War has come to Unova. Team Flare had launched a surprise invasion and despite the local resistance, mainly situated in Virbank City, and Snagem's assistance their invasion and conquest of the lower southwest portion of Unova was successful. Flare is now entrenched. However, Snagem's efforts did not end with the retreat from Virbank as numerous Snagems set out to make things harder on Flare's occupation. A rebellious radio broadcast pleads the citizens to action. A hidden refugee camp for the resistors was set up in the heart of the lands Flare now controls. Much needed supplies were smuggled in. And so thanks to Snagem's efforts the Minutemen, an armed force to see Unova free again, has been established in Flare controlled Unova. While currently small they have been organized and giving enough backing to be a thorn in Flare's side, and perhaps one day a true threat. For now, there is little to be done as both sides wait for the other to make the next move.
However, the shadow of war continues to grow, its reach far and wide. For now it seems the invaders will be getting a taste of their own medicine as we turn our attention to Coumarine City, where a massive spike in Shadow energy has been detected by GRAY. There has not been much Shadow Pokemon activity in Kalos since the plague started, so why start now of all times?

The Snagems are sent urgent messages by GRAY to report to Coumarine City where a Shadow energy spike was detected. Upon immediately arrival any Snagem could see the cause of the disturbance as two Shadow Pokemon have already begun to wreck havoc on the port city. A Shadow Rhydon rampages around, drilling through buildings and anything else unfortunate enough to get in its path. Likewise a Shadow Avalugg stomps through the city, freezing anything that moves. Their attention, if Shadow Pokemon even possess such a thing, appears to be focused on destroying the city proper, the docks left alone.
No sign of Flare, the Royal Guard, or any Kalosian defense can be found, more than likely due to the sheer surprise of this sudden event, coupled with Kalos' diverted attention at this time. Regardless, the despite the government of Kalos being Snagem's enemy the people weren't and if left to their own devices the Shadow Pokemon plague would spread here too. They must be stopped and if Snagem can be the ones to save Coumarine City perhaps they could rekindle the good tidings they earned from the Kalosian people and put an end to this war from the inside.

I would run out of the Courmaine Pokemon Center the second Rala teleported me there, returning her to her ball on the way out. The second I found the two Shadow Pokemon, I would put a Vivid Scent in my Immunizer and activate it, that no pokemon in the Immunizer's range could contract the virus. That done, I let Samurai and Sparrow out of their balls, the latter using Razor Shell on the Shadow Rhydon and the latter using Flame Charge on the Shadow Avalugg.
Amaranth couldn't say that she was terribly impressed with the news, let alone how sudden it was. She did her best to try and make it in a timely manner on her Togekiss, seemingly resigned to the likelihood that at least one of her Pokemon might end up infected. Picking up on the scent in the air as she arrived, she'd be at relative ease long enough for it to disappear as she saw the rampage led by an Avalugg and Rhydon. Recalling Breeze and sighing to herself, she'd take out another Pokeball and swallow her fears, hoping she wouldn't be in over her head.
"Tropius!" She called, letting out the shadowfied Pokemon and taking a step back just in case he decided that she was a more suitable target. "Leaf Storm on-" To her good fortune, Tropius seemed to be receptive enough and fired off the attack, but not enough to let a target be decided. Instead, he'd launch the attack at Avalugg, several of the leaves freezing and falling to the ground from all the ice and freezing winds it was causing. She hoped it would still have some sort of effect, but she hung her head all the same. "...Rhydon. Close enough," she remarked afterward.

The Razor Shell would be little of a nusance to the Shadow Rhydon as it growled softly, spun around, and charged Samurai, sweeping the much smaller Pokemon off its feet as it executed a Drill Run, aiming to send them both crashing into a nearby house. Sparrow's Flame Charge would do slightly more as the relatively futile Leaf Storm distracted the giant beast, allowing Sparrow to slam right into its head with its burning tackle. The Ice giant would groan in pain and anger, deciding to retaliate with a Shadow Rave, a wild and terrible waves of erratic Shadow energy rapidly spreading outward from it to consume anyone near it.
Hopefully Amaranth and Terashi got some help and quick, else wise these things would make short work of them both.

Odd appeared in Coumarine City alongside Lykas, spotting the pair of large, Shadowfied Pokemon. "Here's my chance to get some work on this, finally..." He told himself, drawing out a Pokeball and unleashing his Golurk into the area. "Dissonance! Stomping Tantrum!" He called to his infected partner.
Go....LUUUURRRK!" The Ghost-type roared, stamping his feet on the ground and causing the area to rumble as he stomped toward Rhydon, intending to stomp the stone rhino to death if he could.
Lykas threw Lux's ball out into the area and called his own order, pointing out Avalugg. "Eruption!" The small Quilava braced himself against the ground, took a deep breath and then slammed his foot into the soil, causing Dissonance's rumbling ground to split apart into a thin crevice beneath the massive moving glacier, from which came a gush of liquid flame like lava.

Help would soon arrive in the form of an Ultra Ball spinning into the midst of those in the way of the Shadow Rave, letting loose a Shadow Empoleon in a burst of vivid white light.
"Iron Defense!"
"Empol!" The steel-type screeches defiantly, its virus-maddened eyes glaring down the opposing Rhydon as it crosses its armored flippers to take the brunt of the Drill Run's momentum. Even though the attack was super-effective, barring a crit it seemed like a relatively safe enough maneuver to divert the incoming bogey. Shining plates of overlapped conjured armor shimmer into existence across both tower-shield like fins as it preps for the impact.
Darts lands near the other two, jacket flapping out behind him as he catches the returning capture capsule in his gilt fist, snapping his arm out to pluck it from the air. "Hands off the merchandise, yeah? I know one of them has some nice legs but those are property of Team Snagem and we aren't liable to share."

"Tati, Bulldoze on that Rhydon!" A sound that was something akin to singing would fill the air before the Flygon would come into view, her trainer jumping off before she would charge in and stomped towards the Rhydon herself.
Aile would join the others while running a hand through her hair, sporting what looked like a bit of a nasty gash on her right cheek, though it was at least healing, and it didn't look too recent."Well, hell. Why the hell am i not surprised this would happen," the woman would grumble, gripping her staff tightly in her hand.

The fortunate part was that Tropius didn't have much to worry about from the Shadow Rave. Though the attack hit, it was shrugged off due to the similar energies between Pokemon and attack alike. The unfortunate part was that Amaranth wasn't going to have any such luxury and was left bracing herself when she doubted she'd be getting away with how fast it was spreading towards her.
But then help came from an unlikely source, one that she wasn't sure if she should be grateful for or try and kick through one of the buildings that Rhydon had already bored a way through. "Thanks," she said after a moment, though the look she shot with it suggested that maybe she wasn't quite ready to call herself property. Ever. "You want to repeat that second part, or can we just pretend you didn't say that?"
While the rest of the additional help concerned itself with the Shadow Rhydon, another of the new additions found herself preparing to face down the other member of this terrible twosome.
An extremely close face down in fact, as an Iron Defense bound Leslie came slamming onto the head of the Shadow Avalugg. The metal midget would quickly roll through the slam, swinging her secondary mouth as a pendulum to send herself flying over to the crowd of Snagems before landing with an open Pokeball. "Heel, you giant ice cube." She barked, a scowl on her face as she stared down the Ice type.
Looking over towards her Torkoal, she would watch as the Pokemon slowly looked towards the Avalugg before opening its mouth and....just venting a large cloud of hot air towards the gargantuan glacier with a belch. While it wasn't the classiest way to fire off a Heat Wave attack, it would certainly lead to some uncomfortable burning for both their Shadow Pokemon opponents.

And yet another help addition was in the fray, ready to tumble and rumble. Rhymes not content with the message from the SNAG, and she sets off with the coordinates to join her team.
Something just feels off about the situation to her. Perhaps its from her previous training in her connection to the thundery legendary, but there are two Shadow Pokemon threatening the city....and now....
The Hybrid flies lower, resting on the back of her Altaria, taking in and trying to locate anything the others are missing as the fight rages on.
In times of stress and chaos, after all, one mustn't lose their head, and Rhyme's insistent on keeping hers through this.
"No mercy, either of you!" I shouted as Samurai and Sparrow displayed their difficulty at putting the Shadow Pokemon down. 'Samurai, try using Aqua Jet instead. Sparrow, keep building up speed with Flame Charge."
Samurai got back up and imbued his body with Water-type energy lunging toward the Shadow Rhydon that would eventually carry his body in a jet of water, rocketing him toward the Shadowed Rock-type. Sparrow would simply rush at Avalugg again, the fire in her feathers hastening her assault.

"Thanks Claydol," Night said, absently as she appeared in the midst of the destruction currently taking place. Admittedly, the Ninetales had been a little hesitant about jumping into another fight so soon after the last one, which left her a nice souvenir in the form of a large wound, now mostly healed, across her right temple. However, she couldn't deny her curiosity regarding these shadow pokemon. Having not encountered one, personally, Night just had to see what the fuss was about for herself. She was not disappointed.
Tossing two pokeballs, Night released her Houndoom and Gyarados to join the battle, "Heru, help take out that Avalugg with Inferno. Dorkfish, you go after Rhydon with Hydro Pump."
The Shadow Rhydon's Drill Run was stopped dead in its tracks, the best snarling angrily at the Emoleon which stopped it. With no time to retaliate the beast would see the incoming stomping Golurk and spin out of the way, the force of the stomp next to it powerful enough to cause it to stumble, leaving it open for Flygon to swoop in and rm it with its Bulldoze. Skidding backwards the angry Shadow Pokemon would grab hold of Flygon's tail, swing it violently, and then throw it into Empoleon. It was in this moment however that e blue blur of flesh and water rammed into it, causing it to spin round to face the incoming Hydro Pump smacking into it and sending it flying into the ruins of someone's house.
Things were no better for the Shadow Avalugg as Leslie came down from above and slammed into its head, the monster roaring in pain. The attack was followed up with a belch of searing air, the Shadow Pokemon flinching from the heat but finding moment to fight back as it 'puked' up a Surf attack to send its assailants away into the sea. Something similar like what happened to Rhydon occurred as a red blur of feathers and fire slammed into it followed up by a searing shot of Inferno right to its send, sending the Shadow Pokemon stumbling and falling over over the ocean wall it stood near.
For a few seconds all was calm, the Shadow Pokemon seemingly defeated. It wasn't until Sub showed up with Monstressor and Valdemar out did things heat up again. “Look out!” He alerted them. The two Shadow Pokemon were rising up out of the ruins and ocean respectively, both surrounded by massive swirling vortexes of Shadow energy. They were preparing a dual Shadow Storm, the Snagems finding themselves right in-between them. “I'm putting an end to this. If someone wants to help me snag these things then jump in.” Sub said as he braced for the attack.
With only seconds to react the Snagems would find themselves sandwiched between two rapidly advancing twisters of Shadow energy, both far larger than their creators. Soon the two would become one gigantic hurricane of vile energy, consuming the Snagems and the city if not stopped. They must be captured.

While she had certainly been expecting an attack in response to her little smash and dash on the Avalugg, the small tsunami that was currently rushing towards her and Mikey was a little bigger than she had hoped it would be. Hopping onto the back of her Torkoal, the pair would begin to float away as the Surf washed them out from where the Ice type had originally been. This floating would last for about five seconds before the pair would begin to slowly sink into the wave washing them away. Apparently a rock for a shell and a metal girl did not make for great flotation.
Thankfully, they only sank about three inches as the water began to spread and slowly wash back to sea. "Well, this may have been slightly over-dramatic." Leslie grumbled, her Torkoal turning to look at her with a simple smile on its face even as it shuddered in pain from the wave that had impacted it. Looking up, the small hybrid would spot the two Shadow Pokemon preparing to level the place now. Well, she was missing her Pokeballs to cut it off at the pass but hopefully someone else could do something for this. Well, besides the rocks she was throwing at the two Pokemon and the Ember blasts that her Torkoal was spitting out at them.
One more would be rather late to the party, but hopefully right on time to contribute to stopping the attack. "Zebstrika! Thunder Wave! Weavile! Fake Out!" A red, white, and black blur rushed towards the waters and quickly scaled the Rhydon. At the top of the head of Rhydon a Weavile with both claws smacked the Rhydon hard in the face, hopefully going for the eyes and making the rocky behemoth disengage. Though shortly following that up an electrical pulse was unleashed towards the ocean-bound Avalugg to put that thing under wraps as well, if anything to make it easier to be captured.
From the distance, Tristen could be seen alongside with his Zebstrika unleashing its attack. With the most horrendous of luck in regards to Shadow Pokemon early, he was perhaps the best suited to come out, with three Pokemon that had a history of being under the shadow virus, two of them that he had out right now. "Please let that Rhydon have Rock Head..." Tristen mused to himself.
