Greeting fellow Guildians. My name is Ninja Latte and this is all about my quest for Inari Beads.
I've been told that noone's going to donate enough to make a real difference. I've been told that noone is going to WANT to donate. But I must disagree! I think people are better than that. I think when someone has a genuine desire for something, a mission to complete, a dream to reach, people WILL band together and help one another. And it is much easier when we help each other. The way I see it, is everybody wants sometyhing out of Gaia. And the ones that go out there and make a spectacle out of themselves are the ones that really get what it is they want! Because they ask. Because people do care.
It doesn't take much to make a difference at all, if the one Questing is willing to work hard, and knows the right people!
For example, if each person in this guild were to donate 10 gold, that would be my entire quest and THEN some!
This is the way we can help each other. We can give up one of our Daily Grabs, we can donate old items, we can spread the word to other generous Gaians.
So I come to you as a fellow member of this Guild. As a Gaian. And as a friend. Only to ask for a small sum!
Will you help me, friends? And together we can make the impossible possible! ^.^
Thank you for your time. Ninja Latte~~

Well, as you know, this is the subforum where everyone is questing for things. What you might not know, is that there are lots of people here, that sometimes get the urge to donate, and then do in fact donate.
But, don't expect it to happen any time soon, mostly use this thread to show your progress, it's always the best place to start (as opposed to asking for donations) when you want to improve your chances of getting donations.

Thanks for the advice, Mr. Wisher ^.^ I've tried that before, but quickly got impatient of gaining nothing >.<
What do you think I can do to encourage more donations, though? smile

First, I'm not a boy.
As for your question: Not asking for them is a good way to start. the next thing is to get yourself known in the guild. since your quest is in your signature, you can just update it every day or so, and spend the rest of the time just talking to others without worrying about your quest.
If you have a good rep and have friends, there will usually be a few donations. there are also random donations that happen, but you have to get your name out there. And the best place to do it is in the CIF. (our main Why Not forum)
