The male went to accept the orb in return, but then the other male from earlier, who'd noticed the orb was missing approached. "Hold on. You know, we don't like when people steal, but on the island we're a forgiving bunch. If you want, a friendly battle could settle this." He spoke. Avikna quirked a brow, rather confused as to why they'd let her simply have it for winning, when it took many other trainers so long to collect all those eggs. It seemed hardly fair to her. "That Lucario of yours will have to take part in the battle of course." Avikna though further on this. Looking back to Arietty, who still had the canine wrapped in her arms. "Alright." Avikna replied. The male took the orb form there and brought Avikna along to a small opening behind the prize booths, calling out his first Pokemon. Avikna in the meantime swapped Aislin's ball up to her main team, along with Dovakin's while she was at it.
Avikna was rather surprised to see the Pokemon Aislin would be fighting against was a Lucario. Arietty released Aislin, and the canine reluctantly stepped forward. She was smart enough to pick up if she'd won, she'd get the stone after all. Well, Avikna would. Whatever the case, Aislin was stuck fighting if she had any hope of even touching the Mega stone again. Though, Avikna's words still stuck in her head. 'It takes a bond like me and Arietty' But how did that explain Ule'tra or Ookoth? Or even Lexera? She was utterly confused as to why they could Megaevolve. "You ready, Cousin?" The male asked from across the makeshift battle field. Avikna nodded.
It didn't matter in the least, as Aislin managed to take down the fellow Lucario rather quickly. The male let out a whistle, stepping up to aid his own Lucario back to it's feet. "Aislin." Avikna quickly spoke up. "If not for me, you wouldn't be this strong." The red-head spoke. "If you can't see that, then there is no hope for you." Aislin turned, her eyes narrowed. 'How so? I could of been twice as strong if you weren't holding me back.' The canine replied. Avikna took in a deep breath, then crossed her arms. "You really think that? I'm the one holding you back? How absurd." "You'd both be weaker if not with one another." The male from earlier spoke. Both eyes ventured over to him, as he stood. His Lucario already looked as through it'd recovered fully. Had it let Aislin win? Even Aislin took note of the Lucario's lack of pain. "It's not my place to judge, cousin. But little 'Cario, you need to focus on what your trainer is sayin' 'cause what she speaks is truth." Crossing the field, the man handed over to Lucarionite, as was the deal. "Take good care of one another." He added, His Lucario walked up to Aislin, holding out a paw, what was meant to be a handshake also displayed a bracelet he had around his wrist, on the bracelet a Lucarionite. Aislin was frozen for a moment. "You did go easy on me..." She muttered, taking the fellow Lucario's paw. This was by far the biggest blow to her ego.

Once they made their order, there was little to do other than wait for them to be ready. Nova watched with starry eyes as the man made the local delicacy, her hunger growing with her interest until they were all ready to go. Without hesitation, the Gardevoir used her abilities to float the treat right over towards her, tentatively taking a hold of it as the heat proved quite intense. Eager to finally try the sweet, mashed Pamtre berries inside, she tried to take a bite right away, only to wince back as it proved much too hot for her to just dig into right away. She had to take a moment to cool down her lips before she could do anything else, followed by the attendant restating his initial warning about their heat.
Her trainer couldn't help but laugh a bit a the sight, before taking a bite out of his own. It was still pretty warm, but he'd made sure to blow on the side a bit before he started eating, letting him slowly begin taking bites out of it. He gestured for the three of them to move away from the stand now that they had their food, to make room for those behind them. Still, he made a beeline for where a great roast had been set up. Mouth watering, he nearly cried with relief that it appeared to be free. He got a big plateful, then shoved it all in his mouth. Something told him to look down at Keahi, whose head was angled up at him. She licked her lips. ”Oh. Right. Takumi gulped his last bite and got back in line for seconds, this time for his pokemon. He then walked the Luau, picking strips of meat from his place and feeding it to Keahi and Merlin as he went. [ that was marvelous my friend, ] Merlin informed Keahi after slurping down a tasty morsel. He wasn’t sure how she’d done it, but she’d gotten their human to give them these tasty treats. He could tell from the wolf’s posture that she was pleased with herself. (Of course, his considerable hearing also told him that Keahi was licking her chops).

Avikna stopped in her tracks, holding a hand forward as a gesture for Tay to stop. "Where did you get that from?" She asked. Tay was about to point back to the stall, but Kezia stepped up beside her. "I asked Zero to pay for it, I'll pay him back myself." The fox stated, motioning towards the white-haired male behind them. Zero was his name? It still didn't ring any bells. "Well, alright. Thanks I guess. Tay we're leaving." Avikna's mood caught Tay by surprise, the red-head didn't look to happy now that she got a proper look at her. Was she upset with her? Tay wondered. "Can't we stay just a little longer?" Tay asked, looking up with her large brown eyes. "No. We've got to get moving. You've have enough time to enjoy this event. There will be others." Avikna was in a bad mood, that much was certain. Tay's gaze dropped, she started down at her Malasada, only a few bites taken from it. She'd suddenly lost her appetite. Avikna hated seeing Tay upset like that, but they had more pressing things to do. If she was going to start being a trainer, she'd have to get used to the fact that it's not all fun and games. Training and hard work were a must. Avikna as well wanted to get back to training. "Say your goodbyes. I'm sure we'll run into one another again someday." Avikna quickly added, looking up to Zero with a stern look in her eyes. "Perhaps by then we'll remember who one another is."

Even he could tell she was in a foul mood, but couldn't know if it was all that out of place for her.

"If I sense we're in the same area, I can let you know. Maybe next time I can show you some cafes in Kalos?" With any luck, they might be able to do just that. She'd hate to leave things on such a sour note.

Melody smirked and raised an eyebrow, seeming to notice the subtle actions Lysander was taking to match height but made no indication that she was noticing. Instead she kept her composure, arms still folded across her chest as she watched him. "Oh? Well that’s good, it’s always good to be so well rounded." She commented, though her eyes gave a little roll at his next remark. "Oh yes, good. You should be, adults take a lot of skill to handle and all." She mused, shaking her head. She’d have said there was a bit of debate to whether Fabian really qualified as adult but it was probably better not to do that with him right there and all.
Fabian kept his grin as Lysander spoke, giving a wink and a pistol point at him in response. "Nice to meet you to Mister Lysander!" He responded before turning his attention back to Heather. Melody in the meantime smiled and gave Heather an appreciative nod at her thank you. She seemed like a real sweetheart; a nice little foil to her brother. Melody did smirk a little, chuckling as she eyed Lysander. "Oh? Well I guess I can let you off on that. This one time." She mused. Not that she was all that serious, but it was clear Lysander was a bit flustered and it was fun to tease.
Fabian couldn’t help the grin on his face, straightening up and placing his hands on his hips. "Really? That’s so neat! I didn’t think you could catch something so cool~" He commented thoughtfully, looking to really think about it. Maybe he’d need to trudge in the grasses a little more to find himself some of these cool looking ‘mons. His grin grew and chest puffed out a bit at her question.
"I have no idea! My mom got it for me!" He commented in the most obvious proud tone. "I can ask her though! I’m sure there’s some simple store or something…," His eyes practically shined when she commented about music, a hand dramatically slamming at his chest. "Do I like music?" His head snapped around to look at Melody as though the question in and of itself was just beyond his comprehension. "Melody, do I like music?"
Melody just gave Fabian a look before shrugging. "I don’t know, do you like music Fabian?" She commented nonchalantly, rolling her eyes and giving Lysander a look that read ‘he’s kind of dumb’. Sometimes, Fabian just made it hard to take him seriously.
"Thanks Melody, you really have my back." Fabian remarked, expression flat lining only briefly before redirecting his attention to Heather and returning his previous grin. "I addoooreee music. ♪I couldn’t live without a song in my life. ♪" He grinned as he sang that last line, looking at Heather with interest. "What about you Heather? "A Rayquaza? I remember it, yes," He started, as he slipped a hand into his bag. "With everything going on, I'll admit I had a bit of tunnel vision at the time. But I remember it well enough."
Digging through his bag while they spoke, Zero eventually found the item he was looking for. A sphere slipped into his inventory without his knowledge, but without going unnoticed. "And, if I remember correctly..." He glanced momentarily around to quickly examine the people around. None seemed too aware of the three trainers, and fewer still seemed to even realize they were talking. Confident that no one else would realize what it is, he brought out the small, green orb, seemingly cut perfectly from the very stone it came from. A Jade Orb. "These are used to summon them."
While the others spoke, Nova seemed to quiet down as talk of the Ball went through. Still holding on loosely to Tay, her weak grip tightened and her gaze shot down, trying her best to stay out of the conversation. "Don't worry about it, Tay..." She tried reassuring the girl. "It's just... something in the past. Not worth getting into." Probably more than any of them, the Gardevoir felt the sickest from those memories. Kidnapped, possessed, and trapped in her own body, watching every second passing as the specters used it to attack everyone. Her powers were completely unrestrained, flooding her mind with every thought and emotion that was there at the time... Had she not erased so much of it from her mind, she was certain she would've collapsed just thinking about it.

Crossing her arms after Zero had confirmed he'd recalled the legend, or at least the ball for the most part. "I remember bits and pieces myself. Seemed I was knocked into the ocean at one point and saved by a Dratini..." She trailed off, wondering as to what reason she'd divulged that information. Well, it was out there now. Not as though it mattered. Avikna's gaze then turned to interest as Zero fished a round green orb from his bag. They were... summoned from those? "I wouldn't know." Avikna replied quickly enough. "The Rayquaza I'd captured... wasn't summoned. At least, not by me." With that bit of a clarification, the redhead took in a deep breath.
Tay in the meantime looked up to Nova who'd added to Avikna's words. It wasn't something for her to be getting into. She was curious though. Avikna had said she'd tell her later, so perhaps she'd leave it at that. Offering a meek smile towards Nova she nodded gently. "Okay. Thank you, Nova." The teen then leaned into the psychic offering a hug. Her gaze returned to Zero and Avikna however, and after spotting the stone, she grew wide-eyed. "Oh! It's so pretty!" She cooed, stepping forward, hands clasped tightly to her half-eaten Malasala. "What is it?" She asked, wanting badly to touch it, but.... it was Zero's apparently, and she was wise enough to not reach for things that she shouldn't be reaching for.

The young man nodded as Avikna made note of her own recollection of events, or at least what she remembered happening to her. "I see. Everything towards the end becomes a bit of a blur, so I don't even remember how my group got out ourselves..." His response was a little thoughtless, not something he seemed to directly aim at her, but just what he thought when she shared her own information. But neither of them lingered on the topic, as Zero revealed the emerald stone he had in his bag, in response to Avikna making note of her Rayquaza. Although, he didn't quite get the response he was hoping for, and hummed lightly in thought. "I see..."
He decided against questioning who might've summoned her legendary dragon, assuming she even meant it to mean it came from another, and fortunately Tay's interest allowed him to return to the orb. "A Jade Orb," he began. "It's an item involved in Hoenn legends, and apparently a means of summoning a Rayquaza. At least, according to the legends." The orb was still nothing more than a deep, green sphere, and had yet to respond to touch. He doubted someone poking it would get any other response, so he held it out for the young girl to touch. "That said, the legends also say that it's used to command the dragon and grant yourself its strength, so obviously they're not to be taken completely seriously."
After a moment, he drew his arm back, and tucked the Jade Orb back into his bag, storing it where it wouldn't be disturbed. "If it's the real thing, I doubt it would be as simple as calling out for a legendary. It'll likely react to something if I'm in the area, so I'd planned on looking into that a bit once I was done looking around here." By now, the luau was already winding down and wrapping up, the exchange shop already closed down and the performers dispersing and preparing to leave. It was mostly just people selling food that were sticking around, the locals still more than willing to eat well and fill up. Zero didn't pay it much mind, but he could see it well enough in the corners of his eyes. Once he'd explained the orb to Tay, he turned his attention back to Avikna, addressing her again. "Since you seem to have one yourself, I figured you might have a better idea of it than I would, but it won't kill me to look into it myself."

While Zero showed the orb to the ever curious Tay, Avikna's thoughts began to wander. Behind her, Mave came in for a landing. She'd heard in Avikna's mind that she was eager to get moving, but the wolf had lingered behind for a bit before finally joining them. Looking up towards the sky for a brief moment she then pointed upward. "He's up there somewhere." Her gaze shifted around the area some. It was still fairly crowded.
