SO HAPPY, SO YOUTHFUL
You look so happy,
So youthful, so young.
Your life as you know it,
Has only just begun.
Late nights and booze,
They're now your routine.
If it were that simple
Life would only be a dream.
Narcotics, fixes and fits.
You think your in control
Your body though is his collateral
And he will take his toll.
You look so happy,
So youthful, so young.
Your life as you know it,
Has only just begun.
You've taken from him
Do you owe him a debt?
You'll pay with your life!
If not just your head!
It's too late,
He's already won,
Taken what he needs,
Your under his charm
You look so happy,
So youthful, so young.
Your life as you know it,
Has only just begun.
Your teeth are now breaking,
Your face sagging.
Your heart pounding.
Your lungs rusting.
Whoever thought it'd be like this,
Your narcotic fix retrieving what his.
You were warned he'd collect his debt, And there's no way out,
I bet this you now regret?
You look so sad
So old, so wrong.
Your life as you know it,
Is now done.
Fairwell your friends,
Your family, your foes.
Today, the day you leave this world,
IS THIS THE LIFE YOU WANTED?

- Title: So Happy, So Youthful.

Description:
A poem inspired by my Ex-Boyfriend a few years back.
It was hard to watch him self destruct using Crystal Meth (Amongst other things).
This is his progression from my viewpoint on the outside.
