I'm Filipino-American, that is to say, my parents are Filipinos who immigrated here. So then I was born and raised in the U.S., with some saying that I'm Full-Filipino under the conditions. But my parents keep telling me I'm Filipino-American And this still confuses me.
Anyway, I can completely understand Tagalog when spoken, yet I have trouble speaking or reading Tagalog...wait, there's another language at PI besides Tagalog?! Well, beside that, I'd like help with that please. sweatdrop

Tagalog just happens to be the national language, it's like in China they have Cantonese and Fookien while in the Philippines they have a lot of dialects that would expand this message bubble way too much.

Pinoy din po ako! 3nodding I'm a Filipino too!
Lumaki ako sa Pinas. Bikolano. Pero marunong akong Managalog at Bikolano. I grew up int he Philippines. From Bicol. But I'm fluent in Tagalog and Bicol.
Kinakalawang nga lang kasi wala naman akong makausap sa Tagalog/Bikol dito sa Miami maliban sa pamilya ko. Hispanic ang mga tao dito eh. But I'm getting rusty since I rarely have anyone to speak Tagalog/Bicol with here in Miami besides my family. They're all Hispanics.
Subukan ko pong magturo, kung may gusto. 3nodding I'll try to teach if anyone wants to learn.
