Shinri really couldn't stand these kinds of things. He was sitting cross-legged outside the good professor's lab and staring angrily at the Pokedex as he attempted to figure out how to make it work. Honestly, it was a mysterious miracle that he hadn't up and destroyed the thing, but he understood its importance. If he wanted to be a trainer, he needed the damn thing."Eev?"Looking over at Heiya, Shinri smiled a bit and pat her head."Don't worry, little one. Elizabeth had just walked out of the pokemon lab with her new Fennekin, Camellia as she was both excited and nervous. She hoped that she would be able to raise and have fun with them just like she has with all her other pokemon too. She was walking around the town, thinking about how small and quaint this place was, very different from how New Bark Town was in Johto. It is certainly odd going from one region to a whole new region so quickly, but she had no choice and needed to get as far away from there. Kalos was as far from Johto as humanly possible, hoping that he won't find her here for a long long while at least.

As Elizabeth was looking around in this small town, she had noticed that someone was having a very hard time trying to figure out how to work their Pokedex. How can someone not know how to use one if they are wanting to be a trainer after all? Maybe they are just very technology challenged, not used to being around or working with something like that before. But she didn't feel like it was her place to interfere and thought that they would eventually learn to figure it out on their own anyways.

Shinri let out a series of curses, though he made sure to speak in Zoroark to avoid tainting the ears of any children around. Heiya and Moyasu, however, were both able to understand what he was saying completely. The Eevee pinned her ears to the ground with her paws and Moyasu simply stared in curious wonder as she tried to figure out what the words her trainer was saying meant. Irritated, he nearly crushed the device in his hand."Whatever....Why do humans even need these things? I literally grew up in a cave, and I turned out just fine."Okay, sure. He was the worst at controlling his temper and the anger itself was even worse. And, he didn't know the first thing about fitting into human society. And, yeah, Shinri was completely capable and willing to kill anyone without remorse or hesitation that dared to hurt him or his family. But! He was alive; and, without a single phone or light bulb to aid him. Still, a faint smile crept across his face."Well, I wanted to learn how to be human, so I shouldn't complain. Shinri knew he was weird. He'd accepted that the day he left home; he wasn't normal by human standards. Still, not being normal had its perks. Within minutes, he managed to find and snag a Bunnelby by its ears, lifting it with a smile. He loved Pokemon, hated seeing them hurt by humans, but that natural order of things was simple; the weaker ones were prey."Moyasu, front and center!"The Fennekin bound over, looking up at the Bunnelby expectantly as if she was looking at some kind of rare treat. Whatever got her motivated to fight."You can fight it if you can catch it."Seeming to realize it would be released, the Bunnelby geared up to bolt away as soon as it was let go. And, sure enough, it darted from Shinri and Moyasu the instant Shinri's clawed hand loosened enough to not pull its ears off. But, Moyasu was surprisingly fast and cut it off."Great work. Don't hurt it too much. We're training, not hunting."

Elizabeth was still lingering around in Vaniville Town, wanting to relax a little bit even if she is in a hurry. This is still her journey, so it would not be good to rush it too much for her sake and her pokemon too. Speaking of which, she saw as the same person who had been struggling with their Pokedex earlier was now cuddling and cooing their Eevee like they were a baby, finding that very sweet. Aw, that is so cute! But Elizabeth should really be on her way, smiling at the display before she headed out of Vaniville Town and onto her next destination.

Well, this was a problem. He and Heiya were both ready to move on to Aquacorde, but Moyasu seemed to have liked the idea of running off instead. So, the two were stuck looking for her. Shinri wasn't angry, but he was kind of irritated. He'd have to work hard to make sure Moyasu knew her place on the team. Until then, though, he had to keep a sharp eye on her.

At least, even though the wild Pokemon there weren't all that better, they were still technically stronger.

Ashley strolled down the stairs of the laboratory, one arm folded behind his back while the other was out at his side, rolling the newly received pokeball in his hand as he moved. His attention had shifted to his surroundings as he walked before focusing back on the ball in question. It would probably be wise to greet the new addition to his team. He clutched the ball in his grasp, doing a double check of his watch. He certainly could spare the minute to do a meet and greet. Stopping in his steps he turned and pressed a thumb to the button of the ball, watching as the stream of light flashed forward and left the form of a sitting fox at his feet. The pokemon seemed a little dazed, blinking and shaking his head violently a moment before a squinted gaze met Ashley’s own inquisitive one.

Eyeing the pokemon a moment Ashley knelt down to be closer to the ground, balancing carefully on the heels of his feet as he did. He adjusted his glasses again as he looked the confused Fennekin over. " Bonjour mon petit." Ashley greeted, watching as the fox’s head tilted to the side. Of course he didn’t expect the pokemon to understand him no matter what language he spoke in. But that was something the little fox would just need to adapt to and quickly.
"I am Ashley Fontaine, your new trainer." He placed a hand on his chest for emphasis, watching the Fennekin still as he seemed to try and make heads or tails of what he was saying. Without much hesitation, the man reached out and began to check the fox over, tugging at his ears and rubbing his hands over the fur to make sure there was nothing abnormal. The poor creature yipped in surprise, jumping a bit in his grasp before quickly wiggling free to plop down on his bottom, huffing up at the man.
"You seem to be in good health. This is good." Ashley remarked as he pushed himself back up to his feet. He adjusted his vest, brushing out the wrinkles that had formed before turning on his heel and continuing to walk. The Fennekin’s ears twitched, watching his new trainer walk away confusion still etched on his face. Ashley did stop though, body twisting a bit to look back at the pokemon.
