She said
Almost emphatically
That she was a "hooker"
They looked at her
In confusion, wondering
As to how she ended up
In such a profession
She blinked, unamused
By the question, as she
Wasn't what she was
Not in the sense
That they were thinking of
She reminded them that,
The French word for "hook"
Was "crochet"
It took slightly less energy
To say "hooker" than it did to say
"Crocheter"
She stated simply
That she was a hooker
And it had nothing to do with
The oldest proffesion
Instead it had more to do
With yarncrafts.
