I agree with justmunkey's last statement. It wouldn't be considered so nerdy if the fans didn't go about wearing pasnt higher than humanly possible.
I looooove anime but I attempt to dress like a J-Rocker...soemtimes.

even though echigo is cool..and i am a nerd..i cant help but admit that anime is truly for nerds..i mean others dont really understand it as well as nerds

Ok..... if a 40 year old biker who used to beat people up for a livivng watch's anime then , you shouldent call it nerdy. cause that 40 year old biker father of mine would kill us all.

I thiiiink I might rather be called an otaku. But I'm not offended by the word "nerd," either. After all, it kind of depends on the connotation of the word as to whether or not it's offensive. :B
