Welcome to Reality and the three R's! I love this place!
Anywho, what do you want to play?
Dibs on Prophetess! (she won't appear much)
and you have any additional ideas that might help?
(origional layout and idea re-post)
what if we start one off with the setting of the ancient world? There's magic, both weak and strong and the 'heads' of everything are a prophetess and a overlord of sorts. Both people are under binding magical oaths to only work for the good of the people so it's no problem that the overlords have come from one family for many, many generations.
However, the current overlord is very old and his son, a young child has been stolen by... someone in the middle of the night.
No one knows what happened to the kid but the prophetess predicts 'great harm' will come to the kingdom if the child isn't found by the time the current overlord passes on.
I was thinking a forest setting would work. Iron age technology with middle age buildings (castles) slavery, though frowned on, is legal and of course magic has a dark and a light side.
A few classes, Light Mage (healing and defense) Green Mage (special affinity with nature) Blue Mage (water) Brown Mage (Earth) Orange Mage (fire) White Mage (Air) Dark Mage (Harm and attack, duh.)
All the mages can use things they don't have a special affinity for just not the polar opposite. Like a light mage can't use attack powers, a green mage can't use Dark or fire magic, a water mage.. no fire earth mage.. no air. You get it.
Like the idea?

It doesn't matter much what I role I play.
Just a boy and a girl. XD;
And more if need be.
I'm assuming our characters are going to go on a hunt for the overlord's son, right?
Amarie (my character) She could've been a good friend of his, or maybe a family member? (I'm not sure what age you ment as young. I'm assuming 10.) XD Amarie has alot of friends are alot younger then her, somewhat do to her maturity level. She finds being a kid is funner then a teenager, she's 14. ninja
That way atleast one of my characters would have somewhat of a reason to go off looking for him.
Red, I'm not sure about. A knight of the Overlord's maybe?

Overlord (sorry it's so small)  Frail but wise and happy he is a kind and gentle ruler. Prophetess  She is incredibly wise and strong but also rather firm. The overlord keeps her from being too harsh with the main populace. Aiden  Age: 16 He is a Fire Mage and is after the reward for finding the young prince. He's a nice guy but a little greedy. Sakera  Age: 15 She is an Earth Mage and is going along because she is one of the prophetess followers. If she predicts disaster if the young man isn't found as soon, she will believe it and try to find him. Prince Cade  ((I'll post more pictures later))

Let's see...
Amarie -
She's strange to say the least. She points out unnecssisary things at wrong times. She likes to play jokes on people to get a laugh. Hmm...She occasional steals from people, usually those she doesn't like. She ends up giving it back though, unless it's edible. She loves food and candy, which she doesn't need becasue she's on a suger high 24/7. She's independant, rarely trusting anyone to do important jobs and actually forfilling it, she's been scammed into doing things herself more then once, so she's abit hesitant. Defineatly not the girly-girl, but not really a typical tomboy, she's in between. She's usually care-free, unless it's a VERY serious situation.
Red-
He's a shy knight but will stand for his overlord no matter what.
He's rather jumpy around people, and not very talkative, unless he's embaressed, which then he talks alittle TOO much. He's comedic even though he tries not too, and many of the other knights consider him as a weakling. He's not the strongest, but the bravest and definately one with the best personality. He does not think he is higher or better then anyone else, and treats all fairly. Sometimes people make fun of him calling him, effeminate. It truely angers him. (Though it just may be true...) He can use a vareity of white magic, aswell.
(I'll add on if more characters come up!)

Aiden stood beside the tavern wall examining the newest of the WANTED posters. He was a bounty hunter by trade and couldn't help but let his eyes light up in greed as he read what was less of a WANTED poster and more of a REWARD post.
The young prince had been kidnapped. This was perfect! Not only could he get loads of reward money off the overlord but he would have the next overlord in the palm of his hand!
He could see it now, Nobleman Aiden Katara. He would have a name, servants, wealth... all he had to do was rescue the prince!
"Easy!" He grinned to himself as he flipped a coin to the barman and exited the tavern.

The prophetess looked down at her young followers.
"My children, we must do everything possible to get young prince Cade back. I have forseen great disaster for the kingdom if this is not done."
Sakera bowed low.
"Fear not my lady, the best of the kingdom's warriors are all looking for him. I too will be leaving on this quest. Please pray for my safety."
She gently kissed her lady's hand.
"I will return young prince Cade to this castle or I will die trying. This I vow."

Amarie was already gathering a rather large bag in her room. She would find the prince, one of her closest friends. It was the right thing to do and he would do the same for her, she thought as she pushed random peices of clothing into her bag. Her head was spinning with thoughts of the prince. Who wouldn't be thinking about him? It was getting around he was kidnapped. She was a bit paranoid when it came to things like this, she desperately hoped he was okay. When she finished her bag, she picked up her campanion, Lune. He was a little black kitten, but his tail looked as if it was dipped in a white painbucket. He had a bell tied around his neck, so everytime he took a step the bell would jingle.
Amarie bid her parents a short sweet goodbye, and stepped out onto the sidewalk. She let Lune down, who mewed happily. It was a rather cloudy day, but people were still bustling about, the majority of them conversing about the sudden kidnapping of the prince.
It was a very big city, mostly becasue the castle and overlord were located here. There were lots of Markets, shops, eye-widening buildings and whatever else a city possesses. They were littered all over, and it did indeed live up to it's royal status as a city.
"I hope it doesn't rain..."
Though the girl usually liked rain, today, while she would start her search for Cade, it would not be very lucky. Plus, she'd have to walk in it, or the search would be postponed...
So off she went, walking quickly to the castle, with a small kitten following behind her as she walked.

Red sat in his quaters nervously. The overlord told him to wait, and relax until the others came. He'd be traveling with other people? He sighed lightly. He was not one with words. He stood, looking out of his window, with a frown plastered on his face. Hopefully, these others wouldn't ridicule him like the other knights. He was a knight himself, but in a special way. He was very close to the overlord and prince, less like the other knights. They called him a suck-up and whatever other ugly names you could think of. The boy pushed back his brown hair, and rested his forehead against the glass. He prayed the people he traveled with were atleast somewhat decent.
The boy looked back at his bed. His leather bag and sword were lying there as well as a dagger. He truely hated usuing them, and prefered his magic. His white magic. He also got made fun of for that. What knight had the power of healing? Only a sissy knight. He sighed thinking of the others, though he knew it did not matter what they thought of him. His mission as of late was to return with the prince safely.
