Rolling 6-sided Dice, where: 1 & 4 = 1 2 & 5 = 2 3 & 6 = 3Wook had made good time getting to his post, at the borders edge. He'd had little trouble waking that morning and so he planned to take advantage of it by scouting out his paths earlier than expected. He felt it gave him an upper paw, though his posts were typically quiet or filled with other Firekin.
Today appeared to not be much different, as he arrived he found himself alone and the area still - the sand seemed undisturbed and he sighed happily. This was a treat he had felt he'd earned.
Deciding he had a chance to do so he took a few more steps before dropping his rump and looking out to the sands that spread before him.

It'd taken Taurus quite some time to reach the desert her father's mate had spoken of. Someplace that would give her a purpose, someplace where she could still be a soldier, still be...well, her. She had a soft side to her, sure, but not in the same soft and fuzzy way of her father or most of those he let into his life. She was a soldier, a fighter, born and raised, a daughter of Epyon. She just hoped everyone was right and her colors and skills would be the right fit. At least the bright red and black of a member of the pride were easy to spot.
"Hey! This is the border of the Motoujamii, yeah? I've come to win entrance into the pride. To show my strength is enough to stand beside those who call this desert home!"

The bulky red lion was shaken from what must have been nodding off - not a good start to the day. Purple eyes, now entirely alert, turned to gaze at a lioness whom approached and he had to roll his shoulders to keep himself from getting a touch grumpy at the hour she decided to join him at.
"Yes, you've reached the borders of our home." Pointedly he stood to move and did so slowly, clearly he was in no sudden rush to begin the duel at first, but simply was using the weariness as a ruse. "You believe you have the strength to stand side by side with those who live on these lands?" He smiled, eyes narrowing a touch.
"Come, test your strength against me."
It was then he recalled that perhaps this was not his first time dueling, it was his first time against a rogue - what an opportunity, but why so early. Once all of those thoughts were behind him he lunged. Hind legs had coiled behind him, eyes locked on his opponent and paws out at the ready as he lifted off and aimed directly at her.
