Toren jumped a bit as he was elbowed, the man shooting Keiko a glare just briefly before it dawned on him what she was driving at. "Yeah! Knowledge be tight, yo!" The said in agreement, in his own colorful way.
"Well then that makes me so happy to hear!" The scientist said glee. "Where to begin..." He said, tapping his chin. "Well, as the name implies we study and keep track of Hoenn's weather patterns and climate at large. We use this data to help better prepare the citizens of Hoenn for natural disasters. Not only do we supply the Hoenn region with such data but we also work with other regions to help mitigate damage done by such disastrous weather. As such we created the perfect Pokemon to help people in any type of weather, Castform! A special Pokemon who can instantly adapt to any type of weather."
"Form form!" The Castform agreed, tiny little arms folded as he nodded with pride. What a ham.
"Castform's molecular structure is actually based off of not only Ditto but also Kecleon, both Pokemon capable of rearranging their molecular structures to different degrees. Its signature move, Weather Ball, also allows it to harness the power of the weather its self. As you can see, I am a big fan of our little creation!" He chuckled.

"Me, too! I think he's really cute!" Keiko said, happy that Toren was at least being polite to the people kind enough to shelter them from the storm. She wouldn't bother getting him to be nice to Castform anymore, though. If he didn't like it, he didn't like it.
"I'm glad you do!" The man said, almost ecstatic to see another lover of his creation. "Tell you what, this particular Castform has been a handful for us, as you can tell it has a personality all its own." The scientist explained.
"You can say that again, yo..." Toren mumbled, the Weather Pokemon hearing him and responding with another squirt of water to the face, the man flailing around a bit before glaring at the Castform.
"Case in point." The scientist laughed. "Any who, I would like it if you took this Castform with you, on loan. As trainers I take it you will be heading towards Lilycove City and as fate would have it I have an associate coming into Lilycove City for just a day who wanted to give a Castform a look over, unfortunately I can't get away. If you can get to Lilycove City in five days and show him that Castform I'll let you keep it." He smiled. "Oh, but there is one problem...we've had trouble teaching this Castform how to use its signature move, Weather Ball, that's another reason why it has stayed here."

'You really want me to take it?" Keiko asked, a bit surprised by the offer. "Well, I don't mind helping out, but, uh... does it have a Pokeball, or do I need to take it outside and catch it?" she asked. Not quite sure how to feel about the request, she stuck to her helpful nature.
"Part of the journey is not having his Pokeball. You'll get it when you reach Lilycove." The scientist said with a smile, as if he was leaving out a part. Was there something wrong with the Castform? Either way the little critter seemed keen to go off with Keiko as it raced over to her, pulling on her arm towards the door. "Looks like it's ready to go...and I don't hear the rain anymore."

Keiko blushed a bit, not meaning to make assumptions. "Oh, okay! Let's go, then!"
Keiko followed Castform out, not worrying about anything that may have been forgotten. She was eager to get to Lilycove and, by extension, Mossdeep, as well.

Toren would follow Keiko out, making his way back downstairs without a word, his eyes set on that annoying Castform ahead of them. Once they made it back down Toren would wave goodbye to the receptionist and step outside, finding that the rain had indeed stopped, though his bicycle was pretty wet.
"You really taking that thing with us, yo?" Toren asked as he tried to wipe his seat off, the Weather Pokemon shooting him a glare in response.

Keiko pet Castform before hopping on her bike, allowing the Normal-type to ride with her if it wanted. She was okay with it flying beside her, though, if it wanted.

Toren would just respond with a grumble, decided not to push the issue further and instead jumped on his bike and kicked off, peddling his way towards the big wooden bridge up ahead.
The Castform would decide to ride with Keiko instead of fly alongside, the little Normal type sitting down on the handle bars and point outward with its little hand. "Form!" It cried, as if saying 'forward'.

Keiko giggled at the Castform, but refrained from petting it further so she could keep both hands on the handlebars for steering purposes. Whatever beef Toren had with Castform went completely over her head, so she tried not to think about it, focusing only on keeping up with the ex-Snagem. He knew where they were going, Right?
It would appear that Toren would indeed know where they were going, crossing over the long bridge and trekking up a few hills as he led the way. They would pass by a pair of lovebirds having a picnic along the riverbed, not letting the wet ground ruin their date. The ex-Snagem also flipped the bird to a young 'ninja' who had jumped out from behind a sheet resembling a tree trunk and demanded a battle, he didn't have time for that.
"Look up ahead." Toren pointed out to a row of trees, the forest ahead parting open to reveal a Pokemon Center at the end of the pathway. It was Fortree City, the tree top city. "I always wanted to see Fortree, yo." He admitted as they biked along the path.

"Doesn't it?" Toren replied as he jumped off the bike, parking it in the bike rack in front of the Pokemon Center. "The guy said to just leave them here, yo. I guess they ship them back. Can't take them further than Fortree for obvious reasons, yo." The man explained before entering the Pokemon Center to notify the nurse that they had dropped the bikes off, that and to get his Pokemon healed up. "You hungry, cuz?" He asked Keiko.

"Not- Keiko started to say as she waited for her turn to turn her Pokemon in to the nurse, but her stomach clearly had a different opinion, as it started growling. "...on second thought, I guess so," she said, blushing slightly in embarrassment.
Toren just laughed at Keiko a bit before getting his Pokemon back from the nurse, promptly thanking her and then walking out of the center. "Nurse Joy said there is a pretty good restaurant two buildings down from the center, suppose to be one of those organic vegan places, yo. Not surprised that's the best place they have in town, I mean, look at this place." Toren declared as he looked around at all the trees, it was then that he noticed where all the buildings, sans the Pokemon Center, were.
"...looks like we're climbing, cuz." He pointed to the tree tops and the 'tree houses' which were constructed in their branches. The man would then notice a ladder and with a heavy sigh he proceeded to grab on and climb up.
