Yeah, are you thinking competetively, just against friends? or, just for in game?
The three are very, very different.in game, Id say you're team should be fine. (although you might want to look into some EV training as well....)
Competetively, you'll want to EV train, and probably IV breed to stay in form, at which your team might be lacking some counters for their own weaknesses.
and against friends thats up to what your friends strategies are.

Rapidash gives 2 Speed EVs. It does not give the most speed EVs ; those honors go to Pidgeot, Raichu, Crobat, Jumpluff,, and Sceptile (who all give 3 Speed EVs each.)

Rapidash gives 2 speed points.

(ninjask, electrode, Swellow, Dugtrio, also give 2 speed points. what pokemon you plan on boosting the speed for, it should have type advantage considering the variety of speed EV point granters. (there are others, but most of the rest are legends or only facable against other trainers)

Really Speed is the only thing I work on. Maybe the occasionally Spcl Attk.

Since speed can only be a about half of the EV points, you ought to look into what each pokemon has stat wise already, then figure out what the most useful stats for it would be. (often I plan for attack/special attack depending on the pokemon's moveset. HP/Speed. and Defense/Special Defense. it varies from pokemon to pokemon which group I boost the most, and which group doesn't really get boosted)

I like what your thinking for Yanmega.. I have one too, its moves are Ancient Power, Uproar, Giga Drain, and Bug Bite, but i think im going to switch uproar to air slash
