ishtar laying the foundations for what would come to be called the Daeva clan. Yet all the years and all of the childer could not mend her broken heart. What had once been love was now hate, implacable and all consuming.
Over the centuries, she had Ishtar had danced around each other, coming together and then falling apart. For the Disciple could never undo what she had done. Not even she had that power. So it was that Shamhat had gone into a deep sleep, a torpor from which she had only recently arisen. Drawn by the sound of laughter, the sound of passion, and merrymaking, Shamhat took her first meal. A beautiful dancer whose glittering eyes had reminded her of a time long ago, but who could not replace the past that had been. Although she had been desperately hungry, hard won discipline had kept her from draining the creature dry.
Thus she made her way to the mansion, following the sound of music and laughter... and the sense of first Grendel's and then Lilith's presence. When she arrived at the fête, Shamhat took the sight of the dancers, the revelers, the partygoers in. And then spied something truly unwelcome. The sight of her Disciple on another's arm. A hiss left her lips, her red eyes full of extreme and unabated loathing. The ring on her finger glowed, and she twisted it, turning it so that the gem was tucked beneath her hand. Good riddance. Let another cavort with Her. Stepping into the light, the antediluvian searched for someone to keep her company, a pretty distraction from the hated (and beloved) other.

Artemis hummed. The offer was far too enticing not to take, and truth be told, with Grendel's encouragement...well. Nothing had to come of this but a night of delights that reminded her why it was worth it to spend time in the waking world, and not in torpor.
So, she laid her hand in Ishtar's, and let her fellow Disciple guide her off.
"I think that sounds quite lovely," she purred, pleased.
But there were eyes on them--well. Different eyes. She was sure others had looked, to see two such lovely ladies together, but these were not eyes of interest. They were angry. And while Artemis rarely considered anything a threat, one never knew at a party with this many power players. So, she let her eyes scan the crowd.

Ishtar pulled Artemis to her side with a playful grin and lead her through the throngs of faekats that made merry around them. Eyes turned to them wherever they went and the Disciple drank it in. The two woman stopped moving around the party just long enough for something to catch Ishtar's eye.
They were near the front of the house again, so it didn't take long for her to spot a newcomer to the party. For a moment her breath caught and she thought she had seen... wait that IS her! She hadn't caught her eye but she wasn't foolish enough to think the Antediluvian hadn't noticed her at this party. There's no way the other female would have missed Ishtar's Presence. <******** ******** ******** there was no reason Ishtar had to give up her prize just because Shamhat decided to crawl out of her grave and drag her dusty a** here. What did it matter? Ishtar had Artemis to keep her warm tonight.
She turned back to Artemis, carefully adjusting her facial expression back to one of lust and desire, though the expression didn't quite return to her eyes. "Perhaps we should dance, Darling? Shall I spin you about the floor?" She did a flourish that simultaneously cleared space to dance and showed off her graceful body.

Kitrye merely gave him a simple nod. He was sure his home would soon be swamped by Toreador hopefuls. Only a tiny bit headache causing. They were certainly coming out of the wood work. Turn the lights on and watch them scatter. But his attention turned back to Fleur as she mentioned she was tired. “Oh, of course my sweetling.” He lifted her hand to his mouth and he kisses it. Watching her for a mere moment with hunger and desire in his red eyes. “You head off to the bedroom and I will join you as soon at this party starts to break up.” He took both her hands on his own now and left them to his lips kissing them both on equal numbers before he ran his fingers along her cheek. “Good night my love. “

It could have been a sack of potatoes at Ishtar's side and her Antediluvian would have been just as pissed. Whatever little pretty thing the Disciple had picked up for the moment would be but a flight of fancy, as always. Ishtar never did stick around for long. Her eyes glowed ferociously for a moment, but then she unleashed her will to enchant the mortals nearby. Depending on how strong the kindred near her might be... they might feel the sway of her power. The priestess slipped through the entranceway, eyes seeking someone to entertain herself with.
She had passed a rather cute little vampire on her way in... perhaps she'd double back and find her. Ah, but there was another Disciple in the crowd who seemed none too pleased by the company he kept. Why not entertain herself and him in the bargain? But there was something not quite right with that plan. Over the centuries, it had not escaped her notice that Ishtar seemed to particularly hate when the company she kept was female.
Perhaps... both? Even as she approached Illyes, she allowed her Presence to extend farther, until it encompassed Sereza, the enchanting creature she'd seen lingering outside the mansion. The crowd parted before her as she made her way to the Disciple's side. "And why is one of the Disciples entirely alone?" she asked, her voice a velvety purr that was not any form of artifice. She was not and would not look at Ishtar or the female with whom the other was presently entwined. Her manner was poised, her movements effortlessly graceful and sensuous... and yet somehow nonchalant. She did not care what her sire was up to.

If it were possible for Alessa to get a headache, she was certain one would be doing its best to develop. Still, she plastered on her best polite politician's smile, and wished, briefly, for a world in which the Gangrel were not her responsibility.
Ah, but that would mean letting them into the wild, and that simply wouldn't do.
"I'm so glad to hear that no one is causing any trouble. I'm sure our gracious host would prefer that there be no brawling within his walls, no matter how...rambunctious," ah, she did like that word for them, "some of the guests may be."
Outside, well...that was another matter. Far enough outside and it might even be out of her jurisdiction.

Ertéan was not afraid.
That, and his lips on her forehead, soothed Miyako's worries; if he didn't fear the presence of the Gods, then she ought not, either. Though their positions were quite different, she trusted that he would not allow for her to come to any harm.
"I'll be careful," she promised. There certainly looked to be enough sorts that she had reason to be wary of--but then, that was why it would serve her well to have the protection of a Clan. For the moment, at least, she had the protection of her mate, and that would have to do.
"Anyone I ought to meet? I'll, ah, try to be a little more restrained."

He continued to lead her across the floor until they began to linger on a spot where there were fewer and fewer other people. “We’ll certainly I will have to come see you dance in the moonlight. That would be extraordinary, a vision to truly see. Do you dance in the nude like they used to so many centuries ago?” Ezo was a young vampire but he knew a lot about the mortal world. One had to when you were Clanless Otherwise the odds of survival were slim. Soon they were out dancing on a balcony all to themselves. Being the leader in dancing made it easy to steer her to some place quiet and secluded. Too bad for her. “Tell me my lovely. Have you ever had dreams of being a star? Bewitching those with your dance so much so that even the stars themselves would be jealousy?” His eyes shining in the darkness. Reaching up with one hand he brushed away a stray hair from her cheek. “So lovely out here in the moonlight.”

Illyes had not expected to be approached, not that he had been attempting to hide from the view of the others, but because nobody ever approached him. He blinked, slowly, and turned toward the voice that addressed him, a cordial smile, merely a reflex, alighting his lips. Ah, but what did we have here? He could guess at her clan quite easily and could feel the power that she extended, though it would have no effect on him. So, a Daeva, attempting to lure in her victims, while also making small talk with a Disciple... He wondered what game she might be playing, and whether or not he should let himself become involved. "I'm afraid I have not yet found the company worthy of my time. Yet..." He tilted his head, eyes not shining with the same warmth he gave his lips, boring into hers. "It seems perhaps the company has come to me. How fortunate." He held out a hand towards her, "Illyes. And you, my dear?" The smile grew, but the eyes remained empty.

You know what? Maybe becoming a clan vampire was overrated after all. Maybe he should seek out his Father, whom he had never officially met (not that he remembered, at least) and confide in him for a little bit of help. He had a strong suspicion it would somehow be easier to get information out of him than it was to get any out of her. Cassius gave his mother the most unimpressed look. But no matter how irritated he was by her, he was determined to get into the clan. And so, he did what she asked, and leaned forward to give her a quick peck on the cheek. How she'd even managed to seduce a God, he'd never know.

Maybe those two drinks were stronger than she thought they were...or was it his charm? Despite all of her caution her curiosity was winning out as she followed his lead across the dance floor. She didn't mind that there were fewer people around as they moved, finding it was much easier to hear him as the voices around them began to dwindle. "On occasion I do. During particular moons I find it best to be more natural when bathing in its light and paying homage to what it brings us." Of course, such occasions were reserved for adult eyes only. "I do sometimes encourage my audience to participate, as well." During special moons she found it was more enjoyable and impactful if others joined the dance around the bonfire, as they did in days of old. There was charm and importance to it. The cool air of the night felt lovely against Endolynn's face and exposed fur as she danced with him on the balcony, her head tilting to the side upon his question. She couldn't stifle a small chuckle. "I don't mind doing as I do now...though it would be a lie to say I never had such dreams when I was younger. Even now, at times, I find myself wondering what it would be like to entrance others so. Perhaps part of me still yearns for such a dream." Not that she wasn't content in what she did now. She enjoyed her passion and felt fulfillment from it. She felt a slight chill course through her skin when his hand brushed her cheek clear of the offending ebony strand, her eyes looking into his. "Yes, it is." Her words were breathy and quiet, a flush of color on her cheeks as she was, indeed, letting herself be swept away in the atmosphere of the party.

Sereza was only here because Ezo wanted to hunt. Her son could so easily slip into a crowd and pick out the tastiest little morsel. Sereza preferred a nice dark alley way. The ambiance creating fear and terror. It made the blood taste so amazing. She had been hanging around outside the front smoking. Just keeping to herself. Not bothering anyone when a rather enchanting lady passed by. Her cigarette almost fell out of her mouth as she stared. Purple eyes wide as she took in her beauty. Color her impressed. The Clanless Vampire felt a strong and strange draw that tugged at her. Urged her to go inside and follow this beautiful creature. She could worry about Ezo later. He was a big boy and could take care of himself. To be honest she didn’t even know why she agreed to come to this party but right now she was kind of glad she did. Sereza followed the woman through the crowd but as she stopped to talk to what she could only assume was a rather powerful, Clanned vampire, she stopped and merely gazed as her. Sucking in a deep breath at the sound of her lovely voice.
