Round 2 information:- The winner of this duel will be guaranteed the rank of 'Captain'. - The winner is the lion/ness who rolls the highest number across 5 turns. An extra turn must be rolled by each player to break a tie. [Reminder of rolls: 1 - miss, 2 - bide/glancing attack, 3 - hit] - Even if you rolled higher than your opponent, if you fail to edit your rolls with an RP response, your character is disqualified. The deadline for this RP is: Wednesday 29th March. Good luck!

Roll 1 : 2 - bide/glancing attack ------ Total : 2  Huojin was surprised but pleased he managed to advance this far into the promotion tournament. after what happened last round, he was going to try his best to not allow it to happen again. after all he was now sparing with one of the regents siblings, and felt the need to step up his game. so again he took his time sizing the other male up and deciding to bide his time before making a bold move just yet. tail lashing, he kept himself moving by circling around the other male so that he would keep himself open.

First Move - 1, Miss Vasuman had managed to win his first tournament battle, but the fight had been clumsy and he desperately wanted to make up for the errors he had made in his first performance now. Perhaps it was this desperation that made him hesitate to attack first, but when he finally decided to lunge forward, he missed. A clumsy start to yet another fight.

Huojin didn't seem to have any better luck ether so far. as he dodged the other's failed attack, he attempted to take this chance to trip him up. sadly his aim was way off and ended up completely missing his swing. snarling at himself for being so stupid, he had hoped this duel would go a lot better. sadly it seem it was going to end up going how the last one did with him making a idiot of himself with trip ups.

Second Move - 1, MissWell, this wasn't going well. It reminded him distinctly of the first match, where everyone was tripping over their own paws. In fact, he was fairly certain that that Brigadier lioness he had found had only surrendered the fight to him because she hadn't wished to continue the trend.
At least he wouldn't just be a soldier anymore, he thought as he missed again, at least he would walk away from this a corporal.

Roll 1 : 2 - bide/glancing attack Roll 2 : 1 - Miss Roll 3 : 3 - Hit ------ Total : 6 unlucky for Vasuman, Huojin finally got his footing and was done tripping about all over himself. he took a lunge towards Vasuman and struck out with a open paw to try and knock him more off balance. a grin came to his face as he got a nice solid hit in. huojin was hoping now they both now could have a better duel and not trip over one another.

Third Move - 2, Bide/Glancing AttackVasuman was done being hit and not being able to hit back. He had that feeling he had in the first fight: that he would lose. The sense of defeat made him desperate and desperation caused him to surge forward and swipe out two paws, momentarily throwing him off balance, but he succeeded in grazing his opponent's flank. There! That was a start in the right direction, he thought, almost triumphantly.

belloblossom this will be a close one biggrin Roll 1 : 2 - bide/glancing attack Roll 2 : 1 - Miss Roll 3 : 3 - Hit Roll 4: 1 - Miss ------ Total : 7 Huojin felt the glancing blow to his flank, which caused him to whip around quickly and smack at the the other's face. sadly his strike completely missed as he had not reached out nearly far enough as he had thought he was closer than that. tail lashing, he was furious with himself for missing such a easy hit and hoped that it wouldn't cost him the duel.

Fourth Roll - 3, HitVasuman was ready to be hit by his opponent, but the blow never came. He rapidly backed up, gaining some distance between him and the other male as he sized up the other fire coated lion with his dark mane. Vasuman snarled at his opponent and then leaped forward, closing the distance he had gained to recover his bearings. He swung a paw around and smacked the other across the muzzle, the move that in his last battle had put him back in the game, so to speak. It seemed to be his lucky move, he thought. Maybe he did have a chance to win this battle too, after all.

Sadly there was no dodging it and he took the blow. A vicious snarl came from him as he took a quick swing at the other male. Sadly his strike yet again missed it's mark and he now was feeling as if he had already lost this duel.

Fifth Move - 3, Hit
Total Points: 10He had landed one hit, maybe he could land another, Vasuman thought, exhilaration fueling him forward. As his dark-maned opponent took a swing at him, Vasuman leaned back enough that the paw missed him. With a rush of energy at the thought of winning the fight (and seeing the look of surprise on his sister's face when he started catching up to her in ranks) he leaped forward and tackled the other male to the ground.
It knocked the wind from his chest as he went down on the other lion and he rolled off of him with a wheeze, but he scrambled to his paws and felt a surge of triumph overwhelm him. That had to be the end of the battle, he thought hopefully, surely that tackle maneuver had won him the battle, hadn't it? samus x It was a close call, but I think Vasuman won? Do you want to wrap up the RP with two roll-less posts and I can quote Kimaria afterwards or...?

Huojin was still seeing stars from the smack on the muzzle and was shocked when he suddenly was on the ground. a surprised snarl came from his mouth, as the wind was about knocked out of him. breathing heavy, he struggled to get the other off but that didn't last long when the other suddenly got off him. going limp, he took the moment to catch his breath as he knew he had been defeated to his annoyance. tail thrashing about wildly, he took in one last deep breath with a sigh before getting to his feet finally. "you won fair and square." he rubbed his muzzle with a paw as it still stung since it seemed in both fights his challenger loved to eventually smack his muzzle good. " i'll will have to keep my eye one you and challenge you again sometime. I wish you luck in your next duel." grinning, he hated his performance but he at lest he could say he tried and went down swinging.

Vasuman waited for the other to concede defeat, unsure if he would be attacked again. When his opponent did, the white-maned lion visibly relaxed and even smiled at the other.
"It was a good fight. I look forward to seeing you for more in the future." He said with a grin before walking off, his tail swishing behind him. He couldn't wait to tell Agni and her cubs that he was a captain now! The look on her face was surely going to be his greatest reward.
