I am a huge huge fan of Nobuo Uetmatsu's work. If you're wondering who he is, he's written the music for most of the Final Fantasy series. I was very very upset when I found out that he didn't write most of the music for Final Fantasy XII. But silly me downloaded the soundtrack anyway, and I am liking it very much.
Anybody else out there fans of Nobuo Uetmatsu?

Yes, I adore his music.
I have the FF VII soundtrack [I bought it for a friend as his birthday present & he let me burn it on my computer], and various songs from VI, VIII, and IX.
I'm not very far in FF XII, but so far the music is nice, even though like you said, most of it isn't by him.
It's loads better than the stuff in FF X-2, where most of the songs felt like a 2 second clip on endless repeat. gonk

Nobuo Uematsu didn't compose the music for Chrono Trigger.
Yasunori Mitsuda did.
But anyway, I love Nobuo Uematsu.
He is a genius.

I LOVE HIM!!! He is my fav composer, because he's the best. The FF music he makes is absolutely amazing.
My sister told me that he was quitting, and I was really sad. But when I got FF12, and heard the music was by Nobuo, I was like "He couldn't of quit" And I was happy again =3

Nobuo Uematsu was a great composer for the final fantasy series as he always created the perfect music for it and saddly he is not making any music anymore crying .
