Appearently, Microsoft will donate to the cause of your choice whenever you start a conversation. This is what it said:

I wonder how much they will donate.

If you have the IM symbol in your username it will donate according to the code you placed for the IM symbol. For example, the code I used to create the IM symbol is donating to help discover the cure for AIDS. There are other ones for projects in regards to breast cancer, humane society, etc. On the left side of you IM friends list there are tabs. Look for the one that says IM and it'll give you the list smile
