hi im new to the guild and was invited by zphal_girl87. im not sure what this guld is all about yet but I would like to say thanks for the invite
can anyone pm me with some ways to tell if you're being jipped at the marketplace when the item isn't sold in stores? and thanks again for the invite

If you're buying higher than the lowest buy price on collectables and event items, you're getting ripped off in the MP.

If there is no store value then there are only a few options to determine "value". Look at the average Lowest Buy Price, check this over a few days if it is not a new item. If it is a new item the price will fluctuate too much to tell. You can check some of the Gaian item/market lists out there. Just search around and you can find them. These essentially do for you what I previously mentioned. Only a lot of times these do not update often. Finally and most effective in determining value, how much do you think it's worth. This is the most reliable since you know what you want and to what limits you can go wink If you think it is too much then follow the market trends and wait check for a decline/surplus, make some more gold and then buy it, or choose a similar alternate item that is cheaper.

Yes, and never buy an item that is higher than what they sell it for in the store. I've seen bids for an item that are higher than the store price eek
