This is the island the Hunters have taken over in preparation for the invasion of Vampire Island. They've managed to kidnap some of the residents to gain information that will help them with their task but one has escaped, the WereTiger known as Dev.

This leaves them with four captives: the healer Desha; his son, the hybrid Dancer; and the twins, Wind and Blade.

With Dev's escape, they will move on to the other captives in hopes of getting some information that will actually be useful...

The island looks deserted at the surface, a perfect paradise. But below the surface lies a massive cavern system where the Hunters continue to gain more members, with the captives further underground and held in separate holes in the walls.

Dancer knew they were in trouble the moment he heard the shouting followed by the sound of feral growling that moved away from his cell. It told him that Dev had escaped. He and the tiger had been out under the supervision of his father when they'd been taken. They'd started on is best friend first, from the sounds of things.

He had no idea where the others were even though he could hear them from time to time. He knew his father was likely meditating to remain calm. Blade he'd guessed from the sounds of a leopard's screams was probably pacing her cell in cat form and seriously pissed off. Wind... He had no idea how Wind was doing but he had heard a few sounds of pain with his voice.

But now he was left wondering who they would take next...

His answer came with the opening of his cell and hands pulling him out roughly and dragged him down the stone hall. He tried to prepare himself for what was coming, he really did. But nothing could have prepared him for the determination of the Hunter's best torturers. Soon enough, all he knew was pain...

Dancer was finally dragged back to his cell. Literally. Two Hunters held him by his upper arms and carried him along the stone hallway, his feet dragging along behind with his silver and white hair hanging to one side. With his hair to the side, his back was revealed to be a mass of ripped up flesh from his shoulders to his knees. His wrists and ankles were torn and bleeding as well from struggling too much.

They rolled him into his cell and slammed the door shut as they left. As he rolled onto his side, his face and chest were revealed to be a mass of bruises and smaller cuts from the first part of the interrogation. But he knew they'd be back when he healed. A day and a half tops and it would start all over again.

He wanted to move into a more comfortable position, but knew from long habit that nothing would be comfortable for several more hours. He considered the bucket of tepid water in the corner, but found it to be too much work to crawl to just yet. So he closed his eyes and gave a soft groan as he tried to force himself to sleep for a little while, at least.

Part of him was proud of himself since he'd said nothing to them the entire time he'd been in there. But, then again, they hadn't asked him much...

((Small timeskip here))

Dancer made a pained sound as he was dropped into his cell after yet another session with the Hunter's resident torturer. Unfortunately, he wasn't asked any questions again but was getting a strong suspicion as to why and was very glad he'd already set up shields around his mind to protect anything that he might know that was actually important. But he had a feeling that too much more and he was going to wind up crumbling under it all.

But he had to give a weak grin when he heard Blade growling again followed by a snarl then someone moving very quickly down the cavern's hallway. Apparently, she'd been at it again. She'd been getting a bit of her own against the Hunters that went into her cell to try to get her to shift. Thus far, they'd been very unsuccessful.

He hadn't heard anything from his father's cell and wondered what he was up to. There was no way anyone could simply meditate that long without having something they were intending to do with all that meditation, especially his father.

As for Wind... He had a bad feeling he knew where his friend was and why he wasn't being asked any questions right now. After all, the Church had it's own feelings and standards about those who preferred relationships with their own gender. He only hoped he was wrong and Wind was in his own animal form.

Cassius brought the boat silently to the off side of the island at Dev's pointed direction then let it coast up onto the sandy beach before he hauled himself up to begin the process of drying out and shifting back to his human form. Of course, he was hoping for a bit of admiration since he knew he was even more beautiful in this form, but simply shrugged it off when no one paid him much attention.

He finished his shift and slid his shorts on when Ash dropped his bag beside him on his way to find the hidden entrance. The Siren got to his feet and gave everyone a simple wave of one hand as he headed for the main entrance to give the distraction they would need.

Dev, meanwhile, kept hold of Snow's hand as he headed after Ash, fully intent on getting them all inside to rescue his best friend.

Sebastet gave Cassius a simple nod as he left then followed the others, leaving Cain to bring up the rear again.

As they moved into the hidden tunnel, the librarian surprised everyone except Dev, Sebastet, and Ash as he pulled a short sword from behind him, the sheath nicely hidden by his shirt. He was now the assassin Sebastet had been training him to be, a completely different image from the clumsy bookworm everyone usually took him to be. Now, he moved with the natural grace and inhuman silence all vampires possessed.

At the front, Ash held up a hand to stop the others for a moment, then motioned them forward again for several paces before stopping them all again to meet eyes with Sebastet, who gave him a nod. Then he moved off on his own, leaving Dev to lead the way. The Incubus would be able to provide a secondary distraction and take out any lingering priests.

Once at the opening of the hidden entrance, Dev stopped them all to get a good look at all of the Hunters gathered, silently acknowledging that this would be the Church's main push to clear out their home.

Then came the most beautiful music ever heard, clearly directed at the Hunter's only and drawing their attention to the beautiful figure of Cassius moving confidently in from the main entrance with his long white hair dancing around him on it's own.

Dev gave a simple nod and moved for the 'hallway' where he knew the others were being held. But he ignored the others and headed for the one that held Dancer's scent and wretched the bars off of the entrance as he headed inside. But the sight of what had been done to his best friend had him shifting to his black tiger form and giving a roar that revealed his rage before he turned and ran for someone to attack, leaving Snow to deal with the bloody body that was the silver and white haired best friend of her pet.

No one really noticed when Anube pulled the bars from Blade's cell, but they knew after he'd done it because he was pounced by a black leopard that liberally licked his face for a long moment before padding over to another cell that Anube obligingly opened to reveal Wind in his wolf form limping out to meet them. At least in this form, he was mobile despite his injuries.

That left Desha to find. Sebastet found his cell but frowned when he wasn't in it. Strangely enough, the silver haired healer simply appeared beside his son and laid one hand on his bloody shoulder, giving him enough healing to stop most of the bleeding and allow him to be mobile with some help. Thankfully, Dancer was currently unconscious.

Cain had followed Ash into another tunnel where they were both fighting off priests and torturers with surprising skill while Cassius and Dev tore through the rest of the Hunters, leaving the others to move in where they could.

Xondra De Virgilio

Xondra Followed the others from the boat, and into the side entrance. Her buzz had left her, leaving her completely focused. She chose to remain in the center of their party. This being so that everyone was concealed within her nullification field. They would go undetected, for now.

The ex-hunter came to a stop, looking out over the Church's forces. The sight of so many prepared to slaughter innocence. Her emerald eyes began to glow a light blue, not unlike some vampires. Difference was, every rune on her body, and armor also began to glow faintly. Her attention was pulled towards the front entrance. Where the beautiful male Siren had entered, his voice announcing his arrival.

The distraction was a success. Ash and Cain split off to create a second distraction. Leaving Xondra, Sebastet, Dev, Snow and the demon siblings. They followed Dev's lead through the tunnels and chambers. Once they arrived at the cells, Xondra remained in the doorway.

The hunter glanced occasionally at the reunion behind her. Giving her up most attention to the tunnel beyond the cells. She spotted no one advancing down the tunnel, but after a minute there was a rather large tiger, charging back up the tunnel.

The sound of clashing steel echoed down to their little party. Xondra turned to see everyone had been released. " Alright Sebastet take point! The rest stick close to me..... AND DON"T STOP FOR ANYTHING!" The last was yelled over the sounds of explosions, that shook the stone around them.

The Priests had begun casting " Holy fire" Spells, in a desperate attempt at silencing the Siren. Their men had been entranced to the point of stupidity. Many simple stood there staring off into space. While the few whom had training to resist were left to defend against the brutality that was a mere glimpse into what they faced on the Island.

Xondra cursed, and clinched her fist. Silver tipped spikes sprouted from above each of her knuckles, excluding those of her thumbs. " Let's move Before this place becomes a tomb." She steps out into the hall to ensure it's safety. A second later her hand appears, signaling that it's clear.

Xondra would wait till everyone was out, and then step into the center. Her hands rose, locking several runes to one another, with a complicated hand sign. " Oh lord who art in heaven. I ask that you see us to safety. Conceal us from those who might do us harm. Protect us from things seen, and unseen." Her right hand, pulled away from the other to touch her index and middle fingers to her head, stomach and each shoulder in turn. " Blessed be." At the finishing of her prayer The nullification field became visible, though only to those within.

Xondra then moved with purpose. " Remember I am the only one who can cast within this sphere." Then she followed Sebastet up the tunnel. Giving aid where needed. The first of which was handed out just as Sebastet stepped from the tunnel into the main cavern.
A hunter sprang from concealment with blade poised for the kill. He had seen Sebastet's arm, in the second it took for xondra to catch up, leaving her blarely outside of the field's protection. However, he fell short at the appearance of an iron needle in his temple.

xondra retrieved her needle, locking it back into place. Then she wretched the sword from his grasp as the party passed. She hurled it at a second hunter, rushing to join the fight against the black Tiger.
The blade embedded itself in his left lung, a wound completely intentional. Xondra wanted him to suffer. Then she rushed to escape with the others.

I'll let one of you guys post them getting back to the island, the beach is now alright to post at, then heading into the castle, courtyard is fine for that or the Front Room. Once they're there, I'll see about sending Dancer over to the demon realm for further healing, Desha and Ash will be going with him, along with whoever wants to go.

DawnShadow666

Cassius managed to influence several of the Hunters into defending him but still had to do his own fighting, proving that he was more than just a pretty face and beautiful voice. But he did have to admit that he was grateful for the assistance he gained from Xondra in eliminating some of the priests. Still, he was proving enough of a distraction by remaining where he was that the others would be able to escape easier, so he did just that, using his voice to keep some of the Hunters defending him while doing some of his own fighting with a claimed blade.

Ash finally returned with Dev, rolling his eyes at the tiger pacing at his side. Dev had shifted to his white tiger form with the silver stripes, Snow's favorite. He was calmer now and moved to pace along at Anube's side because that was where Dancer was, licking the blood from his muzzle. At least the torturer wasn't going to be plying his trade anymore.

Ash moved to pace along with Yamille, giving her some protection on her other side as Desha remained at his son's side. If he, the twins, or Yamille placed themselves under the anti- barrier Xondra had put up, they'd likely wind up with a few problems. For himself and Yamille, the problems included death since magic was what was keeping the two humans alive. But they had protectors and would be able to get out without any problems.

Sebastet and the others stayed within the barrier with it's protection and showing no shame for it; they'd take all the protection they could get.

Cain, however, was proving his own skills. He'd appear at the right moment to take out a Hunter or a priest then fade into the background then repeat the action.

Thankfully, everyone made it to the boat without further injury. Desha waved Lir's skills over to Wind, though, knowing that if she got too close to himself his secret would be given away and he didn't need that just yet. Plus, he knew he'd be able to keep his son alive until they got back to the main island.

A few moments after they were all in the boat, it simply started to move on it's own at a very nice rate of speed.

Shortly after they were on their way back, Cassius was seen in the distance running from the main entrance of the cavern and diving into the water with more Hunters hot on his trail. Another moment and the island was completely swamped by a massive rogue wave. If anyone managed to survive that, it would be a miracle.
