Gustav Holst is awesome.

Oooh, there was this Holst one I studied at school that I absolutely loved...I remember that it used Greensleeves as part of a polyphonic set of melodies in one part. It was lovely.
My favourite composers? Bach (J.S., not C.P.E.), Chopin (Y HALO THAR, nocturnes!), Vivaldi, Brahms, Debussy, Grieg and maybe one or two others. My favourite era is Romantic, with Baroque coming a close second. True Classical usually bores me, though there's a movement in a Mozart piano concerto in A major that I love. Oh, and back onto Romantic composers, I love Berlioz (especially his
Symphonie Fantastique).
