How far the Brujah have fallen! How shiftless and impotent they are!

Such are the common impressions held by members of other clans, from the elders who remember previous Brujah dispositions to the neonates who stumble into anarchic Brujah domains. As with any such simple generalizations, thought, these are not altogether true. In fact, more than anything else, the history of the Brujah has marked them as agents of change, perhapse more so than any other Kindred.

While Ventrue and Lasombra tighten their talons around their ever-dwindling holdings in the modern nights, as the Toreador squander unlife with debauches and reminiscent of the aristocracies of old, as the Nosferauto scuttle through their timeless subterranean warrens, the Brujah evolve.

From proud philosophers of ancient times, to the prophets and revolutionaries of the Final Nights, the Brujah have always embodied a current zeitgeist. If the Brujah are raging fiends, it is because that is what the world now demands of them.

Nickname:Rabble

Sect: Although the Brujah do not consider the Camarilla it’s enemy, most consider it the most convenient of two evils, and anyone who makes themselves a part of that body is obviously buying into the propaganda. Others see the Camarilla as a way to get what they want. Others yet feel elders have it easy sitting at the top with the comforts of wealth and power and seek to attain such a position. Both the later are in for a surprise. The Camarilla knows at it’s hear it is nothing more then a group of monsters at who’s best interest is to pretend there not. Almost all the elders planning is to keep the spot they earned. The simple reason the Brujah are part of the Camarilla is to have a purpose. To have an authority against which to scheme, the Brujah with out it are just agitated, meaningless vampires.

Appearance: The Rabble follow cutting-edge trends and remain just ahead of the curve, after all once every one is wearing the same clothes and listening to the same music it’s no longer trend setting it’s simply following. Though most Rabble break this concept and settle in happily with Goths, Bikers, and other cultures never openly welcomed in society and often seen as being against the established system. If the system doesn’t like it, the Brujah become it.

Haven: The Brujah haven is currently located through out Faetasiea, due to differing views from each member some Brujah branch off in to small Havens. Though the most commonly known one is located in a smaller guest house on the Camarilla mansions grounds

Backround: The story of the Brujah reads like a shadow account of the Fae history. For as long as Fae have walked the mortal plains and as long as the Kindred have stalked among them, the Brujah have agitated, argued for change, effected it, or been left to lick their wounds in the aftermath of their failed revolutions.

What do the Kindred truly know of the Brujah, thought? What do the Rabble know about themselves? History blends seamlessly into legend when the Brujah are involved.

Organization: A word that doesn’t fit well with Brujah, when a vampire is embraced they are forever locked in time, the culture and belifes of the time when the Kindred was born tend to stay locked in their mind forever. As such the views of an Elder embraced in one generation’s views may clash with younger fledgling views of the younger generation. Brujah is a clan of individuals they are only bound by the traditions they choose to keep.

Brujah opinions on the others clans

Assamite: The long and short of it is this: The Assamites are old, and one’s always involved if you trace the roots back far enough. Respect them, even if their new direction scares you. They’re doing it for a reason.

Gangrel: Have you ever seen a Gangrel fight? We may be able to hit people fast and hard, but when a Gangrel gets pissed at you, you’re lucky to be anything more then a bloody streak. The thing is, Gangrel generally want to be left alone. What ever the case, they don’t seem to put much stock in the concept of the clans and as long as you don’t bother them too much, they just don’t care what your politics are.

Giovanni: Giovanni are little more than a Ventrue offshoot with a predilection for necrophilia. The Giovanni operate outside the traditional power structure, they’re not part of the Camarilla and don’t have to answer to it. Now, the Brujah aren’t necessarily predisposed toward the Giovanni, but they’re a damn slight less hostile to them than to the average Venture.

Lasombra: The leaders of the Sabbat, most Brujah who have spent more then a few nights among the undead grow to hate the Sabbat. Even if we’re not particularly happy with the stagnant Camarilla, few of us are exceptionally interested in taking some Satanic joyride into the mouth of Hell and calling it ‘Freedom’ put two and two together and you come to the conclusion that Brujah has no particular love for Lasombra.

Malkavians: Here’s a clan that generally splits you down the middle. Like the Brujah Malkavians do what they want. Unlike the Brujah, most Malkavians are worthless. They make a big show about, oh, the wretched affliction that maddens them and lo, can’t we see the gilded reaper poised insider our dreams to crack the foundation of the race of Caine!

Some of them have much-vaunted “Insight” that they purport makes it worthwhile to weather their presence, but I’ll be damned if half of it isn’t an act.

Nosferatu: You have to have some degree of pity for these monsters because of what the Embrace does to them. Careful, because of their wretched physical state many turn in to utter assholes who believe they have the right to be obnoxious. The Nosferatu know everything, nothing surprising there. The secret to dealing with Nosferatu and coming out on top: Let them know that without someone to make their precious little secrets valuable, they could have the combination to every safe at Fort Knox and it wouldn’t matter.

Ravanos: Their not really as bad as the Powers That Be would have you believe. But believe me, you won’t get any more out of them then they want to give. I’ll grant that they’re clever. When you work with them you’re dealing with the devil.

Setites: Just like the Assamites, trace any kindred treachery back far enough and there’s a Setite in there somewhere. The Setites have something you want at first, but the price always proves exacting. Just remember: Accept them as a necessary evil, shut them down when you can, and otherwise stay the ******** away from them.

Toreador: Classic chicken-or-the-egg scenario, have the Brujah always hated the Toreador? Or is it the other way around? While a Brujah has the edge over a Toreador in strength and able to stomp a Toreador down once, but you can bet that same Toreador has some connection in the Kindred network and will end up calling a blood hunt on the Brujah. Best way to deal with them is flatter them to the point of stupefied mollification, or a Trojan Horse for an ‘alliance’ if you can’t ignore them all together.

Tremere: They come in two flavors: very breakable and ungodly powerful. Careful when you break a fragile one, because he might be one of the powerful one’s bitches. Forever on some secret mission to find the skulls of their elders and grind them into aphrodisiac powder or something, they get all uppity when you interrupt them.

Whatever, Gandalf…

Tzimisce: I don’t know much about these freaks, but I have a theory. Whoever made Tremere made Tzimisce first as a trial run and Jesus did they ******** up.

Venture: Sorry to say but I won’t be jumping around screaming down with the Prince about these guys. No, by all accounts, the Ventrue are utterly placid. They’re decent enough leaders of the Camarilla, in that they’re no more corrupt than your average middle manager.

The Camarilla: No better, no worse then it ever pretended to be. The benefit of the Camarilla over the Sabbat is that the former knows that it must change to remain viable. That and you don’t have to drink the blood of every Kindred who looking your direction or sell your soul to the devil.

The Sabbat: A group of maniacs that earns my vote for the worst idea ever. In a nutshell, Sabbat philosophy is built around an unceasing holy war against creatures that don’t exist, which somehow asserts their superiority over mortals.

Brujah Specialties
Tricks of the trade that only a Brujah may know, only to be used if said ability is assigned to your vampire.

Burning Wrath
This power’s origin is lost to the Brujah, though many of its more combative members have learned the secret. Indeed, its use is very widespread, particularly among the less genteel ranks of the clan. When the Brujah activates this power she becomes capable of striking an enemy with devastating power many times in succession – each punch or kick actually impacting the foe multiple times. The name also comes from the side effect of blood-heat emanating from her body or in a red mist that envelops her.

Iron Heart
Some Brujah can steel themselves against even the most forceful extensions of other Kindred’s will. By calling upon their physical strength and what some vampires suspect is sheer will, the Brujah can shrug off the effects of mental suggestions and supernatural forces of personality. Some young Kindred tell tales of bold Brujah even ignoring the attempts of princes to Dominate them – likely a use of this power.

Pulse of Undeath
By focusing her heightened awareness and physical prowess, a Kindred can “feel” for which of the physical gifts of Caine another Kindred may have learned. Potence manifests as a vibration of the muscles, Fortitude generates a cold rigidity in the boy and Celerity causes a brief feeling of vertigo.

Potence
A brief way to summarize this ability in whole is to simply say that it gives even vampires what would be considered super strength. Depending on the rank of a vampire the level of Potence becomes more and more powerfull. Elders can use up at most the 6th level of it.

LEVEL 1
Prowess

You have unearthed a level of strength unusual even in Vampires. Where others would flag and fail, you redouble your efforts. Your mighty blows land with a force that kills even the hardiest of mortals.

LEVEL 2
Might

Your strength daunts even other Cainites. Few would dare to cross you in a test of physical power. You are far more likely than the average Vampire to succeed in challenges of strength. Your power is so startling that even an opponent who attempts to outlast you with stamina or to dodge you with quickness can be overcome, as long as you rely solely on your strength.

LEVEL 3
Vigor

Your Vampiric strength is truly monumental. You can heft hundreds of pounds with ease, deliver enough force to crush bones in a single blow and hammer down any opponent of lesser strength

LEVEL 4
Intensity

Your titanic strength never fails you. Unless sorely pressed or wounded, you can continue incredible feats indefinitely.

LEVEL 5
Puissance

No mortal can match you, and even Vampires tremble at your touch. The strength of your dead limbs is truly monumental, crushing anything that stands before you. However, use of this incredible strength almost certainly breaks weapons that are not specially designed to stand it.

LEVEL 6
Imprint

Some subtle applications of Potence exist; Imprint isn't one of them. While anyone with Potence can exert tremendous pressure on object, a vampire with Imprint can literally crush steel with her bare hands. Imprint makes for excellent intimidation. Alternatively, it can be used to create handholds when climbing, and it goes without saying that if applied to someone's throat, the results are extremely nasty.

Note: After level 6 the odds of a vampire knowing the ability is likely highly rare unless they are a Meth or Ante who has perfected the art of Potence.

LEVEL 7
Earthshock

Earthshock proves that there is more to Potence than just hitting something until it stops moving. With Earthshock, you may redirect your strength- you strike (or stomp, depending on personal preference) the ground, and the force of the blow explodes up from the ground some distance away, directly below your opponent. The power may be used indoors, but the results are far more spectacular- not only will there be a gaping hole on the floor, but the resulting shower of floor materials will break nearby windows and cause other damage to the surroundings. (Works only in a 60 ft range)

LEVEL 8
Flick

Subtle in use if not in effect, Flick is a frightening power. With Flick you can use the slightest of gestures to deliver truly devastating attacks. You know how to apply your full strength in the tiniest movements. You can simply snap your fingers and watch your opponent smash through the window or shrug calmly and break the bones of the unsuspecting vampire standing behind you

Level 9
Destruction:

This is where pure, raw strength begins. A vampire who has reached this level of mastery can literally destroy an entire building with her strength alone; nothing can stand in her way. Should you strike a mortal or a ghoul, they will die immediately if the strike connects- no human (or even relatively human) body can withstand such punishment. You may, of course, attempt to pull the punch.

Note: Potence is not a Brujah specific skill, many clans are capable of useing it, how ever Brujah tend to specilize in it most due to a natural knack for feats of amazeing strength.

The mansion was old and decrepit, abandoned and awaiting the mistress return. She hadn't been there in quite a while and it was most likely that the others had long since abandoned the Haven for another one else were, but that would change. They would gather again under her guidance and crush any one who stands in their way.

A swift kick blasted open chained doors and sent dust and filth swirling as the Elder made her way inside. Everything was just as she recalled, chaos, that was fitting to her so long as her few records were kept in order.

"Let it be know Brujah will rise again..." she hissed, as she stormed up the stairs to the attic. Atop the roof she raised the flag with a grin, the symbol of the Brujah waved and she let out a cry of delight and rage, let them come and see her there.

Erika Sultana would have her clan, Faereth, and see to it the Sabbat rotted in hell.

Sighing as she stepped into the mansion, Nericca looked around in awe. She really wondered why she had never been here before. It was gorgeous. This was the Haven. The vampire slowly opened the door and peeked in cautiously. Who knew what could be lurking around here, not that she was scared or anything. Nothing could scare the already dead.

She heard a voice outside, and she hurried back out to the front of the house. Gazing up at the roof, Nericca saw the familiar black and white vampire that she met so long ago. "And we will rise with a swift vengeance and take everybody to the deepest depths of hell." She cried in reply to Erika, the elder of the Brujah clan.

Erika looked up from her perch and glanced about spotting a familiar face, "My my my... if it isn't my old prodigy Nericca!" She made her way along the rooftop reaching the edge before dropping down to stroll over to the younger Brujah.

"It's been quite a while hasn't it? Tell me..." she reached out grabbing Nericca by the wrist pulling her close raising her other fist to settle beside Nericca's cheek, "Why shouldn't I pummel you now for disappearing so long dear?" In reality she didn't want to hurt her to bad, after all she was the first prodigy of the clan, but she still would need to answer for her absence.

"Too long." Nericca didn't flinch as the elder grabbed her. Staring at her with golden eyes, she didn't know what to say. But she knew she wouldn't lie. That would be plain out stupid. "Forgive me, I can't account for my absence. I wasn't aware of this mansion until I heard about it in a conversation at a bar the other night."

It really was her fault for disappearing though. She didn't know where this mansion was; of course she had to get that faekat to say something, but she always used her uncanny strength to her advantage.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 04, 2007 9:05 pm

Erika stared long and hard in Nericca's golden eyes frowning slightly as she seemed to take a moment to explain, the excuess was valid, but still it upset Erika slightly that Nericca had never seeked her alone out some how.

Slowly Erika released her grip nodding quietly, "Acceptable I suppose... you would do well to know your not the only member of the clan now. Have you met one of the Amazonian Faekats? I had the luck of meeting a rather fierce one whom has been added to the clans ranks." She tapped her chin and smirked, "She might even be as powerful as you now..."

Nericca knew her excuse wasn't quite acceptable, so she knew she would have to prove herself loyal once again. That was fine, all she had to do was be herself and kick a**. "Amazonian? No, I am not aware of this."

Pausing, the female smirked slightly. "Oh, well, you can't quite be sure of that until we meet. And don't you worry, I know what I'm doing." Even though she had been dormant with vampire politics for awhile, Nericca had been training and honing her fighting skills. She was stronger then ever.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 04, 2007 9:17 pm

Erika nodded, "Yes Amazonian race, very much like the lizard kind, or perhaps an off shot of a dragon creature, powerful none the less. Perfect for our talents and beliefs."

"Know what your doing hmm?" Erika paced around Nericca eying her over trying to determine just how much she had been up too, "So what exactly have you done in the absence then that justify 'knowing what your doing' hmm?"

"I see. Well, I should go investigate, maybe see who my competition is." Nericca pondered on where she could find one of these Amazon faekats. Regardless of her age, her curiosity matched that of a child's.

"I would never allow myself to get rusty. I've been training deep in the forest when I wasn't eavesdropping on other conversations. I wouldn't be of any service to you if I got weak because of my absence."
PostPosted: Sun Jul 08, 2007 9:14 am

Erika laughed a bit, Nericca of all the Brujah was probably the most amusing to her. Partially the mind of a child, immortal forever, yet very powerful vampire to have amongst her clan. "I've only seen one, I assume they keep hidden for the most part much like we do. I wouldn't put it past you to find one someday."

"If your not rusty then I will gladly test that theory, I will seek out Desmona again and see how she's handling her new undead life, it's time she learns the power of Brujah more acutely and time we see just what you can do your self."

Xavier strode into the old mansion, and proceeded to find a wall which he leaned against. He would wait until the boss lady had time to talk to him. After the thrashing she gave him last time, he was in no rush to get a punch to the jaw.
