Rogues are welcomed but limited to three ranks: Soldier, Warden, Healer. This is ICly relevant, as The Court is in need of an 'army' to protect against potential threats.

To join, fill out and post one of the two forms found below. The first will require a joining RP and the second will rely on information provided through 'head-canon'. In either case, I want to know who your character is and to understand how they came to fill The Court's ranks.

• RP Form: No additional information required. You and an established Elven member can RP out how your character found the pack and joined. Scouts are currently tasked with recruiting rogues, but any original Elven member can assist in this joining RP. Rogues cannot recruit at this time.

• Non-RP Form: You can choose to go into great lengths when building off of the provided prompts, or you can keep it short and to the point. This option is for those who simply do not have the time for RP but would still like for their characters to join in the fun!

Wildlife Update 3/2/20: Wildlife, or 'Wildlings' as they are called by the Elves, have been approved by the Elder counsel to hold rank! So long as individuals feel they are competent enough to do so, they are welcomed within the pack and are considered 'safe'. To avoid confusion and incident, all Wildlings are asked to remain in the communal areas of the pack, predominantly the Forest of Eternal Life, until the majority of the Elves have familiarized themselves with them.

Those who do not hold their own weight or fulfill their duties will be gossiped over, ridiculed, and potentially chased out depending on the level of severity.

• Hunters (for those who do not eat meat, the hunt for fruit and greens to provide for the other Wildlings is acceptable)
• Healers
• Wardens
• Soldiers

• Recruiter/Scout (opened in favor of finding and recruiting more Wildlings into the ranks.)

The rank of Chronicler, although not openly discussed as a viable option to Wildlings, can be considered in the right circumstance. In order for a Wildling to obtain this rank, there will soon be RP requirements created. More to come.

The Troll attack left The Court in shambles, and many Elves where lost. Some were known to be dead while others continue living in a state of mystery. Because of this, some members still hold out hope for their missing brethren.

It is far-fetched, and the Elders encourage their pack mates to move on; but it is not entirely unlikely either. Because you made it out, didn't you? Only it wasn't exactly 'according to plan'.

Anyone with a blank slate wolf can utilize this method! In choosing to do so, you are claiming that your character has always been a part of The Murkwood Court and will be ingrained in its history as an Elf. Depending on how long the wolf has been 'astray', naming tradition and dye tradition can be worked with.

• Displaced Elves are asked to hold either the HUNTER or HEALER rank until they have assimilated. This is ICly requested by the Elders, who wish for the Elf to settle in before they go off protecting their new home. If your wolf insists, however, they can take WARDEN, SOLDIER, or SCOUT.

• As far as pack politics go, all puppies (including half-breeds) born and raised within the pack are considered Elves and gain all the perks therein; even if their parents do not. As a result, they are permitted to take on any rank as if they were of Elven blood.

• Until familiars are sorted out OOCly, babies retain the neutrality that their parents possess.

Wolf Name: Stag Jump
Desired Rank: Scout/Recruiter
Personality Blurb: A bonafide chatterbox, Stag Jump rarely stops talking. Even in the cases that he listens, he's prone to cutting off other wolves and jumping to his own conclusions on what they were going to say. A lover of seeking out and spreading rumors, despite his seemingly endless stream of words, Stag hears more than he lets on initially... until he's telling you about it minutes after he hears it.
History: Stag Jump is the son of Staggering Beat, an energetic and dedicated wolf who never stopped to breathe when speaking. His mother, Gentle Wind, gave him his second name on account of his ability to jump to conclusions.

Taking after this father, Stag Jump spends many of his days engaging in gossip with the pack and with all of the changes they were going through, there was never a shortage of gossip to be had.

The only thing that ever stops him from talking to other wolves was going out and exploring, which would give him more to tell his pack mates back home. When the Trolls came in, he would go out frequently and come back to report all of his findings to all that would listen.

Now he may have a smaller group for the immediate present to speak with, but that’s never stopped him from going out and spreading whatever news he could discern from his scouting outings.

Wolf Name: Beneath the Fallen Snow
Desired Rank: Healer
Personality Blurb: Beneath the Fallen Snow, or Snow for short, tends to be quiet and reserved. She prefers to observe and take notes rather than just jumping in paws first. That said, if a wolf is seriously injured she will not hesitate to help and do as much as she can. She is curious and wants to learn everything she can about her new pack.
History: Snow was abandoned as a young pup and though she knew what to eat and the basics of hunting, she wasn't very good at it. One winter, when the snow was falling hard, fast, and often, Snow clinging to life but unsure how she would survive the winter. Flakes had piled on top of her as she struggled to stay awake, but she was so very tired... Her eyes closed and her last thought was that she had done the best she knew how.

When she woke, she was warm. It took her a few moments to realize there was a larger wolf curled around her and they were deep inside a cave. The wolf woke when Snow began to move and calmly answered all the pup's questions. The wolf who rescued her was named Star's Shadow, and she was a healer. She was also the one who gave Snow her name. Star's Shadow took Snow under her wing and taught her everything she knew about healing others.

Snow soaked up all the knowledge that her rescuer imparted to her, but one winter they were attacked and got separated. Unfortunately, they've never found each other again though Snow still looks for her. Recently, she's been feeling the need to belong to a pack.

Name: Autumn Leaf
If not an Elven name, why did it change?: Pretty sure this can be an Elven name, but if not, it's because she chose to make herself "disappear" until things had calmed down.
Desired Rank: Hunter
Personality: Autumn is quick and agile, but flighty at the worst of times. Easily scared, she'll jump at the smallest of things, and tends to hide until it's shown that she's safe to come out. She is a gentle soul as well, and aside from hunting, she tends to veer away from harming others.
History: A timid pup, she spent most of her time just hiding in the shadows. Her siblings were all very outgoing, often demanding the spotlight, and with little to encourage her to do the same, she allowed herself to fall into obscurity. She didn't think she was very good at anything either - scouting involved talking to others, healing meant memorizing how to aid someone like that, a soldier needed to know how to fight.... That said, she still did her part, hunted what needed to be hunted, and always came home... until the day she couldn't.
During the attack, why were they separated from the escaping group?: What started as a routine venture out to hunt had turned into an escape. Seeing the threat coming, Autumn had tried running back home, but it was too late by that point. Opting instead to disappear into the wild, she took off running and didn't stop until she was far away.
Where did they go after the attack and what did they do?: Generally just wandered aimlessly. She had no end goal in mind, and would flee from those who approached her. Other packs, especially, frightened her after a bad encounter with one that ended in her losing a chunk of fur on her tail. It was blind luck that had her run into a Scout from her old pack, and, learning that they had set up a home somewhere else, she has chosen to return.

Personality: Jumpy, Quick-Witted, Energetic and Coy
History: Fox and her twin sister, Hound, were the only daughters of a single father. Their mother disappeared around the time that the trolls first showed up in the area although at the time they made no connection and still aren't sure if it's coincidence or not. Fox committed herself to becoming a scout mostly as a means to track whatever trace of her mother might have been left but she never would have considered leaving the pack borders to pursue her quest.
During the attack, why were they separated from the escaping group?: A small group of trolls cut Fox, Hound and their father, Wind, off from their route to the rendezvous point. They chased them for what felt like miles until they came to a steep hill. Their father realized there was no way they could all survive and he demanded that his girls go on ahead while he bought them some time. They ran blindly, with tears in their eyes, until they were utterly displaced.
Where did they go after the attack and what did they do?: Fox and her sister traveled! It was partly because they were extremely turned around and partly because they were much farther from their home than they had ever been. While wandering they encountered a rather infamous exile who traveled with them until they eventually found their way back to the pack (possibly with his help but you didn't hear that from her).

Wolf Name: Stoat
Desired Rank: Healer aka Matchmaker; I am aware being a Seer will complicate things and live for that
Personality Blurb: Extroverted, eager, playful, with a streak of impishness, Stoat has never quite outgrown a pup mentality. They're an absolute romantic at heart, but also absolutely inept with visions, so most of what they sell those who come to them are hopeful white lies. Stoat is well meaning of course, genuinely feeling their predictions are helpful despite mostly being made up on the spot. They're not much of a healer but they do make 'love potions' that don't really accomplish anything but a placebo affect, which Stoat figures gets the same result. Stoat loves playing Matchmaker and finds glee in the romantic, despite being wary of such relationships on a more personal level.
History: Stoat grew within a family unit [the Coven to be exact], learned the facts of life, learned how to provide, and even begun experiencing glimmers of the Sight before departing; although if asked, Stoat will claim not to recall much of this time in their life.

At about a year of age, Stoat set out on their own thinking themself ready and itching to explore. This was poorly planned. Poor decision after poor decision lead them to the best poor decision of their life. Stoat met a thrilling rogue who swept them off their feet, but a few weeks into the relationship, Stoat found themselves heavily pregnant and their mate nowhere to be found. Desperate to find a safe environment to have the pups, the young wolf found refuge in the Whiterun pack. The pups were born, raised, but after various circumstances, Stoat found themself and one daughter back out in the world, lone status, and under prepared.

Despite everything, Stoat was optimistic, and had been -in some meager way- successful as a traveling psychic. The daughter went on to join Dawnstar, leaving Stoat an empty nester wandering northeast along the Bluestone mountains, picking up jobs here and there telling wolves their "future" in exchange for safe passage or food.

Joining forces with a rabbit named Snap who spoke of enterprising Stoat's abilities, they looked for a place to set up shop and have been on this journey for some months. Stoat grows weary of always tip-toeing between territories, making meager ends meet before skedaddling along, wanting something more tangible and permanent.
