How to Enter
The avatar you submit must be your own. No Avatar Builder entries will be accepted.
You may only submit one entry that corresponds with the Clan you're in: either an Aquarian- (green and gold, oceanic merperson) or a Cascadian-themed (blue and silver, river-based merperson) avatar.
Save an image of your avatar. You can do this by right-clicking the image of your avatar in the site header, selecting Save Image As..., saving it to your desktop as a PNG, and then uploading it to your image-hosting site of choice, such as Photobucket, Imgur, or TinyPic.

At the conclusion of the Bonanza, I will lock the thread and draw each winner via an RNG that will select a number between fifteen (which is the first post of the second page) and the total number of posts accrued over twenty-four hours. I will do so eleven times.
No one can win two posting raffle prizes -- platinum or art -- during a single Bonanza. If you won art on the 22nd, you cannot win art, points, or prizes, on the 29th, and if you won platinum + points on the 22nd, you cannot win platinum + points on the 29th.
The eleventh winner will be very lucky. One of our generous Crewmembers, Eternal Rebellion, has offered to raffle off one colored waist-up. Here are some samples from her art blog:

Gameplay
The object of the game is to spell out one of the following sentences, each letter in a different post:
THE ANTIPATHI DELTA IS OURS
This sentence will grant 5 pts. to your team.
PULL THEM INTO THE DEPTHS
This sentence will subtract one completed sentence from your rival Clan's total. All points will be counted and reported at the end of the Bonanza.
But here's the catch:
1. You have to build upon whatever your fellow clansmen have already posted, and
2. You and your clansmen may only work on one sentence at a time.
Let's say that you're an Aquarian. Example of a sequence of posts:
Post 1: Aquarian
T
Post 2: Cascadian
T
Post 3: Aquarian
TH
And so on, until the entire sentence is spelled out by the members of your Clan. Other rules:
You may only build from what has been completed by members of your Clan, so be sure to post the name of your Clan before continuing the sentence.
No double-posting! You cannot post twice in a row, nor can you post and then, once a member of the other Clan posts, post immediately after them. You have to wait until a member of your Clan has posted before posting again.
If you're the one who finishes a sentence for your Clan:
If the other Clan completes a sentence, you don't have to start a new round; you can continue to build off of what your clansmen have completed thus far.
This activity does not award points to individuals.

The poem you submit must be your own. We will be checking for plagiarism.
The haiku format is three lines. The first sentence should have 5 syllables, the second 7 syllables, and the third 5 syllables.
You may only submit one entry. If you are an Aquarian, your haiku must somehow relate to the ocean, and if you are a Cascadian, to a river.

Gameplay
Want to earn some points for your clan of merfolk? Let's do it! (This activity was inspired by this classic forum game.)
At the start of each round, all participants will start with the number 25. If the first participant is an Aquarian, they will add 1 to the total, leaving the number at 26; if the first participant is a Cascadian, they will subtract 1 from the total, leaving the number at 24.
The Aquarians will have the goal of eventually reaching 50, whereas the Cascadians will have the goal of reaching 0. Double-posting is prohibited, which means that you must wait for another participant from either team to post before you can post again.
A round concludes when either 50 or 0 is reached. If you are the person to hit one of those two numbers, congratulations! You've finished the round and can let us know that you did so.
