Does Mickey ever get any redeeming qualities in Doctor Who, or is he just a whiny baby the entire time he's in the series?

And oh God I'm watching the Cyberman alternate reality episode with "Ricky" and his face is seriously making me want to punch someone in the face. I have to keep shrinking the screen down so I don't have to look at him because he's pissing me off ><

Haha... uh... for the most part, what you see is what you get. Though later on I think he finally grows a pair and stops being so whiny. Or at least not as whiny as he was in the beginning.

Prof. Moonie Haha... uh... for the most part, what you see is what you get. Though later on I think he finally grows a pair and stops being so whiny. Or at least not as whiny as he was in the beginning. Oh thank god. He just pisses me off.

Mama Ame Prof. Moonie Haha... uh... for the most part, what you see is what you get. Though later on I think he finally grows a pair and stops being so whiny. Or at least not as whiny as he was in the beginning. Oh thank god. He just pisses me off. Yeah... of the male part-time companions in the revamped series, he's probably the most annoying. Though Danny Pink (from the 12th Doctor's era) is a close second, in my opinion.

Or at least not as whiny as he was in the beginning. Oh thank god. He just pisses me off. Yeah... of the male part-time companions in the revamped series, he's probably the most annoying. He was always super depressed because of when he was a soldier and always got super pissed off if anyone asked if he killed someone. I mean that was literally his character throughout most of the series and i couldn't stand it. And I always hated how he was like "I don't give a damn if the world will blow up if I don't help. I refuse to leave these kids alone with your alien buddy!" sorry for the jumbled mess. I just really don't like that character. Especially with what they did with him during the series 8 finale.
