its saying that love was around and had the hearts of many years ago and its not new but to many it is. love anyways wins if its ture.

Is your cousin religious?
If yes, my guess would be that it's a reference to Jesus loving humans so much that he died on the cross for humanity's sins. Granted my Bible knowledge is minimal, but I'm pretty sure that was the idea, and the dates work out give or take fifteen years.
I mean, it's still a weird post to make, and I'm not sure how it was meant to be taken, but that would be my supposition.

This is probably the most likely since most of the responses I've seen that are not supportive of the historical event are usually related to something biblical.
