As for the backmasking, that's completely coincidence. The band and the record label denied all the claims that it was intentional. Freddie, who wrote the song, actually didn't smoke marijuana, because he thought it would be bad for his vocal chords. The only real run-in with it was an incident in the early seventies, when the drummer, Roger Taylor, hid some weed in Freddie's jasmine tea. Freddie was pretty upset, but, being a bit of a trickster, found a perfect use for the ruined tea. One night, the band was having a party, and the police came to the house because the neighbors complained about the noise, and Freddie, being a gentleman, invited them in, apologized graciously, and sent them away with a cup of tea...
It's ok to dislike the song, just don't do it for a reason that doesn't really exist.
Yeah. Queen is my favourite band, and i like to think that i know quite a bit about them. If you like them, a great album to listen to is "A Night At The Opera," the album Bohemian Rhapsody is on.
i've always wondered, though, about "Killer Queen"- what's the gelatine for? Is it an explosive, like dynamite?
