The Xatu stared a moment, before straightening, and apparently lightening up some. Zak smiled when it disappeared shortly thereafter. He moved, then shifted to sit down, watching Meebus lift back out of the computer, and hover nearby. He had a message from Ashley. How cute. He smirked a bit, leaning back some, then glancing up to his pokemon. "I'll start helping soon, promise," he offered, earning a surprised look from all of them, before he looked back down to read the message.

As far as Zak was concerned, that was a compliment. He wasn't especially worried, either. He had the information, and while this Ashley may be part of his own organization, Zak, and his team knew about them, while the reverse was anything but true. Even if Ashley got to him, he'd still have very little on Imperium, but may still have to deal with them.

Huh.... apparently he had some messages from Scarlett as well. A smirk crossed his face, but he glanced up as Xatu appeared, and a soccer ball tumbled onto the ground. He shut his computer and put it in his bag, along with Meebus' pokeball, and his soda, before rolling the ball over. "Thanks, but stay close. We'll probably have an egg soon," Zak remarked absently rolling the ball up, to begin bouncing it on his knee as he moved to join the search. As if they needed him, but, hey.... he hadn't done much to help. It was about time he actually contributed.

Bouncing the ball high, Zak caught it and snagged it out of the air, striding over to where his pokemon were. "Any of you need a break?" he offered, picking up a pokeball to absently toss in the air while he tucked the soccer ball under his arm. The group looked a bit surprised, but Stranny and Rufflet were quick to decline. He eyed Sotnik, who seemed a bit wary to respond, but put the pokeball away to pull out his starter's. "Don't vorry, Sotnik. You've done razzer good. You should be proud," he reassured him. The serperior blinked, glancing over at the others, before he was recalled. Zak tucked it away before giving a long toss up to release Deys, catching the pokeball on his way back, while Rufflet quickly snatched an egg and brought it over, resting on his trainer's shoulder. Zak looked back to the Xatu, summoning it over. He'd explain to Deys the situation, and perhaps he could finally let Ten out.

Sebastian had pulled out his communicator and had been vacantly staring at it for a good ten minutes. He’d wanted to call his brother but… no one was currently picking up. Which he supposed wasn’t out of the norm; they were either busy in the tower (and he knew his father would be having Nolan assisting him on that) or out to eat or… something. He’d left a message for them to call him back as soon as they could for the good news but now he wasn’t sure what he ought to be doing. He’d gotten his team back and everyone was scattered now in the center, eating away at some food he’d gotten them. They deserved it to be honest; he had a sandwich and soup for himself but had only touched a few bites.
He was really stumped at this point. It was so… weird. Oh sure, there were other regions to completed and plenty of other badges to collect but his initial mission had been to gather and complete the gyms in Johto. And probably take on the Elite Four though he felt like his team wasn’t quite ready for that. They were tough, dangerously so and he reasoned he had quite a bit of training to do before he could accomplish this feat. So, uh… what was he to do?
He drummed his fingers of one hand on the table, other still occupied with the device. He… really wasn’t sure and it was bugging him. More so than the failed battle from earlier, which lingered in his mind and reminded him even more that the E4 was out of the question. Advice would be nice right about now but… well…
Maybe he could text someone? Who? He eyed his contacts. He had… limited options to be honest but he stopped a moment and decided that maybe a good choice would be Jay. He was kind of curious if the cowboy had moved on or decided to just have a perpetual sleep in the caves. That’d be kind of odd. Still, an update would be nice.

Sebastian finished his food and skulked about the pokemon center for a bit as he tried to figure out his next course of action. He hadn’t received a reply yet, which was a bit disappointing but he supposed was a little over expectant of him. Eyeing his communicator, he pondered who else he could text, admittedly feeling a little… lonely. Contacting his family was still a thing he needed to do but he didn’t know… he was honestly just wanting to focus.
So, the league was a way off; he needed to train more before he so much as thought as stepping foot in that place. Maybe he could finish off the other regions? Looking at his badge case, he was really close to finishing Unova … just two badges left there. And then Kalos he had five so … just three. Of course, there were several other regions to visit too, but thinking about it, he could use those for training for his weaker pokemon. Yeah, that’d be good.
And then… there were contests as well. It occurred to him that those were still something he wanted to try though it’d been a while. Thinking about it…
Sebastian fished out Rummy’s pokeball and unleashed the Leafeon. It’d been some time since the grass eeveelution had been out and the loud chirp of delight made him feel bad about it. Sebastian offered a warm smile, scooping Rummy up and setting him on his lap. "Hey there Rummy, I’m sorry you haven’t had a chance to be out much," the man apologized, earning nothing but a gleeful chirp and excited look from the pokemon. That was Rummy for yeah, not a single negative bone in his body. Sebastian couldn’t help but grin, scratching him under the chin.
"So Rummy… are you still interested in doing those beauty contests?" He inquired, watching the pokemon for a response. Less because he thought he might miss an answer and more so because well… it was Rummy and he might’ve needed elaboration. The Leafeon did indeed stare for a moment with that sort of vacant happy look he had before perking up and vigorously nodding his head.
Sebastian chuckled. Well good to see he didn’t have to elaborate. "Great! I mean, we’ve got the time for now so, it’ll be worth it. Maybe we can get you a ribbon?" Rummy’s eyes practically shined at the mention of a ribbon causing another chuckle from his trainer. "Then… we can head back to Lilycove maybe and try again? Maybe get you a few more of those poffins…," And get some more grooming supplies and such. Sebastian was recalling the amount of work it took to get ready for a contest. Rummy was abuzz though excited and well… that just meant it was too late to turn back.

Sebastian was rolling his way out of the local Pokemart, having successfully managed to not be up-sold and buy things he didn’t need. Which had only occurred because the Johto stores were rather lacking in contest goods for him to acquire. He’d need to head back to Hoenn for that (or Sinnoh that was an option apparently) to get that kind of thing. Which was fine because he intended to do that anyway.
Mulling around for a ride to come pick him up (he really needed to get himself something to fly on as well), he watched Rummy and Bluff rumble around. Or, Rummy anyways. Bluff looked miffed to be bothered by the Leafeon, glaring daggers at the other. He was sure it was nothing to be worried about though. He swatted a strand of hair from his face (Sebastian needed a haircut) before feeling a rumble from his bag as his pokegear went off.
"Oh!" Sebastian looked away from the pokemon to dig the device out, confused as he noted a voice mail. Who was that? He played it and gave a little smile when it turned out to be Jay. Oh good, he wasn’t dead! Why the voicemail though? Sebastian thought a moment about it; because it was easier. It was easy to let it slip that texts weren’t as easy for the cowboy to respond to. He took a moment to listen to the message, giving a bit of an eye roll and head shake at the comment.
Jay had an … interesting sense of humor, didn’t he? It was probably better that it was a voice message because that tone was needed. He mulled over the suggestions; they were pretty much the same ideas he’d been considering himself. Though rangering was mentioned again and he thought a moment. Huey had mentioned the same thing when they’d been travelling together. He still didn’t have much of a clue what that was about; maybe he’d consider it.
Sebastian was about to type a text but stopped deciding to respond like for like. "Yeah, color me a coward, right? I was just looking out for them, I’d hate to displace the current champion with my amazing skill." He shook his head, own tone joking. "I figured I’d try contests again actually. Rummy is still really interested and I probably owe him that much. We’re probably going to drop back into Hoenn to do that. Not sure about other regions… or ‘sight-seeing’ things. Huey mentioned the rangers though… maybe I’ll check that out. We’re in… Blackthorn city right now. Probably going to head to Lilycove again though. Where are you?" And with that, he send the voice message off and tucked his communicator away. A few more minutes passed before his ride finally arrived and he was hopping onto the Pidgeot to start heading off for Lilycove just like he planned, Rummy and Bluff tucked safely for the ride.

While the little Rowlet was being tended to, Wei rested down on one of the lobby couches beside Kotensa. The older blonde gazed over to Wei with a wide smile. "You're so kind." She stated, drawing Wei's attention. "Oh? I only do what is right." She replied. Ko shook her head adding in a small sigh. "It's actually a pretty rare trait these days. So many people busy thinking about themselves." Ko looked away, stretching out her arms before her. Wei replied with a fairly meek smile, but then looked away herself. A yawn from her traveling partner drew her attention back however. "Perhaps we should get some rest?" Wei thought. Ko gazed over and nodded. "Yea, I'm beat. The cold from that Icy cave really takes it out of ya." She added. "Then let us get a room to rest for the night."
Approaching the counter once more, Wei found Nurse Joy once more busy at work behind the desk. The pinkette looked up with a smile. "You're Rowlet is in fine health. They just need a bit of time to rest." She mused. "That is very good to hear." Wei quickly replied. Fully relieved to hear Nurse Joy's news. "Could we perhaps get a room for the night?" Wei asked. Joy offered a nod, motioning towards a hallway off to the side of the counter. "There are several free rooms to pick from. Enjoy your stay."
With that, Wei and Ko made their way to a room, finding the first one they entered to be unoccupied. Releasing her Pokemon Wei quickly got ready for sleep, while Ko quickly passed out herself. Surprisingly it look little time for Wei to find sleep, and thus off to the dream realm she wandered.

With heavy eyes, Wei felt herself slowly returning to the world of reality. A grumble passed her lips as she let her eyes adjust to the partial light that seeped into the room through barely parted blinds. It took but a moment, but her senses started to return. The soft breathing of her Pokemon, both awake and asleep. Sitting up she found herself partially dressed with only a clumped up sheet at her back. The room was warm, so it wasn't as thought she woke up freezing, which was nice. Gazing outside she could see it was daylight, but the alarm clock on one of the bed-side tables noted it was just about 8 in the morning. As the blonde swung her legs over the side of the bed, she gazed back at her pillow to find something rather... unexpected resting here her head had previously been. A feather. Shiny and silver. Reaching towards the feather, she felt a warmth radiate from it.... a gentleness as well. Lifted up the feather she was surprised to find it had some weight to it. Though it was no bigger than her palm, which was odd.. the one in the dream had nearly been as long as her arm. Well, perhaps it was just her imagination taking liberty because it came from such a large Lugia.
'Craw' Wei's gaze was pulled from the feather when a voice quietly broke the subtle silence. "Good morning, Wori Wori." Wei greeted giving the Croconaw a smile. Gazing around she spotted the other's who were awake, while some still rested. One such resting being was Kotensa. Rising from her bed, Wei quickly located the rest of her outfit and while she shook it out, she ventured over to Kotensa and gently shook the fellow female's shoulder. "It is time to wake. The dreaming world will have to wait for our return." Wei voiced. After a few more shakes, the fellow blonde finally opened her eyes and grumbled in response. "Five more minutes..." She grumbled, only to find Fone's cold nose pressed against her cheek. "Ohh..!" Ko fussed, pushing her hands against Fone's face, only to be met with even more cold. "Okay, okay, just turn off the ac, Fone. I'm awake." Lifting herself up with the blankets gathered around her the blonde gave a tired smile to Fone, who quickly made his escape, his task complete. "Family time now?" Ko inquired, swinging her legs over the side of the bed to join Wei in getting herself dressed and ready for the day ahead.
After a good hour, with both girls taking a shower, the duo were still in their room. However, having far less hair to let dry Ko left the room to quickly fetch some breakfast before the transition to lunch was made. Wei in the meantime, stood before the bathroom mirror, brushing out her hair. At it's longest it draped just above her bum. It normally took some time to dry, but Zhongzi's cotton-like body absorbed most of the water rather easily... it was also a nice treat for the grass-type, as Wei used all natural ingredients when it came to cleaning her hair, which wasn't all that often a thing... water wasn't so easily available to be wasted in a twenty minute shower back home. When at last Wei's hair was dry enough to pull into a pony, she emerged from the bathroom just as Kotensa returned with a rolling cart filled with food. "You're in luck, Nurse Joy said I could take as much as I wanted." Ko chimed, pulling the cart to a small table that rested at one end of the room. "Goodness, I might be hungry enough to eat it all." Wei chuckled, gliding across the room to join Ko to dine of the fine assortment of breakfast foods.

Giovanni hopped out of the cab and tossed the money in towards the guy. He was frustrated the cabbie did not fly faster. Even after the Trainer had explained and practically begged for it. Something about regulations and air stability. None of it made any sense, but it wasn't as if he really had a choice.
There was only two things in Blackthorn Gio cared about the first was the Gym. He wasn't allowed in though until he beat Chuck, Jasmine, and then Pryce. The latter two he felt were not as big of a challenge. Clair was the last real challenge before the league. Perks of being the eighth Gym Leader he guessed. That however, was not why he came here today. What he had come here was the second thing, a cave hidden behind the Gym. Supposedly the shrine deep I side is for some kind of ancient Dragon Type Pokemon. The legend came from this being the only place you could really find Dragons in all of Kanto and Johto.
He made his way to the side of the Gym and swam across the small lake before entering the cave.

The sun was just beginning to make its way into the sky by the time they made it out of the ice path and to the outer edges of Blackthorn City. Noah had settled down from his freak out, though there was still the stray sniffle as clung tightly to Lafayette’s collar.
The man just welcomed the change of scenery. It was nice to not see a puff of fog accompanying every breath he took. The feeling had gradually returned to the tips of his fingers and the tops of his ears no longer stung from the chill. He did feel a little damp though as the rays warmed him up; there’d been a lot more frost clinging to him than he’d expected. Which called for a change of clothes before he caught some other kind of illness. That wouldn’t go over well with Juliean.
He needed to take a trip to the pokemon center anyways. Even if his team hadn’t taken on much damage, they deserved a little restorative treatment. The Nurse Joy was bright and bubbly as ever, taking the pokeballs without hesitation, though Noah was another story.
"C’mon Noah, yeh need ta’ be treated." Lafayette stated flatly. The Oshawott just clung tighter to his collar, not wanting to let off his trainer’s shoulder. A stark contrast to his normal tough guy demeanor. Lafayette frowned, giving the pokemon a gentle tug. Noah just clung tighter. "Oh dear, is everything okay?" Nurse Joy inquired, watching the scene with a hint of concern. Lafayette stared at the otter silently before sighing and shaking his head.
"No worries, sheila. This lil’ fella’s jus’ goin’ ta stay with me," he said with a confirming nod. That seemed enough for Noah to relax, and the Nurse Joy gave a pensive nod before scooping up the other pokeballs and bringing them over to the heal station. Lafayette left the counter and headed back for the resting rooms that were available for trainers, slipping into the nearest empty one.
"A’igh’ Noah, off." Lafayette tugged the Oshawott up by the back of his neck, the motion so swift that the pokemon just didn’t have a chance to latch on. Gently he set him on the edge of the bed, tugging off his bag and setting it next to him. Noah, stunned at first quickly shook it off, shuffling in his seat with eyes cast down. He was still very clearly upset about his situation and was just waiting for the inevitable reprimanding. But… it didn’t come.
Instead, he felt the weight of a hand on his head giving a gentle pat. "Ain’ tha’ big a deal Noah, buck up. We’ll figure out wha’ happened." Noah perked up, awestruck. He wasn’t in trouble? Lafayette didn’t look angry. In fact, his expression was a genuine look of concern. He had no real idea what’d happened, how could he blame the pokemon for it? He could probably ask Juliean the next time he saw him. Really, there was only one thing he was concerned about and that could easily be proven once they left the center. "Osh… wott," Noah sniffled, trying not to tear up again. Lafayette wasn’t going to throw him away as he feared, and they’d figure this out together. It was an honest relief for the pokemon. The entire trip he’d worried about what would happen to him for this. But now, now he knew. And he felt a ton better for it.
Lafayette couldn’t help but grin as the otter pokemon perked up, chest puffed out with that standard hubris he was used to. With that settled, he dug through his bag and pulled out a change of clothes. He was tired of the loud and proud Alolan print shirt he’d been sporting. It was time to get back to ‘his own style’ so to speak.
Fortunately, he’d managed to retain his original clothes and despite the mess, the Sharpedos had made of him, someone had been kind enough to apply some necessary patchwork. He did his best to make quick work swapping his outfit (with a little help from Noah, as a set of pokemon paws were a welcome stand-in for his missing one) and tugged on his cap over the make-shift haircut he'd given himself as a final touch.
Now he felt right. Rejuvenated. Not ‘burn the world down’ levels of rejuvenated, but certainly could punch his way through the rest of his work. Grinning he pulled the bag strap across his chest and picked Noah up to settle back in on his shoulder before heading out the door and back to the counter to retrieve the rest of his team.
A little breakfast and a moment to sit and plan and Lafayette and crew would be ready to take on the day.

Lafayette let loose a sigh of satisfaction as he reclined back against his seat. He’d eaten far more than he should’ve, but it was hard to deny the appetite from such a long walk. All that time in the caves had been taxing. And he clearly wasn’t the only one who’d felt that way. Noah had just finished off his third bowl of kibble and everyone else had had at least two helpings of their own. They were full, rested, and ready for action.
Though there was a nagging issue that needed to be addressed before they continued their adventure. And it centered around Noah. Before they went any further (because who knew exactly what they’d encounter along the way) he had to know if and how Noah’s power had changed. Evolving was usually a sign of growth in power. So… what did it mean for him if he went backward? Lafayette needed to know if it’d be a problem going forward. Noah was his strongest pokemon.
Gathering the crew back up into their balls and returning the dishes to the drop area, he headed out the center and towards the nearest forested patch he could find. Noah was already chirping curiously in his ear, head whipping around curiously. He perked even more as Lafayette came to a stop, lifted him once more off his shoulder and down to the ground.
"A’igh’ Noah. I’ma need ya to show me a good blue," The Oshawott tilted his head, confused. The Aussie didn’t explain much further, instead kneeling and snatching up a rock. He tossed it in hand a moment as he scanned the tree lines before chucking it at a large mass. There was a violent shriek, and a crash of twigs and leaves before an enraged Gligar appeared. Noah jumped back in response, startled at the sudden engagement brought down on the two. Quickly he realized what Lafayette meant and he puffed out his chest and launched himself at the opponent.
Preferring to be safe rather than sorry, Noah launched a violent burst of frosted air at the Gligar and that… pretty much did it. It was practically a repeat of the Golbat battle in the caves and Lafayette had to refrain from laughing as the creature collapsed much the same, flopping to the ground in a frosted form. Well, good to see Noah still had it in him.
