OOC Note; Slivka and Milas are their half siblings

Raizen was ready! Little mind raced as the white nosed male darted from the den in which the rest of his siblings resided. He was curious to know more about the pride around him and perhaps even find someone that he could spare with!

He had such big dreams for such a small cub. Thinking he was all alone the cub took to a boulder and made a perch for himself and looked around. This was his territory, his land!

Two of the triplets were walking nearby and Milas nudged his sisters shoulder and nodded his head towards the cub on the rock. "Doesn't he look just like us? But with white and of course younger." Slivka turned her gaze to peer at the young male who was so boldly making a claim. "Hmmmm." She turned her gaze back to her brother, "I can see why you say that. His pelt is the same shade as ours." She wondered if they were related.

It was possible. Their father that had laid claim to them shortly after becoming prideless seemed to have many suitors.

"Hey, you on the rock." Milas called out to the cub, who immediately turned his attention to the twins.

Who dare to call out at him like such! He was Raizen, not some passerby. Though once he saw he wasn't sure he would be able to take on two adolescents. Cocking his head slightly he couldn't help but notice some similarities.

"What do you want?" He asked rather stubbornly.

Ciruela padded up behind her siblings, it seemed she was a little late to this particular party. "You could at least wait for me." She sighed brushing her shoulder against her sister. "What are we looking at?" She queried, slowly spotting the little male cub she tilted her head and hummed. "He sort of looks like us." She stated though by the look of her two siblings this was a conclusion they had both already come to. She shrugged and set her gaze upon the pink eyed youngster.

She guessed that this may be some relation to her and her siblings, after all their father was known to be a womaniser. It annoyed her, but he had claimed them as his own so she was semi-okay with it. Of course it probably meant when she wanted to find a guy in the future she would have to look outside the pride. She let the thought roll away and padded up to the cub sniffing him roughly. "We want to know who your daddy is and we want some respect little fluffball."

Quote:
OOC: Raum used to be a friendly enough cub, roughhousing with his siblings and being generally adventerous. Since moving to the Vikings, the family have barely seen him and his personality appears to have drastically changed.

Hectate had followed her brother out, determined that he wasn't going to find anything fun to do without her there. As he jumped up on the rock the young freeborn instantly started looking around for a bigger rock for herself. But before she saw anything suitable she had rounded the one her brother was perched on and come face to face with two adolescent strangers. "Who are you?!" She retorted swiftly when one of the three -she couldn't tell them apart, it was like the time she had snuck some of that really strong fruit and hadn't been able to walk in the right direction for an hour- demanded to know their parentage.

"Respect is gotta be earned!" She added with a sharp look at the one she thought had spoken last. Parroting something their father told them often.

Walking up behind the triplets, Raum appeared seemingly out of nowhere. When once he would have jumped on his siblings and instantly wanted to talk and play, now he held himself apart, as if watching the scene play out on some kind of stage that didn't directly affect him. Flicking an ear dismissivly he met the bold little girl's stare.

"They are the Captain's." He offered the group in a low, flat tone that gave nothing away as to his personal feelings on the matter. Though his choice of label for their father may raise an eyebrow or two.

Slivka watched as a sibling appeared and joined her brother on the rock. She gave a smirk at her comment. Oh yea, she knew whose they were. The coining of that phrase was proof enough, even before their brother arrived.

However Braum was what drew her attention from the two cubs. While they were curious to her, her brother was far more important. As of late she hadn't seen much of him and she could tell things were changing with him. While it wasn't a bad thing, she wasn't sure it was a good thing either.

Raizen glanced over at his sister and gave her a smirk like smile. What was it with females and always talking so much? Though she was correct, respect was earned. Who were they to have earned their respect yet? Just because they were older didn't mean that much to him.

Milas watched the exchange between his other triplet and the cubs and he paid little mind to Braum. For all he was aware it was just adolescent rebellion or something of the sort. At least that's what he pegged it as. The solidarity, the mood change, lack of familial contact. He was certain that the root of it all would come into play eventually.

Perhaps he was just taking on a more serious roll in life.

Who was to say.

Milas returned his gaze to the cubs. "We're your older siblings, that's who we are and I suppose you'll have to earn our respect just the same" He said looking the little female over.

Ciruela looked at the younger cubs. Were they ever this little? She didn't remember being so tiny and, well, annoying. She wanted to swat at them and teach them to behave them selves around their older siblings that was until she heard Raum's voice. A smile lit her face. It had been ages since she'd seen her copper coloured brother. Why was he so, stoic? A frown creased her brow and she hopped away from their younger half siblings to prod at him.

Tilting her head she padded up to him and poked him in the face with a paw. "What's wrong with your face?" She huffs "Why are you calling our womanising father captain? He's father remember?" She turns for a moment to look at her identical siblings then flickers her gaze at the cubs "He doesn't deserve to be called captain, just call him old man." She huffs, she was severely wondering what was wrong with her brother and why he wasnt greeting them properly, what had their father done to him?

Sigvard was there, though he lingered in the shadowed entrance of the den. His eyes were narrowed, his jaw jutting as he clenched his teeth together in thought. His forepaws kneaded at the stony ground as if contemplating the possibility of leaping out and smacking the older female across the head for speaking that way to his family. But for now, he thought, he'd lay there and watch.

Bide his time...unless, of course, their eyes happened to fall in his direction. His siblings, for now, seemed to be gaining most of the attention.

He wasn't sure whether to be happy or disappointed to learn that these bigger ones were family. He supposed only time would tell.

User Image Ravit watched the scene, having positioned herself near Sigvard. Her body stayed rigid, mouth tight as the older lions approached her brother. The only movement giving away her displeasure with the event was a flick of her ears. While she wasn't the most affectionate cub, Raizen was still, in her mind, someone she wanted to protect. She found her eyes locked on the older lions, mouth twitching when it became clear they were siblings.

That didn't necessarily matter to Ravit, yet.

What really mattered was the information they were spewing. Their father was 'womanising', whatever that was. Sure, she didn't have much favor towards her father, most of her rare affection was reserved for her quieter mother, but what was 'womanising'? Was it relevant? Would it hurt mother? Or her siblings?

So many questions for such a small cub.

Raum returned Slivka's stare, his expression unchanging. He was still staring at her with a slightly downturned expression when one of the other triplets Ciruela jabbed him in the face. It was too much for Raum who, while much changed, was still an adolescent. "Hey!" He growled even as he flinched away, shifting his stare into a glare that he directed at his second sister. "What was that for?!" He demanded, trying to hide his shock with irritation. "And its Captain because that is his job title." Raum screwed up his face with true annoyance. Ragnvard may have been his father once, but these days the large lion was more of a Captain than a relative to the young adolescent. If he wasn't training with Ragnard on the sands, he was being lectured by the guy on tactics and navigation. Any father-son relationship they had once shared had long since disintegrated.

He isn't any father of mine. He added silently to himself, though carefully kept his expression blank.

Hectate was well aware that her siblings were gathering behind her and her brother Raizen. But she ignored them for the time being. Siblings were siblings after all, they would still be there later when the far more interesting strangers had left. Bolding ignoring the female closest to them she approached where one of the identical ones was jabbing at another adolescent. This one apparently also a relative. This time Hectate found it easy to see the resemblance. He looked exactly like their dad, only slightly more reddish and much skinner. "Who're you?" She demanded, curiosity overcoming any good sense she may have possessed.

Sigvard glanced his sister, Ravit, as she moved up next to him, giving her a small chuff of greeting - loud enough for her ears only. With a quick glance around him, he sidled closer to her and asked; "I don't understand who these big ones are."

Of course, he was too young to understand about the ways of life. Didn't understand that his mother was not the only one to bear cubs for his father. It seemed odd, to him, to see these older lions - not quite grown but bigger all the same. The serious looking one was unmistakably like their father, though. There was no denying that particular observation.

"Will mother be happy to see them here?"

Perhaps they should try and chase them off.

"I am poking you in the face you great derp so you stop looking like someone has dunked you in a river of elephan piss." She snuffs tilting her head at Raum. "We haven't seen you for ages, at least greet us like you know who the heck we are." She pulled her tongue, and contemplated licking him with a really soggy kiss before she saw the movement of the smaller cub.

Turning her gaze down to Hectate she raised a brow. This one was quite cute. She decided she could at least give the little thing some attention so she sat and pawed at the little female rolling her on her back. "You're sort of cute." She paused for a moment "We are your older, wiser and much more experienced older siblings. We have different mothers but the dingus that is your father is ours too." Pursing her lips she looked to her other siblings, her identical sibs and grinned. "Lets play a game." She smirked "You're all really tiny but you have to be smart and have fun some times."

While Slivka and Milas were a bit more calm their triplet was a bit more enthusiastic than them. Especially when it came to getting in other's personal space. Slivka watched as she prodded Raum until he finally got aggravated. She was also bound to ensure these youngsters knew who they were. It made her laugh. She had to admit, she never called him father to his face. It was Captain. "Do you think you'll be Captain one day Raum?"

Milas on the other hand turned his gaze to the white and orange female that seemed to stay back a bit. Curious he approached her. "Hello. What is your name?" He asked Ravit curiously. He liked her white nose, which it seemed her brother also had.

Raizen looked towards his brother Sigvard as the older cubs seemed to be keen on taking charge of the situation. Paying them no mind he decided to go talk to his orange footed sibling. "What do you think of all this? He asked him curiously.

Ravit glanced back towards Sigvard, tail twitching gently in greeting. "They are related to father." She murmured softly to him, eyes still locking on the group ahead. And them, from what she gathered, but she was unwilling to admit that yet without proper answers from either her mother or father. Her eyes glanced towards the den as Sigvard mentioned their mother, an irritated scrunch of her face following.

"I don't know." She admitted softly, not liking the idea of them finding out. If the other lions upset her mother she automatically wouldn't want anything to do with them, and that thought bothered her. She was such a mama's cub! How embarrassing was that?

Her ears swiveled back as one of the lions rolled Hecate over onto her back, mouth gritting tightly as she fought the urge to release a snarl. That wouldn't help anyone, she knew that, but Hecate was her litter sibling and she couldn't help the protective lash of her tail as her entire body tightened. Luckily, something, or, rather, someone distracted her. Ravit's head snapped upwards to stare at the lion who approached her, eyes flicking towards Hecate briefly before turning up towards the speaker. She shifted, positioning herself so she could observe both.

"Ravit." She answered, mentally remembering manners. "Hello." She added immediately, blinking up at him. "What is yours?"

"Hmm..." related to father...

Did that mean their father's relations were all to be treated as family? Should he look to these older lions and lionesses as brothers and sisters and treat them as such? Or should the same rule apply to outsiders in that they needed to prove themselves first? He frowned, not liking how much this thinking hurt his head.

He turned his head then to glance at Raizen and gave a small shrug, "don't know. They seem...weird. Not like us." He didn't like how everything seemed to have suddenly been complicated.

He frowned a little, "maybe I should go get Mama here. She'll know what to do..." He paused to consider other action, "I don't think we'll be able to take them on our own."

Raum scowled at his sister, nose wrinking at her analogy but he did seem to relax a little out of the stiff stance he had adopted. he certainly wasn't settled though, by any stretch of the imagination. Instead he gave his sister an eye roll and huffed. "Don't be so dramatic. We aren't cubs any more." He remarked, following Ciruela's gaze to the cubs gathering nearby pointedly before turning when Slivka spoke. Meeting her look with one of disinterest he shrugged. "Probably. What else is there to do?" It was why their father trained him day and night after all. He knew Ragnvard fulled expected him to become a Captain as soon as possible. And he suspected the red male was aiming for Raum to challenge the current Warlord Svana when the time came. Though Ragnvard didn't speak of it, Raum knew the lion had challenged and lost to the previous Warlord, and that he really disliked the current one on a personal level.

Hectate had been focused on the two older ones who appeared to be arguing but then the female one turned to her. "Hey!" She yelped as she was bowled over, her small body wriggling furiously in an attempt to get her paws back under her. Fially scrambling up she bared her tiny fangs at the bigger female and pounced on Ciruela, or tried to, but ended up pounching on the lioness' paw. "Rawr!!"

Ciruela snickered and looked at the little cub on her paw. So darn cute. "You know you're cute as a button." She rumbled leaning down to lick the little critter. She lost the will to bully the cubs as she looked at Raum. He seemed to have relaxed at least a little, she was glad of that. "I know we aren't cubs any more." She pulled a tongue at her brother "That doesn't mean you cant still enjoy our company." She huffs.

"You could stop being a spoil sport for ten minutes and remember you aren't an adult yet." She sniffs slowly getting to her belly so she could interact on a more personal level with the cub firmly ensconced upon her paw. "Your older brother is a stick in the mud, he has forgotten that really, he is still a kid." She grinned up at Raum. "He doesn't know how to treat his siblings with the adoration they deserve." She lifts a paw and ruffles Hecate's hair. "He's going to be a captain one day, but at the moment he's just a big sour puss." She looks around for her triplet siblings, they didn't seem to be piping in much, she wondered why her closest brother didnt seem to have the ambitions that Raum did. Maybe he did he just didn't talk about it? She's shrugged the thought away, at the moment she couldn't imagine life without her other two identical siblings, if one of them became a captain or even just a reaver what would happen to the other two? Would she strive to move to the same level as them or would she be happy to just be freeher whole life?

She'd never really thought of any of these questions before so she let them just, slide away, they weren't important at this moment, she was, as she had already said to Raum, still young, she had plenty of time to figure it out.
