Veronica, after spending some time relaxing in her hotel room, decided to venture out into the city with her classmates. Somewhere along her journey, she found herself separated from the others, but that was okay. With Chespin and Skitty by her side, she explored the shopping district, but with no money, she could only look. Still, it was fun. She loved shopping, even if it was only window shopping, and Chespin and Skitty enjoyed the time out of their Pokeballs. In fact, they were adjusting well to the city, which was a surprise since they had mostly lived around the school campus with all of the beautiful forests surrounding it. Ronna was glad they were having fun, and she was having fun too. The break from school was refreshing, but she knew she would have trouble adjusting again when they eventually went back.

Soon enough, Ronna found her way back towards the other students, at a lottery booth type thing. It appeared as if they were all trying to win various prizes, including berries and plushies. Plushies! She loved plushies! They were so cute and huggable! When she approached the table, she was given sixteen tickets to try her luck. Looking them over, flipping them all over in her hands, she figured she would give it a go.

Tristan was generally bored with most of this trip. There were museums, which were okay as long as he didn't fall asleep during the presentations and such. There were also those dance festivals, but he wasn't a dancer. In fact, he was the opposite. He would rather stand on the sidelines and watch the others dance, as grim as that sounded. Sure, it was a rather lonely way of approaching it, but it was what he preferred. And there were the battle tournaments going on, but he didn't bother to enter. He wasn't the best battler out there, plus he liked to focus more of his attention on the actual breeding of Pokemon rather than the battling part.

Regardless of how bored he was on this field trip, he didn't mind being away from school for a little while. And he knew Turtwig and Girafarig were enjoying themselves. Even now, they were walking beside him, taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the city. Soon, the found themselves at a lottery booth. He spotted several of his classmates there, including Veronica Anderson. Walking up beside her, he claimed his sixteen tickets and glanced at her. "Hmph. I see you're just rolling in prizes there, Veronica. Excellent work," he said with a snarky tone. He would try his hand at this lottery thing, if anything just to beat Veronica at something.

Hearing a voice from beside her, Ronna turned her head to see who it was, but the sinking feeling in her stomach already knew exactly who it was. Of course it was Tristan Daniels, here to pick on her again. He made a comment about how she was rolling in prizes with his typical sarcastic tone of voice. Ronna huffed, scowling at him. "Hey, it was my first couple of tries. I still have thirteen tickets left. Besides, all you've won is a berry. Oooh, fancy," she said with her hands on her hips, clutching her tickets tightly. Sure, he had a berry and an extra chance to win, but she had the drive to win big! Looking up at the Venusaur plushie, Ronna nodded and tried again.
