for those questing for inner knowledge, or willing to share their lore.
............................
We count only blue cars Skip the cracks, in the street And ask many questions Like children often do We said, Tell me all your thoughts on God? 'Cause I would really like to meet her. And ask her why we're who we are. Tell me all your thoughts on God, Cause I am on my way to see her. So tell me am I very far - Am I very far now?
- Dishwalla
.....................................
i have spoke with the tongue of angels I have held the hand of a devil It was warm in the night I was cold as a stone
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
I believe in the kingdom come Then all the colors will bleed into one Bleed into one Well, yes I'm still running
You broke the bonds And you loosed the chains Carried the cross Of my shame Of my shame You know I believed it
But I still haven't found what I'm looking for But I still haven't found what I'm looking for But I still haven't found what I'm looking for
- U2 ............................
If God had a name what would it be? And would you call it to his face? If you were faced with him In all his glory What would you ask if you had just one question?
*And yeah, yeah, God is great Yeah, yeah, God is good Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
What if God was one of us? Just a slob like one of us Just a stranger on the bus Trying to make his way home
- Joan Osborne

That U2 song is awesome. It says alot when a secular singer is singing those lyrics because he believes them.

in my personal opinion
not binding on anyone of course
there is a real turning toward these questions of depth and substance, where do i come from, where am i going...
but the problem is that the usual avenues for answering these questions, churches (me), synagogues, mosques, whatever, have sold out to the rich and powerful and are unable to reply, other than to tell us to be patient and keep making moiney for them.

keth Sanders ... some how I don't agree with you stare good! let's talk, then. i want you to understand, i am active in a congregation myself. i just see them as human institutions with faults and failings, not something i can't question coz they're supposedly divinely ordained.

The chariots have come, The chariots have come, They have ascended Moses on to heaven.
The chariots have come, The chariots have come, Hath they ascended you on to heaven?
The chariots have come, The chariots have come, When will they come take me too?
The hole of hell, The hole of hell, Were Lucifer descended,
The hole of hell, The hole of hell, Have you fallen as well?
The hole of hell, The hole of hell, I'd much rather take the chariots.
By me

Hell or Heaven? I choose heaven.
Hell or Heaven? What now have you chosen?
Hell or Heaven? Jesus on to heaven.
Hell or Heaven? Lucifer condemned to hell.
Hell or Heaven? I choose heaven.
By me

chessiejo in my personal opinion not binding on anyone of course there is a real turning toward these questions of depth and substance, where do i come from, where am i going... but the problem is that the usual avenues for answering these questions, churches (me), synagogues, mosques, whatever, have sold out to the rich and powerful and are unable to reply, other than to tell us to be patient and keep making money for them. I halfway disagree with you....There are churches who have sold out and have turned to solely to pleasing everybody. But there are some who haven't. For example, at my church, the head Pastor will say things that will make you think and that will give you a spiritual 'shake up', if you will. He won't pull punches. But then our Youth Pastor is a people pleaser, he will say something deep and then immediately say something to make people laugh. And I just realized that I might have gone a bit off course with all that....lol, I'm a rambler. xp Back to your subject, I think that sometimes the searchers are looking in all the wrong places. And when they find the right place to look, they just don't listen.

Jesus said that we would get persecuted for standing and speaking the truth. Heck! He was!! We do get punished for speaking the truth, the is just the way that it is. It doesn't seem right, but that is life. I understand what you are saying....but there is no real way around that except to keep standing up and telling the striaght out truth in a loving way. Keep on doing it and one day someone will listen. ~Z~
