Nintendo's, of course. It's short, simple, not an acronym, sounds like "we" as in "everybody" (demonstating Nintendo's family-friendly stance), can be used to make potty jokes (which people love to do), and had so much press coverage that lots of people know the name.

Not really. Everybody's "weird" examples really are weird because they're saying it in ways people wouldn't (save for the fact that people will be purposely saying them to, again, make potty jokes for a laugh.) Take for example:
"I'm going to go home and play with my Wii."
Okay, who says that? Replace "Wii" with another console and does it sound like something people just say? (For that matter, when you say you're going to "play with" your X-Box doesn't it already sort of sound like you're going to fondle it in a naughty way in the first place?) Or are they really going to say:
"I'm going to go home and play games."
"I'm going to go home and play on the X-Box."
"I'm going to go home and play Halo."
Or even more likely:
"I'm going to go home."
Yeah, if somebody says they're going home to "play with their Wii" they're definitely trying to make a pun. (Which is good... I like puns... but it was still done intentionally.)
Finally, if people don't want to make the pun, gamers will probably say:
"I'm going to go home and play on my Revolution."
...while other people will say
"I'm going to go home and play on the Nintendo."
