Reading/learning about nuclear power plants. For absolutely no other reason than I was bored and curious. sweatdrop
They're actually really fascinating (to me, anyway), but man, even just looking at photos of them sends shivers down my spine. Apparently there was a near-disastrous meltdown back in the late 60's from a prototype reactor that could've destroyed Detroit had the operators not caught it in time. I also learned that my town is exactly .3 miles outside of the emergency planning zone II (lower risk danger zone; set as a 50 mile radius around the plant site) in case of a meltdown from that same plant would occur, so that's good. We'd be safe, even if just barely. Such a comforting sentiment, huh? xd Haha
