The scruffy gray raven huffed to himself, feathers ruffled as his shifted on his perch. He stood on the branch of a small tree that had sprouted between a group of rocks. Even in this land, he did not trust mortals enough to perch within reach of those that might see him as prey.
Another huff, grumbling quietly to himself. Ciro would never change, Judeau supposed e could not expect him to, but that did not mean he was going to follow his friend on whatever....encounter he was currently engaged in. Nope, no thank you, though he was loath to leave his friend's side while that a*****e was nearby, Judeau did NOT wish to see that.
So the raven watched, and waited, keeping a wary eye out for his friend and the young adolescent who had joined them. This land was beautiful, far more peaceful than those of the stormborn. If only he could have enjoyed it more, instead of spending his time watching his (and Ciro's) back.
