Cub contest!

Yes, there are SB cubs to be given away. The general rules of SoA and Gaia apply to everything in this thread, so please be respectful! These cubs are Stormborn, born and raised, they will be required to stay in the pride until at least Adol. They have maternal family in the bonelands (sooooo many half nieces/nephews) and in the Na'vi (grandmother and half aunts/uncles) and various other places around SoA.

You may enter for all that you qualify for, but may only win one.

Father:


Rag is a Captain and a ruthless lion. He values strength and expects his cubs to be strong. He hates his goody goody brother Ronan, and is not amused to have a cub that looks like Ronan. He is slightly confused as to where they got a blue cub from, and wonders if she may not have inherited his strength.

Mother:


Mari is a cunning lioness, prone to manipulation. Deep down, she is actually quite nice, but she does not allow most to see that. Her cubs will see this side of her, even as she pushes them to be strong, confident lions. She will favor her blue daughter and light colored sons because they remind her of those of her family she is far from. She will eventually be a Reaver and a Captain through killing her own captain but making it appear a natural accident.


Mari also has a half brother that is a thrall. She half plays guardian angel over him and his cubs, though she does so from a distance. Her half brother has a litter that is now adults and if any of the cubs are mean to them, their mother will tan their hides.

Name: Calder
Meaning: harsh and cold waters
Prompt Response: Calder's biggest role model is his father, and therefore everything he says goes. He is more than confident he'll grow up to be big and strong like Ragnvard and will take any chance he gets to compare himself to his father. He certainly notices the way Ragnvard favors the darker cubs and how Mari favors the light, but being daddy's little shadow means he falls into Ragnvard's camp of 'dark is might, light is weak'. He applies the same to any lion he meets as well and is always very confused when a paler coated lion is a Reaver or Captain while a darker pelted lion might be simply Freeborn or, gods forbid, a Thrall.

Rather than being suspicious of those with pale coats, he'll pity them that they were born with such a handicap. While he won't generally go out of his way to help a stranger (unless there's something in it for him), he'll do anything for his pale-coated siblings to the point of annoyance or even anger if they don't see things the same way. It would take a lot for them to prove to Calder that they can do things on their own, and even then he'd still keep a watchful eye over them. That being said, if any of them pushed him away too far or fought back, he'd probably end up teasing them about their coat, calling them weak, fighting them and throwing his weight around to prove that they're not as good as him. And if one of them happened to actually /beat/ him...well. That's something that would definitely have to be plotted out with the other owner wink
