The dragons predate Humans and the Hylarr. They emerged with the dinosaurs and survived the various die-offs by creating their own realm to survive in. They all revere the Brood Mother, the first of their race and now deified by them. She had four children, each of which was bound to an element: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water.
From those four children, the rest of the dragons were descended, each taking on some form of the element of their ancestor. Later, some elements were spontaneously created: Darkness, Sun-Gold, Moonlight, and Star-Child. Each taking on some form of that element.
Of the Brood Mother's original four children, only one has awakened, Lao-Shan Lung, the Mountain Dragon of Earth. He has taken on the task of uniting all of the dragons again, even to the point of forming the Isles of Draconia for them to live in peace. He has taken on one of his descendants as his mate, Ebony ShadowsScale, a shadow dragon able to shift into the form of a VERY large black panther.
Together, they preside over all of the dragons as the ultimate authority with the assistance of HellBane BlackHeart, a former king of the dragon realm.
Ebony once served under contract to the Goddess and still does the occasional favor for her.

Rules:
1. All Dragons have at least two forms: Human and Dragon. You may have a feline form with permission.
2. All dragons are bound to their element: fire, water, air, earth, lightening, plants, darkness, shadow, sun, light, stars, moon, metal (pick ONE), etc... And are only able to manipulate that one element.
3. For mating rules, talk to Alba Derosso for part one, and to Red Gypsy for part two.
4. Some dragons dislike humans for the whole St. George thing. Others are more forgiving.
5. Dragons are proud and vain at some level.
6. Not all dragons hoard gold and jewels! Tolkein's dragon DOES NOT have to be your basis for a dragon!
7. Dragons are weak to their opposite element and in human form can be injured pretty badly. They are immortal only in the sense that they are very long-lived. You can also give them any other elemental weakness like silver or any precious metal as long as that item is a poisonous weakness.
