Although the lions of the Outlands have been boasting of their prowess and fighting skills for weeks since their homecoming, there are important members of the pride that have been operating in secret, behind the scenes, to ensure the success of the Queen and her subjects. These silent members are none other than Katiti'Manina's flock of ravens. Most of the lions in the Outlands should be familiar with them, at least by sight, since Katiti has used them to carry her messages for many, many years. They are bonded to her and her alone and will only accept commands from the Queen's Soul and the Queen herself; do not try to bribe them, they hold no secrets from their mistress.
Today, in celebration of our feathered spies, we will be holding a contest for six of her birds. To find out more about the contest, rules, and the birds up for grabs, please see the posts below!

Contest Starts: Now! Contest Ends: June 3rd, 8PM Eastern Time
There will be three different contests for the birds you see above: family concept contest, daily challenge raffle, and a scavenger hunt! Each of them will have their own specific rules but for the purposes of the event, we are going to cover a few general ones as well:
1. These birds belong to Katiti'Manina, the Monarch's Soul (Krysin). This means they can't be bonded to anyone else within the pride. 2. They absolutely may not leave the pride unless it disbands. 3. As of the commencement of this event, Ravens may join the pride without being bonded to a lion first. The assumption will be that they have been recruited to Katiti's service. 4. The birds from this event must remain loyal to Katiti, the Queen, and their duties. It's just the way it is.
Meet the Flock!
Melpomene; Krysin - This is Katiti's favorite and the leader of the flock, a female as quick-witted and scheming as the lioness herself. She wears a bracelet from her mistress around her neck. (Twin sister to Thalia)
Clio; Felyn - This is Melpomene's second and mate. He is a bird of few words and will not hesitate to use violence to get his point across, especially if Melopmene or the flock are threatened.
Calliope; Contest - Gender is winner's choice; part of the family concept contest (sibling to Euterpe and Erato)
Euterpe; Contest - Gender is winner's choice; part of the family concept contest (sibling to Calliope and Erato)
Erato; Contest - Gender is winner's choice; part of the family concept contest (sibling to Calliope and Euterpe)
Thalia; Contest - Female; prize of the scavenger hunt (Twin sister to Melpomene)
Terpsichore; Contest - Gender is winner's choice; part of the daily challenge raffle
Urania; Contest - Gender is winner's choice; part of the daily challenge raffle

Family Concept Contest
The three birds above are a part of a family that has been with Katiti for a very long time - but how they came to be with her and the dynamic they share between them is up to you. Your job is to design a story to explain their past, present and future. The winner will get to choose two friends to gift the other two birds to; you do not need to decide who will receive them ahead of time nor do you need to note it in the form.
If you are interested in trying for these birds, please copy, fill out and paste the form below into this thread.
Calliope (Yellow Eyes) Gender: Personality Keywords: *you do not have to write a paragraph, just brief keywords*
Euterpe (Red Eyes) Gender: Personality Keywords: *you do not have to write a paragraph, just brief keywords*
Erato (Brown Eyes) Gender: Personality Keywords: *you do not have to write a paragraph, just brief keywords*
Family Dynamic - Describe briefly how they interact with one another. Does one of them take the lead? Do they get along? Do they bicker? Who are they as a group vs with strangers?
History - Be as creative as you would like! Some things to consider are where they were born, how Katiti found them, and why they decided to join her.

Daily Scavenger Hunt
Thalia is the twin sister of the flock's leader, Melpomene. As an albino Raven, she is much easier to see than her dark-feathered brethren and is not always the best for secretive spy missions.
(this feather does count!)
To win her, your task is to track where she has been by finding her feathers!
- Each day I will post an undetermined amount of her feathers in posts made by myself or the mule. - These posts could be in this subforum OR the I/T thread so make sure you know where that is. - I will make a note in this thread every time I drop feathers but I will not tell you how many there are. - If ALL of the feathers that have been currently dropped are found, I will make a note just so you guys don't waste your time. - Each feather will have its own name; the first person to post the link to where they found it AND the url's special name will get to claim that feather. (The name of the feather is in the url and will be an English word; you need to right click the image and choose 'copy image address') - There is no limit to how many feathers you find per day; finders keepers! - At the end of the event, the person with the most feathers will win!
If you find a feather, please copy, fill out and paste the code below:
These two birds are of an undetermined heritage and gender and of all the birds in the event, come with the fewest strings attached! That being said, they will be our simplest event for those of you that don't have a lot of time to commit to playing. Each day, I will post a simple challenge that you must complete in order to get your daily ticket.
-Days will end (around) 8PM Eastern time; at this point I will calculate previous tickets and post the next challenge. -If you miss a day, you may NOT claim a ticket for that day -At the end of the event, I will randomize the winners -In your very first raffle post claim, please denote your preference between Terpsichore (green eyes) and Urania (purple eyes)
Daily Challenge #7: (Last challenge!) Post the name and image of a cartoon bird - you can't post the same one as someone else!
