The death-priests, who are responsible for preparing and caring for the bones of the ancestors, bestowing the bone-tokens worn by the pride, and determining what outsiders will be permitted into the pride - and to which family they will belong. Only Amoosu are permitted to enter the catacombs. Under the guidance of Isiike, they grew in strength until their power eclipsed that of the Onyeisi. This however, cannot last forever, and only time will tell how the new Onyeisi addresses the overarching influence and arrogance of the current Amoosu.
Traditionally all Amoosu are male (though this is not a hard and fast rule) and there is no more than two Amoosu at a time from each family (but not every family always has an Amusu). Potential Amoosu are usually identified as cubs, and must exhibit patience, intelligence, and willingness and ability to learn
Availability:Special. How to Acquire:
IC: Amusu are always born into the pride and are selected for their capability at birth. If a potential Amusu is identified in a family that has one or fewer existing Amusu, the cub is immediately given the rank of Amusu and is trained by the other Amusu at birth. OOC: The rank of Amusu can be claimed through the activity point system or in special giveaways. A person may only own one Amusu at a time, except for special case-by-case circumstances.

Di-anyi pl. Enyi(Friend)
While the Amoosu tend to the dead, the Enyi tend to the living. These are the healers of the pride. They may spend a fair amount of time collecting resources for healing when they are not directly tending to the ill. Some Di-anyi expand to tend to the mental/emotional health of pride members as well. When not actively working as healers, some Di-anyi keep some of their Ezinulo duties such as hunting and cub-sitting, but this is by no means an obligation. *While traditionally all Enyi were female, the rank has opened to members of any gender.
Availability:Open How to Acquire:
IC: The character may approach the Onyeisi or another Di-anyi about their desire to become a Di-anyi. They would then be released from their duties as an Ezinulo and begin an apprenticeship with other Enyi about how to be a healer, until they are deemed capable enough to operate on their own. OOC: One RP referencing either an apprenticeship as a Di-anyi, or their new work as a Di-anyi.
N'echebe(Protector)
Scout and guard rolled into one, the N'echebe are responsible for patrolling the borders and detaining or repelling rogues. They also keep vigil over the dead when they are laid out, to ensure that no bones are taken.
Availability:Open How to Acquire:
IC: The character may approach the Onyeisi or another N’echebe about their desire to become a N’echebe. They would then be released from their duties as an Ezinulo and begin an apprenticeship with other N’echebe about the responsibilities of their role. OOC: One RP referencing either an apprenticeship as a N’echebe, or their new work as a N’echebe.
N'elu(Above)
"N'elu" is an add-on to a rank as opposed to a rank itself. Literally meaning ‘above,’ N’elu- is added to the beginning of a lion’s rank to signify that they have been recognized as being very proficient in their skill (i.e, a N’elu Di-anyi is an exceptional healer, or a N’elu Ezinulo may be known to be a very good hunter, or very good with kids, or any other role associated with an Ezinulo). Within their rank, they may be looked upon as a leader and might be called upon to take lions new to the rank under their wing.
Availability:Special How to acquire:
IC: A lion would be formally recognized by the Onyeisi as being a N’elu. OOC: This rank may be claimed via Activity Point Redemption.
