Hello, everyone. In this Filler, I plan to give the Madeline Classroom Companion from Creative Wonders the Scoring Measurement Treatment as the Scoring System differs from Game to Game.
The Madeline Classroom Companion Series (All 8 Discs) are one of the last games to come from Electronic Arts Kids under the Creative Wonders Game before being purchased by The Learning Company.

But first, a little history on Madeline for those who are new to the series. The Series began as a Children's Book Series by Ludwig Bemelmans. Then became a cartoon series containing Pilot Episode TV Specials from 1988-1991 (The Pilot Episodes that when I saw growing up was Madeline & the Bad Hat, and Madeline's Rescue) what eventually became a TV Series that aired on Freeform (Formerly The Family Channel), ABC & Disney from 1993 to 2001.

As for a quick premise, its pretty much summarized at the start of each and every book and every cartoon:
"In an old house covered in Paris that is with vines, lived little 12 girls in 2 straight lines. They left the house at half past 9 in two straight lines in rain or shine but the smallest one of all was Madeline..."

Followed by a theme song in the Pilot Episodes & TV Series, it follows Madeline's big adventures with her vivid little imagination & heart guiding her. For over 20 years, she's seen s number of TV Specials, Cartoon Series Seasons and Movies featuring her.

Then combine them for a real result

This way, you can understand what the optimization scores mean for the actual games when you play them and how you can set the levels.
For the scoring, I'll either mention the Maximum/Minimum scores, as I have to play each of the games to find out.

*Madeline Classroom Companion Scoring*
= Madeline Classroom Companion Preschool
= Madeline Classroom Companion Kindergarten
= Madeline Classroom Companion 1st Grade
= Madeline Classroom Companion 1st Grade Reading
= Madeline Classroom Companion 1st Grade Math
= Madeline Classroom Companion 2nd Grade
= Madeline Classroom Companion 2nd Grade Reading
= Madeline Classroom Companion 2n Grade Math

However, during this time, Madeline did receive two Inventory Adventure Games: Magnificent Puppet Show & European Adventures.

Madeline Classroom Companion Disc 1: Preschool
User Image

Starting with Madeline Preschool in 1997, one of the 4 Remaining Electronic Arts Kids Games under the Creative Wonders Name as a 2 Disc Set under the Madeline Classroom Companion Series before The Learning Company Took Over.

Disc 1 being Preschool was released around the cartoon series' Reruns of the First & Second Seasons and 3 years before the Third Season. It used a Scoring System that's mentioned when a player starts a new game which applies to each of the 8 games.
A Medal System that differs from Game to Game.

For Discs 1-4, the player earns medals for each of the activities they play as each activity has 3 Levels, allowing the player full reign on which level they play:
Level 1 gives a Bronze Metal
Level 2 gives a Silver Medal
and Level 3 gives a Gold Medal
from Easy to Hard.

A Player on Disc 1 would need to play one activity 5 times to earn a medal that can be printed out or in this case with a Virtual Machine, taken a screen shot of their completion.

= Here are the Scores of the Activities in Disc 1 that I was able to Calculate
Art Gallery = 15 Points
Bakery = 15 Points
Playschool = 15 Points
Zoo = 15 Points
Stationary Store = 15 Points
Magic Show = 15 Points

Minimum Score = 30 Points for Bronze
Middle Score = 60 Points for Silver
Maximum Score = 90 Points for Gold

One thing worth noting for the Stationary Store which is a game of concentatrion which DOES Count toward scoring is to add the Overall Percentage being 300 then calculate your overall percentage to compare so as to translate to wrong answers in a 15 out of 15 point total difference

*Results for Madeline Preschool*
Overall Score: 83 out of 90 Points
Accuracy: 92.2 out of 100
Rating: 3.7
Rank: A-

Madeline Classroom Companion Disc 3: 1st Grade
User Image

Disc 3 of the Madeline Classroom Companion Series is Madeline 1st Grade in 1997, the 3rd of the 4 Remaining Electronic Arts Kids Games under the Creative Wonders Name as a 2 Disc Set under the Madeline Classroom Companion Series before The Learning Company Took Over.

Disc 3 being 1st Grade was released around the cartoon series' Reruns of the First & Second Seasons and 3 years before the Third Season. It used the Medal Scoring System that's mentioned when a player starts a new game which applies to each of the 8 games, like Madeline Preschool.

A Player on Disc 1 & Disc 2 (1st & 2nd Grade) would need to play one activity 8 times to earn a medal that can be printed out or in this case with a Virtual Machine, taken a screen shot of their completion.

= Here are the Scores of the Activities in Disc 3 that I was able to Calculate *Points*
Playschool = 24 Points
Sidewalk Game = 24 Points
Bookstore = 24 Points
Stationary Store = 24 Points
Post Office = 24 Points
Magic Show = 24 Points

Minimum Score = 48 Points for Bronze
Middle Score = 128 Points for Silver
Maximum Score = 192 Points for Gold

After calculating for Madeline First Grade. here are the End Results of that Game in which the Playschool Activity & Stationary Store were more tricky.
Not a good start for Madeline 1st and 2nd Grade as that has to hurt for Disc 3 & 4 which is not going to help in the Point Calculation. But let's examine this from the Percentage angle.

= Here are the Scores of the Activities in Disc 3 that I was able to Calculate *Points*
Playschool = 22/24 Points (2 Wrong Via Percentage: 25 Wrong Via Points)
Sidewalk Game = 24/24 Points
Bookstore = 19/24 Points
Stationary Store = 21/24 Points (13 Wrong)

Madeline Classroom Companion Disc 5: 1st Grade Reading
User Image

Disc 5 of the Madeline Classroom Companion Series is Madeline 1st Grade Reading in 1998, this was after The Learning Company Purchased Creative Wonders

Discs 5-6's scoring system works the same way as Discs 1-4 but with one minor change. Players earn stars with each reading game that they play as a total of 6 Star Pieces are required to make a full start across 3 Levels which can be can be printed out or in this case with a Virtual Machine, taken a screen shot of their completion.
Each Level has their own Star Ranking
Level 1 = Bronze Star
Level 2 = Silver Star
Level 3 = Gold Star
from Easiest to Hardest.

Players also have an index booklet that they can use to look up words if they need to do so as it has words in English, French and Spanish.

= Here are the Scores of the Activities in Disc 5 that I was able to Calculate *Points*
Three In a Row = 18 Points
Crossword Blocks = 18 Points
Where's Pepito = 18 Points
Treasure Chest = 18 Points
Fun With Cards = 18 Points
Scrapbook = 18 Points
Silly Speech = 18 Points

Minimum Score = 42 for Bronze
Middle Score = 84 for Silver
Maximum Score = 126 for Gold

In the Make a Silly Speech Activity, its one of Few activities that doesn't count against the player since its impossible to get a wrong answer but has a scoring system. So any silly speech will do in that activity since Mr. Coffington in the game won't mind as a player can speedrun though that activity. Unlike other activities in the game where a wrong answer counts against the player and deducts points.

Before I show the results for Madeline Classroom Companion Disc 5: 1st Grade Reading, I may want to give a brief overview of what I meant by Speedrun. Since I have yet to bring this up in an Edutainment Pro Score Calculation Filler.

To put it simply...
A Speedrun is an attempt for a player to beat an activity in an educational game or game itself as fast as possible which does not involve cheating via codes or Third Party Modding Tools, as there's offline games which has speedruns in those manner.

Speedruns are divided into several rulesets for a player to achieve under the condition that player must follow as there's known examples following:
= Any Percentage: Anything Goes

= 100%: Finding all the items such as collectables in a Platformer (example: Spyro Trilogy)

= Glitchless: Bans the Use of Glitches or Bugs

= Warpless: Bans the Use of Warp Shortcuts

Plus other categories that are game specific or otherwise noted. For the Madeline Classroom Companion Series, all 8 Discs. It differs from game to game:
So how would the 8 discs fall under?

Discs 1-4, would fall under "Play on All Medals", which means earning all 3 metal types on all the activities as in playing all 3 skill levels.

Discs 5-6 would fall under "Play on All Stars" which means earning all 3 star types on all the activities as in playing all 3 skill levels.

Discs 7-8 would fall under "Play on All Artwork", which means collecting all the artwork and paintings that the player can purchase by earning money in the activities played across all 3 Skill Levels

Madeline Classroom Companion Disc 7: 1st Grade Math
User Image

Only 2 More Madeline Classroom Companion Discs to go.

Disc 7 of the Madeline Classroom Companion Series is Madeline 1st Grade Math in 1999, this was after The Learning Company Purchased Creative Wonders

Discs 7-8's scoring system works the same way as Disc 1's medal system but with one minor change: Now you're earning Paint Palette Panels to earn Money for the Paintings as they count as Bonuses to your scoring. So there's 2 Types of Minimum, Middle and Maximum Scoring if you want to do the Bonus Paintings or not.

Level 1 gives 3 Cents
Level 2 gives 5 Cents
and
Level 3 gives 7 Cents
in order from Easy to Hardest

So here's what I calculated for All the Paintings in the game
Level 1 takes a total of 21 Cents to get all the Stamps
Level 2 takes a total of 35 Cents to get all the Postcards
Level 2 takes a total of 49 Cents to get all the Paintings

So overall, to get all the artwork in Madeline 1st Grade Math, it takes at least $1.05 for all 21 Paintings

= Here are the Scores of the Activities in Disc 7 that I was able to Calculate
Magritte Measurements = 15 Points
House of Stairs = 15 Points
Cave Math = 15 Points
Madeline Tut = 15 Points
Degas Dancers = 15 Points
Mona Clavel = 15 Points
Mondrian World = 15 Points
Paintings Purchase Bonus = 21 Points

Minimum Score = 35 to 42 Points
Middle Score = 70 to 84 Points
Maximum Score = 105 to 126 Points

This is also one of Few Educational Software to support 2 Players as Reading Blaster 2000 is another known example
