Things had certainly been a whirlwind since he decided to finally settle down in the Bahari. Kaluwa was thrust from being one of the most uneventful, lazy people to suddenly having responsibilities and being mixed into the chaos of every day life.
Strange enough, he was enjoying himself. It was nice to have something to motivate you to get up in the morning. For the first time in his life he felt a true sense of purpose and accomplishment. Plus the dull ache of loneliness that drove him to seek out the pride had vanished the instant he was accepted into their ranks.
The only problem in his new lifestyle was his piss poor sense of timing to try and settle himself in. He had managed to move in when all of the pride was up in a tizzy over a whole band of exotic visitors. Sure, he was assured that life was normally not this frantic and fast paced. But like much of the more sheltered members of the pride he couldn't help himself but study these 'Stormborn' with interest. They were unlike anything he had ever seen before! Even before landing himself into the Bahari Kaluwa had spent all of his adult life near the beach. In his wanderings as a adolescence he had been lucky (or unlucky in some eyes) not to cross paths with any from their bizarre culture.
They were completely fascinating and were almost alien if taken at face value against the more calmer beach bums. Yet when he took the time to boil them down to their fundamentals he found they weren't a necessary bad bunch. Loud, arrogant, rough, and with a fierce fire burning within their hearts? No one could deny that. But not the merciless barbarians that had to be closely watched like some of the more traditional members regarded them as. To him they were like any other guest, to be treated with respect and kindness watched with mild caution just in case they were the rare sort that wanted to stir up trouble.
After all, it wasn't long ago he was right in their place!
Perhaps he was being just a bit bias to the group and was giving them far too much leeway. However as he watched in the recent scavenger hunt that the two prides could work side-by-side even in the heat of competition. He had enough respect for his King to know that if he thought they were any sort of threat they wouldn't have been given so much freedom.
His own bias though certainly wasn't helped by their passion for life and loud partying that held certain appeal to the male. Why he might not have been interested to share in their womanizing ways they sounded like just his type to spend the night relaxing with.
That was the reason Kaluwa found himself where he was now, slowly approaching a group of them who were all well on their way to being three sheets to the wind already. Despite his better judgement kindly reminding him he had a long day of work ahead of him in the morning he still didn't halt his path, hoping to be joining them in the festivities soon enough.
His eyes scanned the group for his target to hopefully get his foot in the door. It wasn't long before singled out the one to be the rowdy leader in this little grouping. Putting on a amused grin begun striding up to his side, raising a paw once he was in a reasonable range to properly greet him. "Oi there, mate! Room for one more among ya? Or is this little shing-ding for ya mountain goers only?"

The night was always young when the Vikings were around and that meant plenty of activity that often included wild parties - which meant alcoholic substance abuse at it's finest. Amidst the group was Iloziya, a lion who hadn't been with the Vikings long enough to build a tolerance for the hangovers yet, but had easily adapted to the consumption part of things. So when he had been invited to join a group of rowdy lions he couldn't say no or stay away - quite the opposite.
Arriving was the first battle of the evening, he had been distracted by plenty of on going things that day which included several meetings of happenstance that took away time to relax. That relaxation was key to helping wear down the hangover he'd been nursing all day. It was only when the hangover was nearly gone that he'd decided to begin the whole ordeal over again - there was no time like the present afterall.
"Hm?" Golden eyes left the crowd before him that had been passing around some drinks and landed on a male whom was clearly part of the Bahari - or at least very likely. Ziya took pride in recognizing the members that had joined Tethys on this particular trip - especially considering how much weight was on this gathering exhibition for the long term plans. So when the new face popped in he was almost hesitant to allow him in joining their little shin-dig, but decided that they had been so hospitable that they ought to reciprocate.
"There is always room for one more!" He smiled warmly, the group cheering along with his antics and approval. "We are all about inclusion." He said matter of factly, though of course that was false for the most part. In this particular case he was making an exception and seemed rather pleased with his choice. "What's yer name?" Iloziya inquired fondly as he approached the lion and went up next to, a large paw lifted and draped clumsily over the newest additions shoulder in such a way to help lead him along a little bit. The whole thing looked incredibly awkward. "I'm Iloziya and these are my boys." Not so great at introductions, but at least it was something.
"Boys, this is...."
He pointed at the male, giving him the opportunity to finish the sentence for him.

Much to his surprise the dark lion found himself absolutely pumped with the way the newest addition went on. He even found himself desiring to leap with a profound (and drunken) joy to celebrate, much like the rest of them, but instead he found himself more interested in finding other spots of the pride to enjoy - there had to be plenty of places to see and plenty to do.
The sounds screeching from the group were amusing to witness as they mirrored or in some cases attempted to mirror, that of Kaluwa. Ziya belted out a deep laugh at the scene as it played out and watched as some lions succumbed to the alcohol a little bit, dawdling off to sit for a second and breathe. The breath seemed to work for some, but in a case or two that turned into a snore which made the stormborn chuckle.
"Yes, some more! Cmon boys, bring some more for our guest!" The holler got several bodies moving fairly quickly as the group scooped up their rations to collectively dump more fruit, plenty by any lions means. "Have your fill Kaluwa." He smiled fondly. "Everyone, have your fill tonight!" The dark Viking dropped his rump and threw up his paws to punctuate his statement for the others, though they needed very little encouragement.
Golden eyes glanced towards the voice with a wicked grin. "I'm not sure you'll be up to some of our events." The thought tickled him pink though, the Vikings weren't a soft, squishy and sing-songy type.. which meant their activities were limited to story telling, fighting and often times gambling. "Are you sure you'd like the tour?"

"Ha-ha yeah man! That's how we do!" He roared back seeing all of the Stormborn join him in his excitment. My gods where had these people been all of his life!? He watched along with Ziya as the wave of cheers drifted throughout the crowd, causing some to double up their drinking efforts, but on the other hand it seemed to be just a bit too much at the moment for their drunken minds to be able to process. Darn, the night had barely begun and already people were passing out. He had to wonder what time this particular party originally got going in the first place? If he had to guess he would say that it probably was still daylight outside when it did. God help any Mwani if they happened upon this mini festival going on right now. They were likely to break down and start praying for everyone's livers right then and there! ...Or perhaps just shake their heads and leave the idiots to slowly kill themselves. Yeah, honestly now that he thought about it that's probably the more likely scenario. When the offerings were dropped in front of him he imminently perked up. Well they sure as hell didn't have to tell him twice! Following suit the dark male dropped to his bottom. In one swoop of his front paws he picked up two fermented offerings and cracked them against each other before bringing them against his mouth. It was sloppy, immature, indecent, and perfect all at the same time. Best and only way to start of a night of drinking in his opinion. Tossing the empty fruit husks over his shoulder he gave a loose shrug in response to Ziya's jab. "Mate, ya aint never partied beach bum style. Frankly that sounds like a ********' challenge to me." Swiping his forearm against his muzzle to wipe off the remaining beer from his coat he flashed a cocky grin right back at Ziya. "Count me in to whatever you can deal up."
