Unfortunaely, the microscope is also your grandmother's and is so old, dusty, and the lens is so badly scratched, that you can't see anythin through it.

Unfortunatley, since the microscope is still old, you have to use reflected light for it to work and it's dark outside.

 (Ha ha, nice one! Like Grandpa...thanks for making my day when it just started! lol ) Fortunately, your perceivable Grandpa also saw this coming - and created a built in back-up battery. (No, he didn't see the other event coming though..)

The Leo is about to speak! Unfortunately, in the time you spent pondering how and where to find the spray, the heathens surrounding you ate all of the diseased cheese, leaving you with none and eliminating the need for the spray. The Leo has spoken!
