What the f*ck? What was that rabid b*****d smoking, biting her neck like that? It wasn't like they said, with some sexy teeth canoodling. Ashke had never asked to be bitten by whatever this b*****d was, and she had kicked him as hard as she could. Infuriated that it had done less than nothing, she could only curse at his retreating back, which probably didn't help slow the flow of blood from her torn neck. "F*CK OFF, YOU CRAZY WHORESON!" Damn, that hurt. More than hurt, really... she was starting to feel dizzy. Blood loss was no joke, and even though the shock was lessening the pain, it still hurt like a b***h.

Fiery eyes locked on the retreating back of that fae who had had the guts to do this to her, the rabbit slowly slid down a wall in the alleyway, near slipping on her own blood. This was not good. She didn't lose too many fights, but that male had been insanely strong and very hard to get her hands on. She'd managed to get in a few jabs and definitely a kick that should have jogged him, but he'd taken it like a brick wall. It had almost felt like that was what her boot had connected with. Funny... dying like this, if that was what was to happen next, just hadn't seemed like her ticket out. "F*ck." Out of breath, shivering with a chill brought on by the blood loss, the bunny listened to her own heartbeat slow, pissed off beyond measure.

It was a funny thing chasing after one’s own son. Many years had passed since Ravnos had last seen let alone heard from Zapathasura. He had been trying to track him down because it was time to bring him back into the fold. Cryso’s lack of parenting had made him a petulant child, but it was to be expected. She had gotten what she wanted and now all responsibility was off the table.

But tonight a familiar scent on the wind had brought him here to this part of town. Perhaps he would have been able to catch him and have a talk. For anyone else he would not have put his nights plans on hold. Someone was waiting for him to return.

The scent wreathed all about town until it mixed with another familiar scent that he was also well acquainted with.

Blood.

When he found her he could tell she had been with him. His scent was all over her. A poor little rabbit who had fallen into Zapathasura’s trap. His son was brutal when he fed, often leaving nothing but a drained corpse behind. But for some reason this one was still alive.

He watched from the shadows for a while as she struggled. Having already fed the urge to finish the job was minimal. He had more control than that. The Disciple ate enough to keep the beast saited. A flame flared to life as he lit a thin cigar, the smell of cloves filling the alleyway as he stepped from the shadows.

He was tall with dark fur and even darker eyes. Long dark brown hair trailed freely down his back. While gold bracelets chimed with his movement. “Ahhhhh…” A plume of smoke escaped his lips as he regarded her with those piercing dark eyes. “ Poor little rabbit. Seems you picked the wrong company this night.” A smirk curled the corners of his mouth, despite the circumstances at hand.

A fire flared in the eyes of the 'poor little rabbit'. "Picked? Tch. It picked me." More was the pity. Ashke hadn't asked for company and it had been worse than usual, to say the least. "You get your rocks off watching other fae bleed to death?" she hissed, vision blurring as her life's blood spilled needlessly into the earth. Ugh. She'd have much rather gone down with that jerk than lie there expiring while some fae who thought he was oh so funny watched her die. It pissed her off that she hadn't even managed to do the other guy any damage. What was he, anyway?

Blood sucking as*hole. This night hadn't supposed to be like this. It was rare enough that the rabbit spent time around other fae, let alone converse with another. The stranger had himself a captive audience in every sense of the word. There was no way she was going to be able to get up, not with her strength fading fast. She could try to sit up, and managed to at least glare at the male who was lurking nearby. A hand pressed a piece of her own skirt against her neck, trying to stem the tide... but something told her it was much too late for that.

She had fight in her to say the least. Ravnos liked that. His eyes glowed with mild admiration.“Sometimes.” He replied cooly. If she didn’t stop wiggling around she would bleed out much faster.

The vampire drew closer, crouching down in front of her but still a safe distance so that she could not hit any vital body parts. His elbows on his knees while taking another drag. “Let’s just say….maybe you don’t have to die tonight, hm?” He brushed a bit of hair back behind his ear. “ What if I told you there was a way to save your lifeWELL you wouldn’t quite be ‘alive’ pet say.” He did the air quotes and all.

“Would that be an offer you might take? Or would you rather die out here on the street with your throat ripped out.” Ravnos waited for her answer. This particular cigar was rather nice. Only a slight change in what he usually got. But the offer was on the table to say the least. And if she didn’t accept he would just leave her to die and that would be the end of it.

"..." It wasn't like Ashke had a long time to think the stranger's offer over. "Do it," she said through gritted teeth, holding the scrap tight against her neck, frustrated by the way the blood seeped through. Obviously this wasn't working. If he could safe her life... f*ck it. "Whatever it is, do it, but do it fast." She didn't have all night. Literally. Probably, she only had a few more minutes, at best... not that she was any kind of expert. Panting, the bunny tried hard to remain conscious. At this point, it was just as likely she was having some kind of pain and adrenaline induced hallucination, but she didn't care.

What choice did she have? Her nose full of the scent of her own blood and cloves, Ashke watched the male with eyes that were hazy with pain. He seemed so languid, as though he was discussing what to have for dinner, and she would've probably kicked him... if she'd had the strength to do it. She deeply resented being helpless, further resented that the b*****d who had done it to her had gotten clean away. Well, f*ck him, anyway. Here and now she had one concern: would this male do as he'd said? Could he?

Well the answer came quick. It usually did with those on the verge of death.

Setting his cigar on a nearby box so as not to catch it on fire he approached the female. “If you really want to live you will do as I say.” The tone in his voice had become more commanding. When it came to business it usually did.

Rolling the sleeve of his shirt up so as not to get it dirty Ravnos cut open his arm, dark red blood darker than it probably should have been oozed from the cut. As he stood over her he thrust his arm close to her mouth. “Drink it.” He watched her to see if there would be any hesitation. Mortals were odd like that. Offer them a way out of death but the second you offered your blood they could waffle.

It honestly had been quite a while since the last time he had Embraced anyone and to be fair he hadn’t even drank this one’s blood. He would have to thank Zapathasura for the extra work he was having to put into tonight when he saw him next. Some children could be so irritating.

Maybe someone else would've hesitated, but not Ashke. This was life or death, and if she didn't move fast she wouldn't move at all... ever again. Even if grimaced at the flavor, she drank greedily enough. Here was the chance to live again, whatever form that life or unlife might take. She didn't care. Anything was better than dying in such an ignominious way. Thoughts drifted as she drank from the ... vampire? Her mind had blurred slightly as her strength faded, but she did have enough of her faculties to keep up with her single task.

She didn't know how much more she needed. When to stop. It tasted... strange. Not like her own blood, but not unlike it, either. If she'd been a little more lucid maybe she would have cared more, maybe she might have choked. As it was, she held onto Ravnos's arm like a lifeline, because it truly was that. Mortal she might be, but she was no weakling, not faint of heart. Her thoughts ran in circles, the scent of blood and cloves near burning her nostrils.

The sensation of someone drinking his blood was always a interesting one. A bit of burning but it was a good burn. Like a cigarette being put out on one’s skin. He let her drink for a moment before he removed her hands from his arm. She wouldn’t make a complete meal of him. Perhaps he had given her a little more than he would normal have but it would be replenished at his own next feed.

Stepping back he held a hand over the cut and moments later it was healed. A handy trick.

“You are not a full vampire, not by a long shot.” Ravnos walked over and gathered his cigar up off the box. If she hadn’t figured out what he was during her time spent feeding from him she would certainly know now. “You’re wound…” He gestured to her neck. “Should be mostly healed but you will need to feed to complete the process. And by feed I mean on blood.” Crossing his arms over his chest he glanced to the horizon. “If you do not feed within three days you will ultimately die.” Reaching into his sleeve he produced a small card and tossed it to her. “On the third day I will meet you at this club, if you survived that is. And then we’ll go over your brand new shiny life.” The Disciple grinned. More to himself really before he turned to head down the alley way. “Three days!” He called back to her over his shoulder as he walked away.

The urge to grab the other's arm when he drew it back was powerful, but Ashke had enough self-restraint to stop herself. Her hands didn't twitch, though the temptation had been real. "I'm sure I'll figure it out," she drawled, as he walked away, catching the card as it fluttered out of the stranger's hand. There was no way in Faetasia that she would be so foolish as to throw out this opportunity. Life, or a form of it, had been offered, and she would grasp it with both hands. Perhaps she was not fully recovered, but she had managed to get to her feet.

Covered in blood as she was, she somewhat resembled a damsel in distress... though she was anything but. It would surely not be so hard to find someone to feed on, in such a state. If she was not successful now, she would make sure of it the next day. Tucking the card away, she straightened her hair, a look of determination in her gaze. She'd been desperate before, but now she was unstoppable. Nothing would deter her from taking this chance, and in three day's time... well, they'd just see what became of her. Pushing off from the wall, she walked toward the nightclub she'd left not long ago, this time with the full knowledge of what lay before her.

It had been three days.

And like Ravnos had said he would be waiting for her at the club on the card. He had managed to slip away from his current doings to be there. And he would only be slightly disappointed if she didn’t show. It would mean the spark he had seen in her wasn’t what he thought it could be. What a waste of potential.

He could blame Zapathasura for that.

Ravnos sat at a table close to the stage. A lit cigar that smelt of cloves on his hand Ashe leaned back in his chair. Two cups sitting on the table. One full and one half empty.

Dark eyes watched the door every time a new person would walk through. He would give her a little while longer before he left.

But she was there, a brand new, not so shiny fledgling. The bunny had always been light on her feet, but at present she was near silent. Not so quiet that Ravnos hadn't heard her, surely, but the mortals? Perhaps they might struggle to do so. She stalked into the club on the card, looking far more alive than she had when clinging to her mortal coil, and made her way to the table where her creator sat. Sliding down into the seat, she stared at the kat who had made her what she was.

"So, what next?" she asked, sitting back. He'd said that he would explain it to her. It was obvious by now that the legends were true, to some degree. There were vampires. Not everything she'd heard about them seemed accurate, but she'd avoided sunlight just in case. He smelled of clove, like before, and now she could see the cause. Heartening that she would not have to give up a mortal vice.

“Oh good, you survived.” He stated as she slid into the second chair. The Disciple had heard her of course. He wasn’t centuries old by having poor hearing.

Taking in a long drag he held the smoke in his mouth allowing the flavor to roll over his tongue before letting it out slowly. The smoke swirling around his head as he studied her silently for a brief moment. “First. Names. I am Ravnos. Disciple of Clan Ravnos and your sire.” He riddled with a gold earring idly. They hadn’t had much time for introductions the other night so why not start there.

“From this point on you will take your place in the Clan as. Fledgling and will learn all there is that you need to know about it and the other Clans.” Quirking an eyebrow he glanced off to the side as a woman in a rather revealing dress sauntered by but his attention quickly snapped back to her. “You represent the Clan now and what you do will reflect upon us. So I expect you to behave yourself. To a point.” He smirked with a glint of mischievousness in his eyes.

... Behave herself? That was one thing that Ashke had never bothered with, and perhaps it might have rankled her that she was being asked to do it now, but there were two things that stopped her from protesting. One, the vampire Ravnos had saved her life. Two, there was a certain glint in his eye that told her that maybe his idea of behaving oneself might be a bit different from the standard version. Whatever that was supposed to be. "I had help surviving," she pointed out, picking up the cup with the assumption it was meant for her, and taking a swig.

Her thoughts raced. "What does being a Disciple mean? What is Clan Ravnos?" The 'sire' bit she could guess at. He'd made her what she was, so he was... well, her sire. Not a father, she assumed, but still her creator. It definitely was better than calling him that. "What does behaving mean to you? I assume there are rules to being this," she said, and pointed at her chest. Fledgling. The title was so new, it practically still squeaked. Maybe it did. It couldn't be a coincidence that the name of the clan was the same as her sire's name.

Grasping his own drink, he lazily sworled it. The ice cubes clinking against the glass and each other as he pondered her questions. There would be many more he was sure.

“Being a Disciple means….” He leaned forward a dark shadow falling across his face and the slight glint of fangs peaking out from beneath his lip could be seen. “…I am in charge. There is no one higher than me in the Clsn.” Ravnos settled back into his chair a lighter air in his demeanor. “Clan Ravnos is family. We take care of each other above all. We are the sheltering home in the storm, the coin in the beggars cup, the love of a mother who holds her to her well endowed blossom.” He held his arms to his chest for emphasis.

Another wise smirk spread his lips. “Oh to me well as long as you don’t start a war between our Clan and another so would have to give you final deathZ but feel free to start one between the other clans.” He chuckled. “You will learn how to maneuver among the other clans as well as your own soon enough. Either their east way or the yard way.”

Locking eyes with her the humor in his face drained away. “However, there is only one rule abode all others. You do not break thr masquerade. This means you do not allow mortals to see or learn what you are. Not even a Toreador, they love mortals you see, would dare break this rule. If you break it I am afraid there is nothing I can do to protect you.”

"I have," she said, "no ties. No one to break, the what's it? Masquerade? To." Well. She'd had no ties. Now she had a particularly strong tie, it seemed. But not to anything mortal. That her sire was the one in charge seemed to weigh neutral: surely she was the lowest of the low, being the newest born. Maybe it'd have advantages, but Ashke honestly did not give a f*ck. She regarded her sire with a faint intrigue; not for him, but rather for what he represented. The things he'd described, a sheltering storm, a coin, love of a mother... she'd never had those things before, except when she'd taken them herself.

It was new. "It'd be the first family I've ever had," she mused, and sipped the drink from the cup, mulling over what she'd been told. "You don't need to worry about me blabbing whatever. Why would I tell someone something like this about myself? Or even show them?" Easier to kill anyone who might be at risk of finding out. But were there rules about that, too? "Got it. Don't start a war, don't let any mortals find out what I am. Do start wars between the other clans." That last part was said with a layer of sarcasm, a dark humor that suggested she hadn't decided whether she wanted to or not. Who knew? Ashke hadn't met them yet.
