• Once in the land of Lunalore
There was a terrible, terrible war
A battle for the cosmos bright
That were nearly destroyed inside the fight

A girl and boy of equal age
One a fighter, one a mage
Were lovers from the day they met
Seven years before war was set

They played together in the trees
    Ran together in the breeze
Though they were young, only thirteen
They'd shared more love than their world had ever seen

Married, they would soon be so
Only three more months to go
But rival lands came to attack
To take with them the stars their galaxies lacked

And so began the tragic war
The battle for the stars of Lunalore
The warrior boy was drafted in
5 days before their wedding would've been

Blood was shed as the battle raged
Word got back to the worried mage
That so many men weer dying
More in the ground than there were surviving

And so she set herself aside
For two and a half hours she cried
And then devised herself a plan
To rescue her love, her life, her man

A magic spell on herself she placed
Put hair on her chest and hair on her face
A man she was, ready for war
And set off to the battlefield of Lunalore

Battles were fought and battles were lost
But the mage knew she must survive at all cost
For if she did not, her love would die
The thought hurt her more than a sword to her thigh

Preparing for battle, she turned to her sphere
To her it would show the future so clear
    "Oh crystal ball, shining bright
What shall be my fate tonight?"

But before she could see the image that appeared
The trumpets were sounding, her veins filled with fear
The battle for the cosmos was the last she would fight
She knew it in her heart and of course she was right

As she galloped into battle on her large, black beast
A man caught her eye who was almost deceased
It was her lover, the warrior, the man she knew
And instantly she knew what she had to do

She raced towards him with purpose, put him up on her horse
And galloped off the field to the safety of the forest
She nursed him to health and revealed her true form
Shedding the men's weeds that she ad so long adorned

Together they left the planet of Lunalore
The place that they knew would be doomed to lose the war
They found themselves a paradise a million light-years away
A land that they named "The land of Cananday"

In that land, they lived in peace
The mage, the warrior, and the beast
    Generations later, Cananday has grown
I would know, after all, it's the place I call home.
