I started my own health and fitness routine a few years ago, which only consisted of cardio exercise and smart dietary planning. heart disease runs in my family on my mothers side and 2 family members have died due to heart disease related conditions. I seek to avoid this. my goal was mainly to loose weight (I had been 245 lbs when I started). it took 2 years, but I lost a good 60 lbs.
I have since gotten lazy. a lot of high stress changes happened in my life in the recent past, and only recently have I started doing anything again. I've joined the Y, and eventually want to add strength training to my program. I figure if I'm gonna do anything I might as well do it right. smile

I am a swimmer. Only problem is then it's hell to find shirts that fit my shoulders. >.<
I work out for two hours a day *in the pool*. That's not counting running with my dog and doing an hour's worth of dry-land crud. It's effective, though. I'm going to Nationals.
It's sort of embarrasing sometimes, though. I weigh 135. I'm really fit, great muscles. However, I'm supposed to lose like twenty pounds to be a "godd weight" according to my doctor. All of it is muscle.

Four or five hours a week during the off-season. During the swim season (May-October), probably ten or twelve hours a week.

I got to the workout room at my apartment complex everyday almost. I'm there anywhere from 1hr to 2. Plus I have to usually walk 2 miles to school and 2 miles home.

I'm trying to work out more now. I've been out of practice for a long time, so I'm trying to do some katas and self-defense work at least twice a week...
