Stand back; here comes the king,
The shining royal of success with a crown and a ring,
Fanfare blesses the oath that bows down to his majesty,
Colorful emotions blow off like the prismatic radiance you see,
I'm the peasant and nobody is cheering for me,
Sweat from the brow patting a spade into a dust cloud,
They cough; they walk away to fake themselves better,
I still keep my head up through the most horrific of weather,
I could be king... I have the capabilities people used to see,
One day they all pushed me down and said it couldn't be me,
The awe of power that rested in my hand vanished in thin air,
Crumpling my self esteem to make my current existence aware,
Greatness lies in those who don't suffer humiliation,
The eyes in the sky look down but are not the eyes of a God,
They look down at me, a wrenched heart, plowing the fields just to get by,
Then pan up to the king who takes every effortless advantage and gets away with it.
