Oh black butterfly
I see you flutter by
One more soul in the sky
while all us ground folks cry
You sit on the casket for a minute
Stare at the great man inside it
lead the soul to heaven's sky
listens to the cries nearby.
This sad sad day
as the butterfly flies away
as the family may
cry and cry today
End of a life so full of wonder
touched the hearts of many
Cries for you fill the sky
Lifted to heaven lead by
the black butterfly.

Description:
I went to a funeral for Uncle Macky. Probably the first time I cried while writing a poem like this. A black butterfly really did land on his casket mid-ceremony. I wrote this on a tissue as soon as I saw it.
