-]Cerbera and Lua browsed through the first shop for a bit, buying a few small trinkets here and there that caught the older girl's eye. Lua seemed to more just be incredibly curious about stuff than wanting to have any of it. From there they moved onto the next store, and then the next. It was at this third store that an oddly shaped stone really caught Cerbera's attention. She felt like she'd seen something like it before, somewhere, but the girl just couldn't place it. Picking the odd stone up, she brought it to the register, buying it. Lua seemed to be pretty uncomfortable around the stone and was staying far back from it, hugging onto the Espeon. Berrie didn't know why Lua was suddenly being so timid, but she was about to find out. As she was leaving the shop with her purchase, the stone began to vibrate. The suddenness of it startled the poor girl and she fumbled the odd stone, accidentally tossing it away. The stone never hit the ground. Instead, it began to hover in midair and a purple, swirling gas began to pour out of it. The gas began to take on a face and it dawned on Cerbera that it must have been a disguised pokemon. "Aaah!" she gasped, "Loofah...Are you seeing this?" she asked, "Spirit? Lua? Yuki?" She wanted to be sure that she wasn't seeing things. "Get him, Loofah! We just bought that stone, don't let it get away!"[- -]The Frogadier hopped forward, putting itself between Berrie and the gaseous pokemon. She wasn't quite sure how to stop something like this....so Loofah figured strength was probably her best bet. She shot a powerful pulse of water at the ghost, dissipating the gas for a moment and knocking it back. It definitely worked, but it just wasn't strong enough to take it out fast. The Spiritomb struck back, seeming to face out and striking Loofah from the side. Angered, Loofah fired off another power blast of water, sending the ghost pokemon tumbling and skittering across the sidewalk.[- -]Cerbera was waiting for that moment, and she threw a pokeball at the fainted ghost her aim spot on as the ball sucked it in and shook only twice. Before collecting the ball, she knelt down next to her sweet Loofah and tended to the frog's wounds. "I'm sorry you got hurt, Loofah...You did great though," she said, kissing the frog's cheek after giving it a potion.[-

She got back to her feet and fetched the pokeball holding her new ghost pokemon, but the stone was nowhere in sight. Apparently it was part of the pokemon's body and not just a hiding place. She figured that if anyone could tell her more about what had happened, it would be the shop owner who had just sold her the odd stone. Motioning for the others to follow, she went back in, ready to make a bit of a scene to get some answers. The shopkeeper, however, had seen the battle through the window and realized what must have happened. As soon as the girl came in, he motioned her over and started regaling her with the story behind Parfum Palace, nearby. The girl could hardley believe her ears. It sounded incredible, like the sort of adventure she was looking for. Gathering her companions up once more, Cerbera left the show, heading for where the man said the palace could be found.[-

-]It didn't take very long to find the path that Cerbera had been told about by the shop's owner. It was actually a pretty simple route. The only trouble was that the palace was quite a ways away, and walking was rather slow. Berrie would have preferred to skate, but she doubted that her traveling companions could keep up with her on wheels. Not to mention, but it would be rude to be skating about while the others had to walk. After about a half hour's travel the small group could see the palace at last. It was quite large, and yet...incredibly homey. Just looking at the large building made you feel quite comfortable,like you belonged. -]Cerbera and her group of traveling companions began to fade back in, and in the split second before it finished, Cerbera was able to recognize the place as a part of Camphrier Town. Apparently, that trap panel they'd stepped on could only teleport them so far away. Still...that was an impressive range, considering. Unfortunately, the young lady didn't have any time to consider...they had re-materialized ten feet in the air and immediately fell to the ground in a large, painful pile. To make matters worse, the entire group had fallen on a boy that had been passing by. Apparently he hadn't noticed the people and pokemon overhead. There was much groaning and a pile of bodies to dig out of before everyone could get situated.[- -]The impact of the fall and the squish of bodies had finally jarred Lua enough that she lost her illusory human form. As soon as she got her wits back and noticed this, the Zorua squeaked and hurried to put the illusion back up.[- -]Eventually, everyone was able to either get up or be pulled off the pile, a little scraped up but none worse for the wear. They boy, however, just started screaming, yelling at Cerbera for what had just happened. She did her best to just tune the boy out, cos it wasn't like she had any way to control that. It wasn't her fault the stupid boy didn't watch where he was going. The boy then pulled out a pokeball and demanded they fight for honor or something...she wasn't really paying attention. The word battle caught her ear, though, so Berrie turned and agreed. The young man's first pokemon was a Sawk, as in, one of those gang members she and Spirit had so thoroughly trounced. Having Spirit fight this guy would just be mean though, so with a smirk, she sent Crash in to get him.[- -]The enemy's Sawk seemed to take a bit of a defensive posture, as though it was bracing itself or readying to counter something. At Cerbera's direction, though, Crash went for the "Unrelenting Force" plan and slid in close to the Sawk. He unleashed all of his power in a Force Palm to the fighting pokemon's chest, making it reel a bit. The blow made Sawk's body start to glow, but it didn't matter. The first part of the battle was clearly over. Another impressive Force Palm flew, connecting with Sawk's head this time and dropping him.[-

Still the young man seemed a little bit flustered and rather than going for a type advantace, he sent out a Klink to face Crash. Cerbera had to do a bit of a double take when she saw it. The pokemon was so odd looking and yet...it was really quite adorable. She would have to find one of those for herself soon. Nevertheless, they were here to battle, and she had the advantage. She recalled Crash to his pokeball finally and decided to greet this challenge with her strongest offence. "Yuki take this floaty pig thing down! Blizzard!" She cried out.[- -]The Haunter floated out between the trainered and began to shiver. All of a sudden, another wintry storm began to blow through, frosting over the Munna and everything around as well.[- -]It was fortunate that Berrie had used blizzard to finish off her opponent, as the sudden frosting seemed to have cooled out his temper. The boy opened his bag and pulled out a three pack of lemonades, offering them to Cerbera along with his apologies for overreacting. The girl was surprised by the offering and took it, grinning from ear to ear. When she looked up again, the boy was gone, so she gathered up her pokemon and headed on down the road.[-

Reaching Camphrier, Cheria semi-rushed to the Pokemon Center. Inside the hospital building, she went up to the counter and handed Sheena's and Isica's balls over. "Just these two." Cheria waited patiently at the counter as Joy treated the two Pokemon with the healing station. Once they were returned to her, Cheria gave a thank you and left the center. Now that those two were treated, she could hurry for Lumiose. She wondered briefly if Skye or Marx were going to be there. Or, Vince. Someone she knew aside from her dad.

Making her way to Lumiose through Versant Road, Cheria got out her holo castor when she received a return text from Skye. Reading it, Cheria's cheeks flushed red. Skye just loved to tease, didn't he?

The route led towards the next town, leaving them some time to relax. The group was quiet, though, with Lucy still examining her pendant, clinging to Z with her feet, and Mel taking a moment to close her eyes while they walked, and think. Brian was the only one who seemed to be taking in the scenery, though he glanced at Mel as they walked, then glanced around again. ".... Think you should let your pokemon train while we walk?" he suggested, glancing ahead. The town wasn't that far away, but... Mel opened her eyes to raise an eyebrow at him. "Wot, really?" she muttered, straightening, "Lucy's already pretty strong..." Brian shrugged, gesturing. "I meant your other pokemon. But, we're getting close. Might as well wait till we're on the other side of Camphrier, anyway. Maybe until we get in the cave...." he mused.

"I wonder if we ought to do more training in there..." Mel mused, looking at the cave opening as they approached. Brian quirked an eyebrow and gave her a look. "Weren't you just fretting over going in there to begin with? I mean just, as in, seconds ago?" he pointed out with clear amusement. She smiled and rolled her eyes to look at him, giving him a look as she did. "Well yes, but, I mean, if we have to go in there anyway...." Brian scoffed and rolled his eyes, shaking his head. While Alphonse tried to get Bastien situated for whatever role he would come to play as the new addition, Ashley was focused on other things. Like moving to the next gym location. He wasn’t enthralled with the idea of doing gyms; in fact, it seemed like a very lack luster action for ‘pokemon trainers’ of lesser skill sets. Really the Frenchman’s focus should’ve been on locating the stray Interpol agent so that he could perform his assigned duty. Considering the fact, he recalled that he still needed to check his equipment. They’d moved out from the southern part of Lumiose and onto the path leading to the small town of Camphrier. The town was small; the only thing of value was the Shabboneau Castle and the hotel. Given the time -it was slowly drifting into the early portions of evening now- the former would most likely be closed and the later filled with passersby looking to rest up for the evening. Perfect. As he continued his suspicions were confirmed by the lack of individuals roaming around. It wasn’t long before he found himself an unoccupied bench and with a quick glance around to assure no one was around, he set the case in his hand down. With fluid motions he snapped the latches off their hinges, flipping them up and promptly pushing the lid of the case up to expose its contents.
Ashley couldn’t help the slight smirk that sparked across his face at the sight. Ah yes, Dandy always knew which tools he’d prefer for a given job and her selection for him was top-notch in his opinion. With tender care he picked up the small gun that was the Colt Defender, carefully rotating it about as he inspected it. This wasn’t the time nor place to dismantle it for a full check, but he had faith in the condition of its inner workings, instead focusing on the outside. It looked to be in pristine condition as expected and after a check of the chamber and the safety, he tucked it away in the holster hidden at the small of his back, adjusting his vest to properly conceal the weapon. The his focus shifted to the other hand gun, repeating his previous actions with it as well, checking for potential damages or defects, checking if it was loaded and that the safety was properly in place before adding it to the vacant spot of his shoulder holster at his right side, assuring it was snugly in place. Now he felt properly complete.
He glanced down at the thin lining for padding that separated the two weapons from the other underneath. Ashley needed to check that too, but this wasn’t quite the place for such the thorough inspection that particular piece. That would have to wait for a more secluded location. Satisfied, he snapped the case shut once more, picking up and resuming his movement. That was one task down, a few more to go.
