I want to ask him if he likes thyme and see the look on his face when he realizes it's not the time he's thinking of.

I have a feeling the Eleventh Doctor would get a kick out of the play of words. The Fourth and Tenth Doctor might find it amusing too, depending on what their mood is for the day. The others may not be as amused.
