Name: Chanda
Meaning: Fierce, hot, passionate

Personality in 3 words: Charismatic, cooperative, narcissistic

What do they think of being part of the first rogue-born litter in the Firekin?
Chanda is more concerned with being the daughter of a regent and an Umholi than not wholly Firekin bred. She thinks she is innately imbued with a kind of 'better-ness' than others, but doesn't use it to be demeaning or superior (on purpose, others could probably interpret it as that sometimes, but generally she inherited being likable from her mother). She has the classic Firekin perspective of anyone can be anything as long as they work hard enough. She just has a 'head start.'

Jabs about her half-rogue breeding or huria status don't bother her. She feels the duel is an opportunity to test and prove herself in front of an audience.

Name: Shakti
Meaning: Power

Personality in 3 words: Competitive, honest, emotional

What do they think of being part of the first rogue-born litter in the Firekin?
Shakti has a thinner skin about it. She tends to try and overcompensate, but not to tear anyone down, just to try and elevate herself. Thank goodness she has Agni as her primary role model or else she wouldn't be cut out for hearing whispers behind her back or insults to her face about her rogue father and huria status. Being called 'huria' makes her flinch. She'll be training her whole childhood for the duel to remain in the Firekin. She sees it as an unfair obstacle and burden that she doesn't deserve, though she understands her mother's motivations.

Meaning: Vigorous is the word I translated but it's all those as well

Personality in 3 words: Dogged, brave, belligerent

What do they think of being part of the first rogue-born litter in the Firekin? Once she's old enough to understand the rarity of her birth, she'll be glad to be a path forger for others to follow. She loves being the center of attention, even if the attention isn't necessarily good. She will work hard to prove her worth to the pride once she is able and to show that rogue blood isn't weak with her eyes set on climbing the ranks to silence any naysayers and to paint her mother and siblings in a good light.

Meaning: "not restrained" (Hindi usage, derived from Sanskrit)

Personality in 3 words: Disciplined (when she wants to be), intuitive, abrasive

What do they think of being part of the first rogue-born litter in the Firekin? Arun (nickname) will know growing up that she's watched closely, and not always with approval. She would chalk it up to being the daughter of a regent. When she is older, I expect Agni will speak with her and the rest of her sisters, to explain their uniqueness within the pride and how it is for the betterment of the pride's survival that doors open. Thus her name meaning "not restrained" gives double meaning to not just her abrasive personality but also a greater meaning to the pride. She will agree vehemently with her mother, that rogue-born litters are way of survival for the pride, and would challenge anyone to not understand the necessity of it.

Meaning: "boundless, entire" or "freedom, security" (Hindi usage, derived from Sanskrit)

Personality in 3 words: Good-natured, hardworking, loyal

What do they think of being part of the first rogue-born litter in the Firekin? Loyalty is something that Aditi will have as naturally as breathing air, and so when that loyalty conflicts, it is a great weight on her. She will be loyal to her mother who she respects and admires, but also loyal to her pride and their laws. As a cub, of course, she will not realize this conflict, not until she is old enough to understand reproduction and bloodlines, etc. And when she does, she will feel a desire to side with both her mother, which logical supports, but also the majority of the pride, what they support. To make it further interesting, it might she one day finds a firekin lion that she believes she loves, just to shake the water a bit. heart

What do they think of being part of the first rogue-born litter in the Firekin?
She views it as a challange. Thanks to her mother's teachings and the extencive training, Ash's natural inclination is to fight and win. She knows a lot of the pride doesn't agree with her and her sisters being there, but she is just that stubbon that she is hell bent on changing their viewpoint and proving her worth and that of her rogue-blood to them all.

Meaning: Fierce - specifically, character Heart, specifically mind/spirit

Personality in 3 words: Determined, Calculating, Hot-tempered

What do they think of being part of the first rogue-born litter in the Firekin? On one paw, she is a smart enough cub to realize at a young age just why her mother did what she did. It's hard to go anywhere in the Firekin without running into one or two - or five sets of cousins, after all, and she can only imagine how much worse that would be if her father had been in-pride, too. On the other, however... she feels that she has to work twice as hard for half the respect - and in many cases that isn't far from the truth. Mostly, it's annoying, and while it motivates her to work and to prove she is just as worthy - and even moreso, to her little mind - of recognition and acceptance as those born to it, it can also lead to her getting angry and losing her temper. Fortunately, she uses these fits of temper to practice fighting. And once the time for her duel comes around? She's bound and determined to prove every single naysayer wrong.

What do they think of being part of the first rogue-born litter in the Firekin?
Dahak is stupidly smug about being a test. She doesn't care what rank she gains as an adult, she will seize it by earning it. Dahak pretty much has an ego about her birth circumstances, and while she won't be a jerk, she WILL gladly use it to her advantage when and if it presents itself. It's a useful fact, really, to hef, but not much past this all.

Meaning: Graceful Strength
Personality in 3 words: Accommodating, Aware, Tactical

What do they think of being part of the first rogue-born litter in the Firekin?
In her youth, Akira will have a desire to please those around her (her sisters and her mother, especially). As she interacts more with her pridemates this desire will extend, creating an almost uncomfortable awareness of what her existence means on a social level. It will make her uneasy, but she will keep those feelings well hidden (except to perhaps a small number of confidants). Bending as a willow, she will act however she feels necessary to fulfill the image she things she should fill; someone strong and accomplished and worthy of her heritage. If she was a scandal, she might as well make it worth it, right? Thinking of the day when she has to prove that she belongs will give her butterflies in her stomach. Her nerves might make her path to become the strong warrior she wants to be a difficult one, but she'll soon find that her strength is more in a tactical mindset than in brute force.

What do they think of being part of the first rogue-born litter in the Firekin?
Bahudama will realize the unique position she is in at a young age, and she will revel in it. She believes herself and her sisters to be remarkably special, and will think they they're destined for glory because of it. She walks with some swagger in her step and seems fully intent on proving herself (though she might be a bit obsessed with this desire, maybe becoming oblivious to the more social or emotional things going on around her). That being said, she cares deeply for her pridemates, not being the type to wish herself success at the cost of others. She means well, but she can get a little caught up in herself at times.

Name: Atyadhik
Meaning: Strong, intense, white-hot.

Personality in 3 words: Confrontational, reckless, driven.

What do they think of being part of the first rogue-born litter in the Firekin? The knowledge digs at her, irritating like sand getting into places it has no business being in. She looks like anyone else, but she's considered lesser because her father was a rogue? Early confusion soon gives way to a defensive prickliness, her unusual parentage becoming an extremely touchy topic likely to provoke sharp words or sharper claws. Whatever the pride insists on calling her, she is Firekin, and she will fling herself into whatever challenge arises to prove herself one. Even after her duel is overcome, she will overcompensate for her former huria status and likely earn herself some completely unnecessary scars until (unless) she learns to temper such headlong recklessness.

(Bonus: she will almost certainly start borrowing her mother's 'rough language' as soon as it's used around her.)
