While he might’ve missed everything else, Sebastian noticed the commotion going, quickly making his way over right as his own Eevee landed the knock-out blow on the other. He paused, sort of staring in confusion at the sight; another Eevee? He glanced down to Shuffle and Kaiser, who both wearing what could only be deciphered as dumbfounded looks. Whatever had happened, it was a shock to them.
His own Eevee shook his head in agitation, wincing from the quick attack before strolling over to his trainer. He glanced up at Sebastian with a curt gaze. "Eevee." He remarked, tail swishing as his head seemed to gesture at his K.O’ed opponent. The trainer tilted his head a bit. "What?" He glanced over, still looking confused about the whole situation. "You want me to… catch it?"
"Eeeeeev." was the exasperated response Sebastian received followed by a crossed look. For some reason, that was enough to get him moving, pulling an empty pokeball out and chucking it at the poor unconscious creature. He hadn’t actually intended to catch more than one Eevee now that he considered it, but it wasn’t worth giving up the opportunity.
The ball shook once, twice and then finally fell still, the light fading to indicate the catch was successful. Seb’s current Eevee just nodded before walking over to the pokeball and pawing at it until it opened. The other Eevee was released, slowly coming to after the unexpected pummeling.
"Wha’ happened…" He asked in a daze, the other Eevee just eyeing his dazed friend, still ignoring the dumbfounded looks of the Mareep and Fletchinder as well as the confused look of his trainer. "You were caught. Now deal with it." Was the answer given, the other Eevee shaking his head and looking surprised at this fact. "Whhaaaaattt…." He responded in a drawn out matter, only averting his gaze as Sebastian knelt down next to him to check he was okay. "You okay there little guy?"
The new Eevee just stared a moment, head tilting a full 90 degrees to the side as he stared at his new trainer. Suddenly he perked up and gave a rather high chirp of greeting before beginning to babble, his friend's ears flattening as a look of annoyance crossed his face. Sebastian just blinked, rubbing the back of his neck. Okay well then, this was certainly an interesting day. He needed to get moving though... he'd have to deal with this on the move...

Jay nodded to Sebastian's confirming question, and waited until the young man had left. It had been a bit since he and his pokemon had some decent rest-- and food-- so he took the opportunity to get everyone fed, and lay down for a bit. He busied himself thinking over his team, figuring he may as well do some rearranging. He wanted to train up some of the pokemon he'd caught, and Mary Lee could use a break. He could only carry so many pokemon with him, so... Yawning, he decided he'd put her in the PC, but before he could make much more progress aside from that, he drifted off, his pokemon all spread out, curled up or sprawled on the floor or a bed, around him.
Jay woke up. Mimey was in her pokeball, as always-- so was Ralts. Most of the others were still out of their pokeballs, though; Quena and Zoey were sleeping on his chest, Mary Lee was softly snoring on her side, Heracross was loudly snoring from where he lay on his stomach, and Gamma was sprawled out on his back on a neighboring bed, sleeping quietly. Even Scy was asleep, and Jesse was curled up next to him, her stingers safely folded with the points slightly angled away from him. Machoke was back in her pokeball-- but Tod was awake.
Jay was oblivious to this at first, until he stirred the girls sleeping on hime, slipping the sleepy Quena into his pocket, and letting Zoey climb up onto his head as he sat up, and then on his hat as he put it back in place. Jesse stirred, but simply climbed over to take the warm spot on the bed where he'd been laying as he stood up. He gave a snap of his fingers, a few clicks of his tongue to get an impression of his surroundings; Scy stirred, slowly starting to wake, and he caught 'sight' of his dewott standing near a window, looking out. Carefully stepping over Heracross-- who was still sound asleep-- Jacque made his way over. "Howdy Tod," he greeted, the pokemon shifting and turning to look at his trainer, "Sleep well? If'n yer feelin' like it, ah was thinkin' we could do some more trainin' on our way to thuh next gym." Tod perked up. "De! Dewott!" he confirmed, puffing up his chest excitedly at the idea. He'd actually been enjoying his break, but he was more than ready to get back into the fray.
Jacque gave a nod, then turned, moving to wake his pokemon, and return most of them to their pokeballs. He checked with the ones he'd be sending ot the PC-- namely Machoke and Mary Lee-- to make sure they were alright with it. Once he was sure they were, he headed back down, working at the PC for a bit to get things organized. He really needed to find a better way to do this... he was positive there would be some sort of technology for it or something. For now, though, he had Scy and Tod help him out a bit, and once that was done, he set out.

Finally, Sebastian found himself back in Geosenge Town. He’d let Spade and Blackjack out of their pokeballs along the way for the sake of quiet company; he’d considered letting the Eevees have one last glance about their familiar home but then… with all that had happened recently, reconsidered. He didn’t really need them running back into the wild somehow. Speaking of which…
He still had that Dedenne to deal with. He’d been so caught up with finding an Eevee and then heading off to battle Grant that the priority of dealing with the little rodent pokemon had fallen from his mind. If anything, this was probably the best time to deal with it before moving on. He paused off the side of the road, pulling out the Dedenne’s pokeball and releasing it out.
It was the first time since catching the little guy that he’d let it out and he was beginning to think he should’ve checked it sooner. The Dedenne came out face flat to the ground, un-moving much like when it’d first been clobbered. Which was rather concerning seeing as how he’d taken it to the pokemon center several different times. He knelt down before the little creature, gently poking it with a finger. Nothing. It wasn’t…
Suddenly it started vibrating again, like it had before. Well that was certainly something. Suddenly it popped up, still vibrating and giving Sebastian a wide-eyed look. "You… okay there, little guy?" The young man questioned, head tilting a bit, Spade twitching behind him uneasily as he eyed the jittering pokemon, Blackjack just watching with half-curiosity. The Dedenne just kept staring and vibrating, Sebastian really wasn’t sure what to gather from it all.
"Listen er… I know Dice sort of clobbered you in the head rather hard and I caught you to take you to the center." Sebastian started talking slowly, still watching the Dedenne carefully. "But you look a bit better now so… if you want to go back to your home, I’ll let you go- ""Dedenenenenenene." Was apparently the little pokemon’s response before in a flash it bolted onto Sebastian’s person. The trainer was startled, and quite rightly so as the small creature pretty much scurried around the entirety of his being. A split second later and Sebastian was swatting violently at the creature to catch it, reactions always a split second to slow. No seriously, what had that clonk to its head done to the poor thing?
After about a minute of smacking himself and looking like an idiot, Sebastian managed to catch the Dedenne, gripping it firmly in one hand. "Dedenenenene!" The little thing squeaked, beginning to vibrate in Sebastian’s grip. This was really awkward. The trainer gave the pokemon a leery eye, Spade staring in surprise and Blackjack in mixed amusement, before giving a little sigh. "… So is that a no…?""Dedenenenene~!" The pokemon squeaked again, beginning to squirm. Sebastian wasn’t about to have that though; quickly retrieving and returning the pokemon. Well then… that was a thing.
"Gonna call that thing Slapjack for that…" Because he pretty much felt like he’d just play the game after that. Spade and Blackjack just gave him a look, the Houndoom shaking his head and continuing on.

With that settled, at least he assumed it was settled, Sebastian moved on to the next order of business. The thought of naming the Dedenne had reminded him that he should name the Eevees he’d caught as well. And he still needed to see the Cottonee he’d gotten. Why did he have so much to do?
He pulled out the Eevees pokeballs, letting the pair loose from them. The more talkative of the two immediately started chattering away, his friend quietly sitting next to him, looking once again less than thrilled with ears lowered towards his back. Now that Sebastian thought about it, names weren’t going to be enough. He needed a way to tell the two apart that wasn’t their personalities; at least until they evolved. He wasn’t sure what to have them evolve into, but he’d need to find the necessary stones anyways to make it happen. Plus, there might’ve been other evolutions out there… he’d have to check. Eevees were weird like that.
After a moment, Sebastian decided some shopping was in order. He needed some more pokeballs and potions anyways before heading out to the cave and maybe he could find something to help him differentiate his two Eevees. With his little gathering in tow, he did just that, picking up more potions and regular pokeballs to add to his arsenal. As he browsed the market, he caught sight of a little bell. It reminded him that he still had the shell bell he’d bought before… but this bell seemed, nicer. In fact, judging by the name, it might be useful on the chatty Eevee’s friend, who at least from Sebastian’s perspective, seemed to be in a constant state of tense.
Stepping outside with his new purchase, the trainer paused, turning and kneeling down before the agitated Eevee. "Here you go, little guy." He remarked, pulling the Soothe Bell out and attaching it around the Eevee’s neck. The little brown creature gave him a leery glare, eyeing the bell a moment. His friend seemed enthralled, a paw flicking out and batting the bell to make it chime. While he seemed amazed, his friend seemed even less thrilled. Well… at least Sebastian could tell them apart for now. So now that just left the naming process…

Sebastian wandered off a bit until he found a nice grassy area to sit with his pokemon. Once he’d plopped himself down, he took a moment to once more rearrange his team a bit, to give the new comers some focus. As he did, he paused, eyeing Butterfree’s ball a moment. He really… needed to find something to do with her. Maybe send her to the box? Or home? Actually not that last one. He didn’t need her poisoning his family or anything. Once that was done he produced Cottonee’s ball as well, letting the unknown pokemon out for the first time.
He wasn’t really sure what he had expected, but he knew he was surprised all the same. Really, the pokemon’s name should’ve been enough of an indicator of what he was getting but it was still a surprise. The little cotton fluff of a pokemon shook herself before looking up at Sebastian. She gave him a curious look that reminded him much of Blackjack’s when he’d first caught him; she was evidently well aware that this was not the same person who’d caught her. Fortunately though, she didn’t seemed too phased.
"Cottonee~" She chimed softly, little green leaf ears wiggling in greeting. Her trainer couldn’t help but grin. "Well aren’t you sweet?" He remarked, reaching and picking up the Cottonee; it was so light, it really was like handling a ball of cotton. The Cottonee gave another little chirp, happily wiggling between Sebastian’s hands. Well… what a nice change for once.
"Alright so… what to name you all…," He questioned, setting the Cottonee in his lap as he thought. The chattery Eevee was still going, having redirected his attention from his friend’s new bell to the fluff ball in Sebastian’s lap. Spade just eyed the Cottonee and Eevees, Blackjack just lying down and ignoring the bunch for a bit.
"Hm…," He eyed the chatty Eevee now pawing at one of Cottonee’s ears. He pulled out his pokedex, checking over the pokemon once more as he thought. "I’ll call you… Rummy." The Eevee stopped fooling with Cottonee, eyes growing wide as he stared at his trainer. Apparently, he approved of receiving name. Whatever dreams he had, they were being accomplished. "Okay, then your friend can be Gin-"
"Eeeeeev." The other Eevee seemed to hiss, head furiously shaking in disagreement. Sebastian blinked. This was new… he’d yet to encounter a pokemon that didn’t like the name he’d given it. Which probably said something about his pokemon and their ability to pay attention.
"What?" He questioned, head tilting slightly. "Gin and Rummy… Gin Rummy… it goes together."
"Eev. Eevee." The Eevee didn’t seem to agree, tossing his friend –now known as Rummy- a leery gaze. Apparently, having a named tied to the other Eevee wasn’t something he wanted. Which seemed odd, seeing as how he had forced his friend to also be captured. Sebastian frowned.
"Well-""Nee! Nee!" Cottonee chirped, her little leaves wiggling excitedly. Sebastian looked at her. "Do you want to be called Gin?"
"Cottonee~!" The fluff ball chirped, wiggling in his lap. He paused a moment, eyeing the Eevee who didn’t seem to care that the Cottonee wanted his intended name, still staring at his friend who was still rather excited. After a moment of consideration he shrugged, picking up the Cottonee and smiling. "Alright then, you can be Gin." It was a little more fitting in a way, now that he thought about it. Cotton gin… hehe.
"Well I still need to come up with a name for you then… any ideas?" Eevee just gave a huff. Sebastian shook his head, standing up with Cottonee still in his arms. "Well then … I’ll just call you Deuce for now." Eevee gave him a skeptical look. Sebastian just shrugged. "You’re Eevee number two. So Deuce it is for now." Another agitated huff, before the pokemon started following after their trainer. Oh well.

One final trip to the Pokemon center and Sebasitan and his pokemon were heading back out and down the path to Reflection Cave. Spade, Blackjack, Rummy and Deuce trailed behind their trainer, Gin nestled in his arms and enjoying the free ride as they walked.
"I got a name, Dues! I got a name! Oh man, I feel so accomplished, I’m gonna go far!" Rummy chattered excitedly as he skipped along with the rest of the pokemon, practically running circles around the group as they moved. He’d nearly tripped half the group because of it too. "He even got your name too! And you didn’t even have to tell him! I mean this guy has got skill, Dues. I bet he’s a like a great trainer!"
"No. He didn’t, stupid." Deuce -or was it Dues as Rummy had remarked?- stated flatly, the Soothe Bell jingling lightly at his neck. Rummy gave a ‘pfft’. "It’s not ‘stupid’, silly, it’s Rummy! I like it! It rolls off the tongue! Rummy, rummy, rummy, rummy, rummy-" He clucked away, causing the other Eevee's ears to twitch. Eventually though he stopped to resume conversation.
"It’s almost the same! And I mean it’s not like he can talk to us anyways so I still think it’s pretty good! I wish I could read minds, that would be fun I bet!" Blackjack looked over at the Eevee’s, seeming to quirk an eyebrow at Rummy. "You’re an excitable one, aren’t you?" He inquired. Rummy just beamed, immediately skipping over and staring at the Houndoom with large, amazed eyes.
"Oh ya, why wouldn’t I be! I can’t wait to go on an adventure! It’ll be like the MOVIES!" The Houndoom looked slightly confused. "Movies…?"
"Don’t talk to that hell hound, Rummy. He doesn’t know anything." Dues snapped slightly. Rummy gave him a curious glance before beaming right back at Blackjack.
"Oh wow do you know Skelter?! He’s from Hellhound Runner! He’s the best Houndoom ever!" Rummy gave a short gasp, as though making some amazing discovery. "I want to be a Houndoom when I evolve!" Dues sighed, rolling his eyes and glancing back at Rummy with slight irritation. "That’s not how it works, Rummy.""Oh…" The other Eevee looked briefly puzzled before returning to his excited self. "Then I want wings! Or a wing! A wing would be cool!"

-]Yes Cerbera had bought the bike, but for now she wasn't very sure about riding it. She had ridden bikes a few times before in her life, so she knew how, but it had been forever since she had done it. At least....that's how she felt, anyway. Plus, the bike she was used to had training wheels on it, something this new bike was lacking. She would need to take the time to get used to it, to re-learn how to ride before the girl would feel comfortable using it as a means of transportation. That time, however, was not now, as she wanted to hit the next town before dark. It seemed they were going to, the quaint little village was already in sight, and the sun was just starting to dip below the mountains. Still, they would need to hurry if they were to find an inn or pokemon center to rest at. As the small group hurried along the road, a band of Nidoran darted out in front of them, chasing one another and playing around. They seemed to pay no mind tot he fact they were in the middle of the road. When she saw them, Berrie's eyes lit up and she knew she had to have one. "Yuki!" she said, "Go on and freeze them...I.....need to catch one of those little guys!"[- -]Yuki seemed to have no problem with that, except that her flip was interrupted halfway through. So, she simply turned around and floated past Berrie while upside-down. The Haunter began to glow and a storm kicked up once more, the cold quickly sapping the Nidorans' strength and knocking them out cold.[-

-]It was a simple matter for Cerbera to catch one of the Nidoran now that Yuki had thoroughly subdued them for her. Then, with her newly caught pokemon in hand, she led her little group the rest of the way into the town. It was far easier to locate this town's Pokemon Center as the buildings were pretty small and spaced quite a ways apart. She was glad for the easiness of it, because it was starting to get dark and the girl was getting tired. She was sure her pokemon were even worse off. As soon as she got there, the girl asked for the nurse to heal her pokemon up and then requested a room for the night as well. Once they were all healed up, Berrie took her pokemon up to the bedroom and they all cuddled up together in the bed. She put the television on for a bit to watch it while they all snuggled in a big pile before passing out.[-

-]Cerbera woke up early the next morning, almost with the sun. She was feeling quite refreshed and thought that she might let her pokemon sleep in for a while. It wasn't as iff she had nothing to keep her busy, after all. So the girl slid out of the pile on her bed and made her way over to her bag. She fished out her almost completed kite and the rest of the parts she still needed to work on. It was a relatively simple matter to assemble a custom kite, but what was taking her so long was that the design needed to be collapsible for storage yet still strong enough to hold a rider. For now, though, the girl put that worry aside. It was far too early to be trying to thing clearly in that regard. What she focused on instead was the graphical design for the kite. She had already painted in most of the "broad strokes" of the picture she wanted, and all that was left were the finer details. The girl soon had her paints set up and started working.[- -]Several hours had passed by the time the girl had finished her painting and she hadn't even really noticed The girl had been far too absorbed in her work. By this point, all of her pokemon were now awake and were playing about on the bed with one another. The only exception to that was Lua, who had gotten up on her tiptoes to peer over the edge of the table and watch Berrie in silence. "Heh, I guess I got a bit carried away, huh?" the girl said, musing to herself, "Okay guys, let's get everything together and head out."[- -]The girl and her pokemon left the center after a quick meal, setting out on the road to further adventures. Unfortunately, they had only gone a short ways when they crossed paths with a pokemon that seemed rather...agitated without any provocation. Berrie had heard of these guys before, but had never seen one personally. She knew well enough, however, to be aware that she had no pokemon on her that had a direct advantage over the Electrike. "Sprit, I'm counting on you," she said, hoping her dear friend would be able to handle the angry creature.[- -]As usual, Spirit was not really given any commands. There was a trust between herself and Berrie, and the girl knew that the shiny Espeon was usually wise enough to battle without instruction. She started off by charging a ball of energy in her mouth and firing off a beam of multicolored energy at the opponent. However, the effect was less than desired and the Electrike quickly struck back with a burst of electrical energy, making Spirit cry out. Her muscled began to tense up, and while she was stunned, the creature had dashed in and rammed Spirit in the side. Painfully, the green beauty got back to her feet, unleashing another beam of multicolored energy, and luckily that was enough to fell the creature, because Spirit collapsed soon after from the effort.[-

-]An empty pokeball flew from Cerbera's hand, striking the felled Electrike and ensnaring it within. However, before even looking to see that the capture had indeed worked, Berrie had already run up to her Espeon's side and dropped to her knees to tend to the creature. She got a couple of potions out and used them to treat Spirit's wounds, but she could do nothing for the paralysis with what she had on hand. She glanced down the road, to where it led out of town, and then shook her head. She couldn't keep travelling without getting this taken care of. "Don't you worry, Spirit," she said, "You're going to get some top-notch care, I promise you." She kissed the Espeon on the cheek and then pulled out Spirit's pokeball. "For now, rest in here, sweetie..." The girl recalled her Espeon, something she really hated to do, and tucked the ball back on her belt. She got to her feet after a moment and turned back in the direction of the pokemon center. "Come on, guys," she said, "We've gotta get Spirit taken care of..."[-

-]Cerbera headed for the Pokemon Center once more so that the nurse could treat her Espeon, and her pokemon were right behind her. All things considered, they were making pretty good time. However, the little group would not be able to rectify the situation that easily. From nearby a voice called out to her, "That's quite the variety you've got there, babe..."[- -]"Sorry don't have time right now!!" Berrie yelled in the direction of the voice as she ran past. She was worried about Spirit, and really didn't want to be stopped to deal with any sort of nonsense. The boy who had called out to her, however, seemed to not take the hint...no matter how directly she had said it.[- -]"I don't think you understand little one," the boy said again, from ahead of her. Apparently since she didn't stop, the other trainer had pedaled ahead of her on his bike and was now blocking her way. "You and I are going to have a battle, and if I win, I'm taking one of yours..."[- -]Cerbera's eyes immediately narrowed. This guy was utter scum, and hurt Espeon or not, he needed to be taught a lesson. She was confident that she could handle this thug easily. "You know what? Fine...But when I win, I'm gunna beat the hell out of you, jerk." The guy sent out a black dog pokemon, making Berrie smirk and she pointed to it. "Loofah, Teach this puppy a lesson. Water Pulse..."[- -]The Frogadier croaked in agreement, thoroughly pissed at the male trainer's attitude, assuming that he could just take one of her friends away for no good reason. Without any hesitation, Loofah sent a powerful jet of water at the Houndour, soundly knocking it out and sending it tumbling into the grass beside the road.[-

-]There was a reason that Cerbera was confident of her superiority, more than one, actually. For one, she cared for her pokemon dearly, and in return, they gave their utmost in battles for her. For another, this trainer who had challenged her was an utter jerk as well as a bully. Berry learned all her life how to take down people like that. Granted, this was a pokemon battle, not a real fight...but the principles were the same. Show no mercy and go for the weak points. When the Houndour dropped, the male trained looked a bit unsettled, something that Cerbera was going to take full advantage of. His next pokemon was a bug-looking thing, so Berrie made the obvious choice. "Your turn, Quill," she said, "It's time for dinner honey."[- -]The pokeball opened and the Fletchling soared into the sky. It spotted the fuzzy bug on the ground and licked it's beak. It swooped down quickly and with a single peck, felled the Larvesta. As the bird came away, it landed on Berrie's open shoulder with some tufts of the Larvesta's fuzz in it's beak.[-

-]The larvesta had fallen pretty easily, leaving Cerbera to wonder what could possibly be backinb this trainer up and causing him to think he was so bad. Perhaps it was some sort of intimidation that the girl was not seeming to notice? Were the pokemon she was facing really that weak? Or perhaps were there a choice few that still couldn't meet her level and the others were ones that he'd stolen? Well, Cerbera would definitely get to the bottom of this. While she was thinking this over, the young man sent out a Shuckle and things became a little bit clearer. She was never quite sure how to take on a Shuckle, but she had heard some horror stories about them if they were properly trained. Nevertheless, though, the girl figured that perhaps her best bet would be to rely on her usual powerhouse. Taking his pokeball from her belt, she said, "Crash, I need your power once more...Give this critter everything you've got."[- -]When the pokeball opened, it revealed an adorable little Makuhita, whose true power lay hidden beneath his cute, tubby exterior. The little sumo pokemon moved in and gave the Shuckle a solid force palm, stunning it momentarily, However, that moment seemed to end faster than expected and the Shuckle struck back. All thinks considered, that flailing about was barely worse than a paper cut, and Crash followed it up with another palm strike to the creature's jaw, knocking it out.[-

-]Despite the horror stories that she'd heard about Shuckle's might and tenacity, Cerbera had not been really worried at all. She trusted her Makuhita and his power. It had proven to be nigh unstoppable in the past and that seemed to be the case this time too. Yes, he got a little scratch, but it was far from anything to be concerned about. The little turtle bug thing was nothing compared to Grant's pokemon. And yet, still the trainer who had challenged her seemed determined to not give up. She wondered what sort of secret he was hiding. The next pokemon he sent out was a surprising choice, as it was clearly at a disadvantage against her muscly beast. Berrie giggled and said, "Crash, an Arm Thrust should do it."[- -]"Hitaaaa," it replied with a nod, then closed the distance on the Larvitar. He unleashed a flurry of quick blows, pummeling the smaller pokemon over and over until it collapsed to the ground, unmoving.[-

-]The Larvitar went down rather easily, which was good because it brought this battle that much closer to a conclusion. Cerbera was getting rather confident now, especially since she had been beating the trainer's pokemon so easily. She honestly wasn't expecting him to have some sort of super powerful pokemon in reserve, but she kept her eyes peeled just in case. When the trainer sent his next pokemon out, a Slugma, Berrie decided to take a little chance. Her Fletchling could use some more battle practice, and this slug could be a good challenge for him. The girl flexed her shoulder a bit to get the birds attention and said, "You take this one Quill."[- -]The bird took off from Berrie's shoulder with an enthusiastic cry. Per the girl's instructions, he swooped down and rammed the fire slug hard. The pokemon was very not, nearly burning the Fletchling, but not quite. What Cerbera hadn't expected, and Quill hadn't either, was that a rock would come from behind as the bird circled around again and hurt the Fletchling rather badly. The bird swooped in again, slamming into the slug and getting another rock to the face in return.[- -]Cerbera recalled her fainted bird, hoping that he wouldn't be too upset once he'd been treated. "Okay Crash," she said, "Looks like you're on cleanup for this one. End it fast."[- -]Crash nodded and stepped back out into the battle area. He charged at the weakened fire slug and pounded it hard with a palm to the head.[-
