Let's Have A Little Fun!
Before the viking makes it to their destination, it has become apparent that the group is a little restless. The Storm Lords have shown them favor by throwing a small wandering pride of lions within their path.

It is time to sharpen claws!

This ORP is a nice opportunity to get your hands on some thralls for the Myrsky Syntynyt. For rogues, this may be the perfect opportunity to offer your strength to their cause. Naturally, for the Stormborn, this is a perfect time to get some sweet loot. NPCs can and will be murdered, the desirable captured, and the strong recruited.

(Don't worry Outlands, we haven't forgotten about you! If you only have lions signed up in the Outlands, you can join the rp with a rogue to try your hand at winning some prizes. Just be wary, the Stormborn are not kind to the unworthy).

There will be more opportunities for prizes in the near future!

Ending Date: TBD

Prizes

We have here a few lovely ladies that'll have the misfortune of being taken as thralls for the Myrsky Syntynyt. The only condition that comes with owning them is that they must remain within the Myrsky Syntynyt pride, and will initially join as thralls - with the upcoming Breytast Vindar, perhaps they can change their fates.

Dark clouds rolled over the open Savannah, stretched out as far as the eye could see. Even the strange phenomenon, those brilliant streaks of light, could not be seen behind the cover of clouds. Rains were coming, though that was something she had grown used to. The Myrsky Syntynyt lands were always wet, suffering from the constant onslaught of rain brought in by the roaring seas. Out here, rain was a rare treat. The lands were parched, starving for the life rain would bring them. With life came death, and with death came life. A beautiful, vicious cycle that she was all too familiar with.

Behind her, she could hear the low rumble of hushed chatter. Her dark ears flicked back, trying to make out words riddled with excitement and anxiety. The viking were at least twenty strong - a sizable force gathered together by the promise of trophies and freedom from a home plagued by famine. The past week had been nothing but dull travelling (their guide Calypso, wandered far ahead of the group for reasons that Jupe did not quite understand), but she would take that over the chaos and mayhem at home.

Her cubs were now teenagers, stupid, obnoxious, bull-headed teenagers. A portion of them had returned from a viking bald, and she had nearly lost her mind with every last one of them. If her mate ever had hopes of making more children with her, those hopes had been dashed by the idiocy of their first litter. Jupe had signed herself up for a viking just to get away from her children.

The group now reminded her of her cubs, the anxiety and eagerness to take from the world around them. Their Captain must have known how restless the reavers had become, because as Jupe glanced over to the crimson and gold lioness she saw the wheels turning in her head. Something was happening.

Looking out over the world, she too saw what Sabia'Deimos had seen. A roaming pride of lions, only eight members strong... a plaything for a group such as themselves. Jupe laid down, her bone-marked legs hanging over the edge of a rocky outcropping. The Captain had intended for the group to rest here for the evening, but now it was clear that there would be no rest for the wicked.

She witnessed a ripple of excitement roll through the group as more caught on to what was headed their way. Soon, all of them were waiting anxiously for the pride to wander close enough.

And when they did, they descended from the hills.

Gudina was sick and tired pretty much literally, he had joined the storm born to stand by his friend and he had done that, but he had taken a lot of suffering on his back to keep his promises. The famine had felt like it had been dragging on forever since he had joined and he had heard nothing of any relief in sight. So he had decided to go out with the others on a Viking trip.

This was his first trip and he would have the chance to earn the rank of reaver which was exciting and he was eager to show his stuff to the captains. He was not a weak cub nor was he a soft-bellied male. He was ready and willing to do what he needed to do to prove he belonged in the storm born pride. Everyone in the pride had become restless, tired and starving every day and night.

The sound cubs crying day and night as they felt as if they were starving to death. The ones born in the famine suffering for life struck with alignments. He shook his head the idea of having cubs during the famine was madness, then again it really wasn't something that could always be controlled since life did what it wanted.

This was really ReiĆ°i's first time out of the pride. It wasn't that she wasn't aching to become a Reaver, or anything, but she never really found an opportunity before now. There had been plenty, but she was biding her time. She knew a perfect opportunity come along one day.

Here it was.

And it was a perfect opportunity to escape the ever present hunger that pulled at her belly. She hoped leaving the lands would quell her hunger a bit more. She took a deep breath to calm her nerves and excitement about being out here, the desire to prove herself being a strong one.

This wasn't the twins' first Rodeo. They had been out and about several times. Slava was far more excited than her brother was. Vaska only tagged along to keep his sister out of trouble, which she always seemed to find herself in. He shook his head. He didn't mind the hunger.

Slava didn't either. But she would always take any opportunity to prove her strength and fight. It annoyed her that Vaska always tagged along as a voice of Reason or whatever he was trying to be.

She just wanted to fight

Vaska huffed in his sister's general direction, almost as if he could feel what she was thinking about him, or her annoyance. He looked up at the dark sky, breathing in the scent of the rain and allowing it to calm him.

((Actually a Reaver.. I need to update her cert but I m lazzzzzy))

Gray rolling clouds over head were never an unwelcomed thing to a stormborn. Especially, a born and raised Stormborn like Eira who had been born and grown in the stormy shores of the pride. What ever the gray clouds had to offer would be welcomed by the pale viking.

The trip was not complete but already Eira felt she was learning a lot from the older more experienced vikings of the group. Her watchful light blue eyes had been observant of their behaviors for her to take note of. For now she would stay quiet and keep her posture poised and ready in case there was a need for any swift actions.

The female was a Reaver but she was inexperienced having at best gone on one viking. This would be her second time out of the pride and it would be more of the real deal than her first outing. She was ready to prove her worth and show these vikings she was one of them. She would roar in the face of the storms and be recognized as fit to bare the title of Reaver of the Stormborn.

His brother had left him with the group; not maliciously, his more talkative sibling had decided that ultimately leaving him here while he went to do ā€˜something elseā€™ was the best idea. Groot didnā€™t agree but he obeyed his older brother as a good younger brother should.

He had heard about the stormborn a lot from his sibling, about who they were; what they were. They had decided to join together and when word had come that the stormborn were making a mass raid on another pride it had sounded like something that they should be doing. Of course his sibling wasnā€™t here but he had been told ā€˜just do some fightingā€™ this sounded mostly like good fun to Groot so he followed the party; a massive mess of muscle and fur, silent, for the most part, excited for the prospect of a good batttle.

This was his chance to prove himself, Yamma was ready, poised like a.. like a.. he couldnā€™t think of an analogy, he was just ready. The last reaving he went on hadnā€™t exactly gone according to plans. This was more than a reaving though, this was a mission. The specifics were lost on him, he really didnā€™t care all he heard was ā€˜fighting and pilliagingā€™ And he was in.

He was certainly young compared to some of the lions here. Young and careless and mostly carefree. His mane had barely grown in but it was full and thick and made him an adult, or so he felt any way. He knew he hopped along excited instead of somber. No one seemed to mind though maybe at some point he would have to calm the hel down and do a serious face, that time was not now.

Verdandi moved quietly. She was an experienced reaver and all of these youngsters with their loud feet and even louder mouths were irritating the hel out of her. Her tail lashed constantly. Still this was better than being home. She had joined the war band without any question or thought. Sheā€™d already marched herself out on to a reaving as soon as her belly made too much noise for her own ears. This was just another excuse, the best kind of excuse, a good old fashioned brawl and murder. If she wasnā€™t permanently in a bad mood she would probably have a skip in her step. She didnā€™t do ā€˜skipā€™ though she walked in a tireless lope as she had learned from many outings with her band.

ā€œNorn the actual hel are you doing?ā€ She called her gaze fixed upon the bird perched in a tree that had clearly, at some point, been struck by lightning, its bark blackened. ā€œYouā€™re supposed to be scouting, stop preening you god damned canary!ā€ she growled.

The soft brown vulture raised her head from preening her feathers. She had been waiting for the lions to catch up. She had nothing to report of course, she had mainly just settled herself in the tree to sort her feathers out while she waited. She laughed a cackling laugh and dropped heavily from the tree, her wings spreading she glided to the lionesses back landing heavily her claws tightening around the lionesses spine. ā€œThereā€™s nothinā€™ to report stop your griping.ā€ Norn clicked her beak and settled herself with her wings open just a little making the brown lioness seem like she had wings behind her head.

ā€œOne of these days you pissin bird I am going to eat you.ā€ She grumbled snapping at the bird with her teeth though she missed the vulture by a hairs bredth. ā€œStop digging your feckinā€™ claws in you dusty bag of feathers.ā€ She hissed as she continued onward after the crew.

The sound of many paws approaching woke her from a very unrestful sleep. The sound of animals speaking and shouting and being pretty noisy made her raise her head. She blinked blurily at the crowed approaching and settled her head back on her paws. They were of no consequence to her. Stretching out her paws she rolled back over. She had seen plenty of groups, there was no need to be cautious around them, they usually just came and left through her little patch of the rogue lands.

Licking her lips Pachiwaku closed her eyes and wrapped her paws over her ears. They would pass soon enough.

Gudina was pretty much just waiting around for the band to get moving and start this adventure, he was interested in seeing where this path would take them. What that would find, who they might fight, who they might take into the storm born pride. Taking what they wanted was part of the Viking pride. He couldn't stand against that if he was willing to live with them unless he wanted to serve as a thrall which he didn't. Gudina had fought for the right to be a freeborn member of the pride and he was ready to fight for the right to be called a reaver.

Ernaline was ready for this. Ever since she was a young cub she had aspirations to become a reaver and of course she had drug Melanthe along with her on the venture. The black and orange female looked over towards the black and tan one at her side and her eyes fell upon someone attempting to not be seen from where she stood and a grin fell across her lips. "Look." She nudged her cousin who turned and rubbed her shoulder in response. "What?!" She hissed back at Ernaline and followed her gaze. "Oooohhhh." She knew what she was thinking. "Lead the way then." She waved a paw and Ernaline slunk towards the splotchy female a wicked grin upon her face.

Standing tall and proud before the female who was hiding like a coward she looked down at her. "I'll give you two choices, you can come with me peacefully or you can come with me unwillingly." Keeping the toothy grin she looked at her with a dance in her eyes. Please say she'd fight.

Melanthe stood a little to the side and watched, she was curious to know how this would go down.

Well, wasn't this an interesting situation. Akun'kamal sat back, tail flicking gently against his haunches at the sight of twin bands of lions on a collision course. One, the group of travelers he had been following, seemed as yet unaware of the other, which was one of the largest roving prides he had ever seen. He recognized the look of them, especially those leading the pack. Fighters. Scavengers. Woe betide this meager group in their path. They'd fall like fledging birds before a leopard.

The lion licked his lips, revealing overlarge canines. Thank goodness he hadn't yet made himself known to the smaller group. That might have led to his traveling in their midst, and... Well, the ragtag horde uphill looked much more interesting. A smile crossed the male's muzzle. Keeping low, he made to circle around the his former targets - find himself a nice vantage point. Mayhap there would be an opportunity here, if he was patient enough to seize it.

It was impossible for this wonderfully rollicking band to be anything but Stormborn. Skari had been the one to point it out (to his Captain's disdain), but the decision to unite with the larger group had been unanimous on the warband's part. No matter what they were doing, it would be much more exciting than poking around the mysterious Lake. Better, in fact: hopefully, whatever they were doing wouldn't cost him any of his mane!

He'd run ahead of the rest, skull-marked face illuminating his grin. His captain had remarked on that, decried his smile. Called his gleaming mask ghoulish! Even told him not to smile at combat. Skari had only laughed. He nearly did now, loosing a gravelly bark at the feeling of freedom, of earth beneath his paws and the wind in his mane. This was something to relish. Out an' about, nothing to hold you back, nothing to hold you down. This was the reason youngbloods became reavers, surely.

And ahead of him, Skari figured, was another. The lion slowed to a trot, a frown pulling at his death's-head features. Was that a...lioness, in the path? Out in the open, no less. With her paws over her ears.

...That's not something you see every day.

"Y'alright, there?" Skari shook out his mane, fluffing it up to his most imposing before circling around behind the lone stranger. "Y'know there's a whole warband o' lions coming this way, aye? Not a great place for you to be sleepin', I'm afraid." The Stormborn before her, by his estimation, and he at her back. It was a bad position for a future thrall. More than great, however, for an aspiring young reaver.

What was happening back home was... stressful, to say the least, and while Hjalmar was normally the type to bulldoze his way through troubling situations, a famine wasn't exactly something he could fight. And in his inability to do anything, he chose to go out on the longest sounding viking he could find. A big group like this? That was bound to be something good. Something exciting.

And this small pride, ripe for the taking? That was perfect.

With a smirk, he stalked his way towards the outer edge of the group, keeping as low as he could but also staying relatively away. He was a bulky lion, huge in comparison to most, and he didn't want to risk his size giving them away.

No, he would wait for his captain to give the signal before he charged.

Restlessness was the drive towards the pause. Calypso and Ull had done well to steer them in a direction, but for the most part had been to themselves. Sabia'deimos had chocked it up to young love befitting the two with heads so close together they as well have been one, but she wasn't ignorant to what they plotted.

The conversation leading up to this moment had been delightful.

After agreeing to Captain the band destined for the Outlands she hadn't settled properly. Zjarri'fol - their Warlord - didn't even get a proper disclosure from her, it was unlike her. She had met and been in contact with several others though, most of which were eager to flee thier homelands temporarily in search of sanctuary in the roguelands.

For now she was sated with watching the crowds work around her and their fellow members while they stopped briefly.

The clouds above the group were darkened, promising fruitful rains and she took comfort in it. This along with a group of lions roaming not far from the band she was leading made her grin from ear to ear. She barely had time to say a word, but she didn't have to. The band knew what they were to do, she didn't need to hold their paws while they scavenged or fought. "Go on, have your fun." Sabia muttered to herself while she sat back on her haunches, her blood thirst wouldn't be sated by the mere group that had presented itself - no. She thirsted for the death of a pride, or as many as she could get her paws on.

They'd probably been wandering for several days now, perhaps a couple weeks, heading away from the desert they had twice called home. The horde had simply up and left, gone elsewhere and left several lions behind. Both Ngoma and Ramla had decided to not wait around, opting to head for other places. The world had begun to go crazy in that time, with the weather shifting rather erradically. Now, they witnessed a group of lions on the move. Ngoma huffed, feeling the wind tug at his mane. "You think this is all related to graos oma returning to the horde and leaving with a bunch of lions?"

Ramla gave a small sniff, "I doubt it." She glanced the way they had come from, then at the group. "Honestly I doubted their... Thing... Was real." She rolled her shoulders, then started for the group. "They look like a strong bunch, we should join them." If anybody tried to enslave them, they would be in for a surprise - Ramla may have been a small lioness, but she was tough. And who would be stupid enough to try and fight a hulking giant like Ngoma? Well, who besides that Mahiri boy. The idea that somebody like that would get his paws on her... It still made her laugh. On her back, her vulture, the weedling little creature, clicked her beak. "Quiet, you. Unless you're going to be useful..." When she got no direct reply, she let out a huff, "That's what I thought." Behind her, Ngoma only followed.

Gudina wandered off a bit from the rest of the group, looking around to scout and see what he could find. He had not been in the rogue lands in a while. He had lived here for all of his adolescence, learning how to hunt and survive on his own. He started exploring other borders when he became an adult which was how he had found the storm born lands and met his friend. He had looked around the group to see if she had come on this Viking raid but it seemed she hadn't or hadn't caught up with the rest of the group yet. It was always possible that she would arrive at some point and he rather hoped she would, he hadn't seen her since he had joined the storm born so she still didn't know he was a freeborn of the pride. He stopped at a waterhole he found scouting and watched for the rest of the group to catch up. Gudina looked carefully into and around the water to check if there was any danger before he leaned down to take a drink.
