"Speaking of which, are you certain you do not want your bed back? I'm just a freeloader at best, after all." Ashen's asking Rune if he would like to reconsider that little arangement had become somewhat of a daily ritual.

"Maybe. Though you'd have to keep it a secret, because people would be trying to kill you regardless of your intent." Ashen shrugged once more. "Anyway, thanks for being so generous. I still don't see why you insist on giving me so much, though."

Rune simply shrugged. "It seemed like the right thing to do. Besides, the inn can be a tad pricy, and it's not often I get any guests out here."

"Good night." Ashen went on to the bed Rune had so kindly let her sleep in, not taking long in getting comfortable and drifting off into a light slumber.

The next morning, Rune was already up and cooking breakfast as the sweet smells filled the room.

Ashen was up not long after Rune started cooking. She was pretty quiet for the moment being, as she often was in the morning, choosing to focus on readying herself up for the day versus trying to make any sort of conversation.

((Dammit, the fanartists have done it again. They made me care about a character I was very 'meh' towards before, but then they had to go and keep making Mituna look adorable. Just call me a Captor fangirl since I seem to like them all. Although Karkat and Cronus will still have their places with me.))
"Good morning!" Rune chirped in his usual cheery manner when he saw Ashen emerge from her room.

"Morning." Ashen sounded much groggier, as if she were barely keeping awake. Or worse, that she hadn't had her coffee yet. (Which she hadn't. And that's terrible.)
